Blue Ox Fuse ByPass Switch Installation - 2014 Honda CR-V

Clayton: Hello everyone. Clayton here at etrailer.com. Today we'll be taking a look at, and I'll show you how to install the Blue Ox Fuse Bypass on our 2014 Honda CRV.You might be wondering why do I need a fuse bypass They really come in handy because you don't have to pull that micro fuse every time that we want to flat tow. And the reason we'd have to pull it is because when we're flat towing our vehicle, it'll run down on a battery. So using that fuse bypass simply turns off that fuse and keeps our battery from dying when we're flat towing. And part of our fuse bypass is going to be this handy-dandy switch. I mounted it right here in our little cubby. more

Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit Installation - 2014 Honda CR-V

Speaker 1: Today on this 2014 Honda CRV, we're going to review, and install the Road master four diode universal wiring kit for towed vehicles, part number RM-152-98146-7. What this kit does for you is relays the signals from your RV back to your CRV, so all the vehicles behind you can see what's going on. Once it's installed, this is all you're going to see. It's not much. You're aren't going to get the effect of it, where you have your running light circuit here, and then also your turn signal, when it's applied on your motor home. One thing you'll notice, that the kit will make the brake light and running light on your CRV, act as a running light, turn signal and brake. Because remember, this is your turn signal when you're normally driving down the road. more

Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit Installation - 2014 Honda CR-V- Video

Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit Installation - 2014 Honda CR-V

Today on our 2014 Honda CR-V, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Roadmaster tail light wiring kit for towed vehicles, part number RM-152-LED. Our Roadmaster LED light kit is going to allow us to have all the necessary lights when we're flat towing our car behind a motor home and still be able to signal the drivers behind us whether we're stopping or turning, making sure that we're safe. The nice thing about these lights is, is it completely bypasses your vehicle's original lights. As you can see in here, we have a separate light from our factory bulb. The reason why this is great is because we don't have to worry about overloading our vehicle's electrical system or any kind of warranty issues that may arise. The LED bulbs that we're going to use, they burn brighter, last longer, and activate faster than incandescent bulbs. We know that with these LEDs, they're going to last us a long time and they generate less heat than incandescent bulbs so we don't have to worry about any damage that might occur to our taillight housing. more

Roadmaster Diode 7 to 6 Wire Coil Kit Installation - 2014 Honda CR-V

Today on our 2014 Honda CRV we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the Roadmaster DIODE 7Wire to 6Wire FlexoCoil Wiring Kit, part number RM-15267. The great thing about a diode is that this is going to prevent back feeding. Let's say this is our motor home input, it can only go to the outside. We're not going to have to worry about it looping back around and heading back up this wire; that's called back feeding. Our motor home is not going to back feed to our car, and our car is not going to back feed to the motor home. If we we're to just run a wire back here and connect it, just splice it in, it would operate the lights but there's going to be some weird things happening. more

Roadmaster Tow Bar Wiring Kit Installation - 2014 Honda CR-V

On this 2014 Honda CRV we're going to review and install the Road Master universal high power diode wiring kit, part number RM-154. With this part number this is what we get. First off we have our diodes right here in the center. This will actually mix our inputs into the factory wire harness. We also have some butt connectors here to make some wire connections if we need to. We also have a ring terminal here for our ground to go into the sheet metal, typically behind the tail light. We have a length of wire about 30 feet long that will reach from the front of the vehicle to the back of the vehicle. We have a short distance of lumen material to help protect the wires going around corners or when the wire is visible maybe just to hide the colors. Lastly, going between your RV and your towed vehicle, in this case our CRV, will be this extension piece right here that will go between the vehicle and the CRV and of course some zip ties help hold it in place. more
