Now the B&W hitch is going to be a great option to be able to tow gooseneck trailers down the road safely. But in addition to gooseneck trailers, B&W also makes the companion fifth wheel hitch, whether you want the slider or the stationary one, they're both gonna drop down into the square shank of your gooseneck, you'll take your ball out, drop your fifth wheel hitch down in it. It locks down to your bed, so that you're safe to tow your fifth wheel trailer too. more

Now, this is what it your rails are gonna look like when they're installed and you can see when you don't have your fifth wheel in place, you still maintain a lot of your bed space. It only raises up just maybe a inch or two and really, that's not gonna take away a ton from your bed, and when you are ready put your fifth wheel in, it's gonna drop in. Now, this one is a standard size, so you have a bunch of different fifth wheels that are gonna work with these rails. So just because it's B&W doesn't mean you have to go with a B&W fifth wheel. Hi there, Chevy owners. Today, on your 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install CURT's base rails. And this is what our base rails look like when they're installed. You can see that they sit above the bed, but they really don't stick up very high, about an inch above the top part of your higher corrugation there. And they are fairly smooth, so I do prefer base rails that are like this where all the bolts are carriage bolts and they're down in the lower section. That way, things are still smooth on top here. more

Rob: Hey, everybody. Rob here at etrailer.com and today we're going to be taking a look at the Reese underbed rail and installation kit on our 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. Now our Reese underbed rail kit is going to allow us to mount up a fifth wheel but also have a fully open bed when we're not towing. Most this wheels are going to require to have rails inside the bed, which they don't stick up that high, but they are going to stick up about an inch or two, which means we really don't have a flat surface in our bed anymore. But as you can see, there's no rails on top of our bed because they're all underneath and our fifth wheel is just going to slide right into these puck systems and then the plugs here are going to make sure that whenever we are hauling something in the bed, maybe we picked up a load of mulch, we got some rock back here, it's going to make sure that it doesn't fall inside the pucks and get all dirty and then the ring on the outside just really gives it that finished look.It almost has a factory look to it if you we're to see a truck that has the prep package in it. This is probably the closest thing you can get as an aftermarket option to have that puck system in your bed. more

Our Reese above that brace rails here are going to provide an attachment point for a fifth wheel trailer hitch however, we could also use a gooseneck plate if we have a gooseneck trailer. Now, the great thing about these Reese base rails are, they're going to accept fifth wheel hitches from a wide variety of different brands. Whatever hitch you have that uses industry standard above-bed base rails they're going to work with these Reese rails.As we can see here, we have the different slots which are going to accommodate some of the different fifth wheel hitches reissues as these two middle ones right here, I think some of the cuts 00:00:42 use the outside ones are the huskies and then our gooseneck plates actually mount with these two slots right here. more

The rails themselves are going to have a very thick steel construction with a carbide black finish on it, so it's going to be very durable.You're not going to have to worry about, because these are going to be permanently installed in the bed of your truck, you're not going to have to worry about rust or corrosion getting to them because of that thick carbide finish. Demco Hijacker Underbed Rail and Kit Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Today on this 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're going to review and install the Underbed Rail Installation Kit for a Demco Hijacker UMS fifth wheel and gooseneck trailer hitches, part number DM8551010.This is what the rails look like when they're installed under the truck. You can see we got the two cross rails going from left to right, and they sit on the frame below the bed. Let's check out on the bed of a truck, and we have our hitch already in place. It's kind of integral for installation by the way, but we take a look down here. All we have is four holes drilled in the bed, two inch diameter holes, very easy to do, and your hitch sits right in there. The big plus about this setup is, is that when you take your hitch out, you have full access to your bed.Now these base rails will fit a variety of Demco products, including all the auto slide pitches they offer. more

