This will reduce oil temperature by as much as 50 degrees, and it cools effectively through the use of this radiator style plate-fin heat exchanger core. It does provide the external lines via the sandwich adapter here for a nice simple installation of your oil cooler without having to reposition the factory oil filter. Derale Engine Oil Cooler Installation - 2009 Dodge Ram- Video
Today on this 2009 dodge 1550, were going to install a Deralle performance kit. This is an engine oil cooler kit, part number d15551. Were going to take our inch NTP by inch far Inaudible 00:00:14 fittings, apply some thread tape, lets go ahead and do that that now. Quick tech tip when putting on your thread tape is to make sure youre going with the thread so when youre installing it, it will help seal up and lock in the thread tape and install them on both the filter mount and spin on adapter. That completes our first one, were going to go and repeat the same process for the other 3. Our next step is going to be accessing the engine compartment and were going to remove a couple of trim panels so we can remove the grill to get access to mount our new oil cooler. more
