Today on our 2001 Dodge Ram Pickup, we are going to review and install the Curt Class 4, Two Inch Tube Receiver Hitch, Part Number 14001. Here is what our hitch is going to look like once installed. As you can see, there is minimal showing of our cross tube but it is a sturdy square cross tube design with a fully welded construction. Then our Class 4, 2 inch receiver tube has chain hold-downs on each side and it's a 2 inch by 2 inch opening with a 5/8 pinhole pre-drilled all the way through the receiver tube. The hitch itself is capable of up to 1000 pounds of tongue weight and 10,000 pound tow capacity. Next, we will give you a couple measurements to assist you with selecting accessories for a new hitch such as ball mount, bike rack or cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outer most of the edge of the bumper is 3 inches. From the top of the receiver tube opening down to the ground is 16 1/4 inches. We now go ahead and show you the minimum tools required for installing the hitch. more

Today on our 2001 Dodge Ram pickup we're going to review and install the Curt Class 5 extra duty 2 inch receiver tube hitch, part #C15300. Here's what it looks like once it's installed. As you can see we've got our heavy duty, square, cross-tube design into a fully welded construction. The entire hitch has a nice black powder coated finish. Blends in nicely with the under body of the vehicle. On either side of the receiver tube is our chain hold down. All the way through the receiver tube is the pre-drilled 5/8 pinhole. more

Today in our 2001 Dodge Ram pickup, we're going to review and install the Curt Extra Duty Class Five two inch receiver tube hitch, part number C15318. Here's what it's going to look like once installed, as you can see we've got the big square cross tube design and a fully welded construction, it's got a black powder-coated finish so it blends with the under body of vehicle, then our chain hold downs on either side of the receiver tube. Pre-drilled is our five based pin hole goes all the way through our receiver tube and our two inch by two inch receiver tube for the class five hitch. The hitch itself is capable of up to twenty four hundred pounds of tongue weight and sixteen thousand pounds tow capacity. Next we'll give you a couple measurements to assist you in selecting accessories for your new hitch such as a ball mount, bike rack, or cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outer most edge of the bumper is four and a quarter inches, from the top of the receiver tube opening down to the ground is sixteen and a quarter inches. We'll now show you the minimum tools required for installing the hitch. more