Now, the reason you're going to want a set of rails like these is because having a set of rails gives you the option not only to tow a 5th wheel trailer, but you can also use a gooseneck trailer with a proper adapter. This is more versatile than just having an underbed system with pucks where you can only use a 5th wheel and you can't use a gooseneck.Now, one thing that's really unique about these rails compared to other rails out there was, if you're using a rail system, most of the time you typically don't know how much the rail is rated for as far as weight capacities. Draw-Tite Underbed Kit for Hi-Rise 5th Wheel Installation - 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Speaker 1: Today in our 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite custom Underbed installation kit for hi-rise fifth wheel trailer hitch, part number 9465-56-5W.To begin our install we've already gone ahead and removed out spare tire so we have a little bit more room to work. Now we find ourselves in the passengers side wheel well. We need to remove the exhaust heat shield, in order to do that on top of our frame we'll find two 13 millimeter bolts. This is the easiest way to get to them, with a ratcheting wrench. Now underneath the truck our heat shield is held in place with two more bolts, one on the top of our rear cross member and then another one further up forward on the front cross member. With all of our hardware removed the heat shield will now slide out and we can discard it.Now we'll make a mark in the bed of truck where we need to drill out a pilot hole to make our enlarged hole for the gooseneck ball. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the B&W Custom Base Rails and Installation Kit for Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitches, part number BWRVK2502.Here's what our base rails look like, now this is going to allow us to mount up a fifth wheel trailer hitch so we can tow our trailer down the road safely. Our rails here are gonna accept any industry standard fifth wheel hitch that's gonna sit into above the bed rails. Now what you're really gonna appreciate about these rails is the fact that they're not gonna take up that much space in our bed. They're only gonna stick up from the ribs about an inch.Now these are made out of steel and they're gonna have a nice gray, powered coat finish which is gonna give them that distinctive look compared to a lot of other ones that are just that black powered coat.It's gonna utilize custom fit brackets that are gonna go directly into the frame, that's gonna make sure that we use the weld nuts that are already existing so we're not gonna have to drill into the frame, making installation that much easier.Now that we've seen what our rails look like and we've gone over some of the features let's show you how to get them installed. To begin our installation you're gonna want to take one of the rails and go ahead and put it in the truck bed. We're gonna be taking a tape measure and making a few measurements. more

Speaker 1: Today in our 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 we're going to be taking a look at showing you how to install the Underbed Rail and Installation Kit for Demco Hijacker 5th Wheel and Gooseneck Trailer Hitches, part number DM8551002.Here's what our underbed rail kit looks like when it's fully installed. It's gonna provide us four locations to mount our fifth wheel or gooseneck and they do provide us with these covers, so we don't have to worry about any debris getting inside. Our underbed rails are gonna be compatible with the Demco Hijacker 5th Wheel that has the underbed rail mounting system as well as the Demco Hijacker Gooseneck that has the underbed mounting system. As you can see, when we're not towing, we do have the option to take it out and we'll have complete full bed access.Now here we have two rails that are going across our truck bed and as well as these two plates, they're gonna mount to the frame. Now it is a custom installation kit, which means we're not gonna have to drill any holes in our frame, which is gonna save us quite a bit of time and everything is going to be specifically made for your truck.Now, what makes this rail kit a little bit different than most is that it is an underbed kit. A lot of kits have the rails on top, which is not gonna take up a whole lot of room in your bed, but you're looking at about anywhere from an inch to inch and a half that the rails are gonna sitting up there. more

Today on our 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit, part number C16411-204. So here's what our rails look like fully installed. They're going to allow us to mount a fifth wheel trailer hitch and pull a fifth wheel trailer. And when we're not towing with our fifth wheel, we can go ahead and pull the hitch out and with the hitch out of the bed we're only going to be taking up about an inch of vertical space in our truck bed. Now this is a custom fit application, so it's going to cut down the installation time and require less drilling than most universal kits. These are designed to work with most industry standard above the bed fifth wheel hitches. This is also going to work well with several different goose neck adapters, which is going to be nice if you don't want to cut a big hole in the middle of your bed. It's going to feature a carbide powder coat finish which is going to complement any color truck. Now that we've gone over some of the features, let's show you how we get it installed. more

Curt Fifth Wheel Kit Installation - 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're going to take a look at, and also show you how to install, the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit with carbide finish. The part number is C16411-204. Now, this is what our custom side plates look like installed. You see these bolt directly to the frame using some M16 bolts that go right into weld nuts. That allows for excellent connection points between our frame and the end of our rails up here on each side without the need to drill out the frame or make any kind of modifications. As you can see, the carbide finish is going to give you a nice clean look. We got good sturdy rails and it's gonna offer the three different widths: the outer, middle, and inner widths that are very typical with most standard fifth wheel hitches. more

This fifth wheel bed rail system is particularly nice because it fits many different fifth wheel hitches and goose neck adapters. As you can see it's got the different slots for different sizes. Demco Underbed Rail Kit Installation - 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Demco Underbed Rail and Installation Kit for the Demco Hijacker UnderBed Mount Series Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Trailer Hitches, part number DM8551002. Something that's really nice about those underbed rails is that not only does it give you full bed access when you don't have the fifth wheel in place, but when you do put the fifth wheel in it's much easier to lock it in place because you don't have to worry about lining up the tabs and then putting the pin through on the underside. Rather, you get the pins down into their location, twist the handles, and they're locked into place. Now let's show you how easy it is to install the fifth wheel hitch from this setup. On this with these silver handles all the way out, that's going to turn these pins into the proper position in order to be able to slide down into the holes in the rails. Once it's down into place, you take these handles and turn them inward in order to lock those pins inside our rails. Once we've got our handles turned inward underneath the lip here, we can take our pins and slide them down through the holes. more

B and W Companion Underbed Kit Installation - 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're going to be showing you how to install the B,W custom underbed installation kit for the B,W companion fifth wheel trailer hitches. Part number is BWGNRK1016-5W. This kit's going to allow you to use the B,W companion gooseneck to fifth wheel trailer hitch adapter with dual jaws, with a 20,000 pound weight capacity available in standard configuration. That's part number BWRVK3500 or in a slider version, part number BWRVK3400. The underbed design of this kit allows for for full truck bed access and when youre ready, it's under five minutes to convert your empty truck bed into a fifth wheel hitch off. We'll start off by unlocking our B,W hitch and installing our fifth wheel adapter. We have ours preassembled, but you can adjust your the uprights here depending on your truck and trailer combination. At this point, the hitch is ready to attach to the trailer. more

Curt Fifth Wheel Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Today, in our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we are going to be taking a look at and installing the Curt custom fifth wheel installation kit, part number C16413-204. Here is what they are going to look like installed. As you can see, they've got a nice black powder coated carbide finish. These rails are designed to work with the Curt Q45 fifth wheel hitch, but they are compatible with most fifth wheel hitches on the market that use the drop in with pin style. What is really nice about these, it's going to be minimal drilling. The only holes you are going to have to drill are going to be the ones through your bed. The brackets on the side of the frame are going to use existing holes and they are custom fit for each vehicle. Many of our customers have said they can be a little difficult to install just because of where the nuts are placed on the bottom side of the bed. more

B&W Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Today on our 2015 Chevrolet 2500HD Crew Cab. We're going to be installing the B&W Custom Underbed Installation Kit for B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches. Part member BWGNRK1012-5W. We're going to first begin our installation by lowering down and setting the spare tire down out of the way for now, this will give us a little more working room. Next we're going to go ahead and remove both of the rear tires, again to give us a little more working room. Next we're going to need to remove the fender liners here one on each side and there are several fasteners that attach it to the bed of the truck. Now with our fasteners removed we can go ahead and work the line around. more

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we'll be installing the BMW Custom Under-Bed Installation Kit for the Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, part number BWGNRK1012-5W. We'll begin first by lowering down the spare tire and setting it out of the way for now. Next, we'll go ahead and remove each of the rear wheels and set those aside for now as well. Next, we're going to ahead and remove the fender liners. To do this, we'll need to remove 4 screws and 3 push fasteners. Now, we'll go ahead and repeat the same process on the driver side. more
