Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2017 Subaru Outback Wagon- Video
Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Hopkins trailer wiring harness here on a 2017 Subaru Outback. A trailer wiring harness is gonna be required to tow a trailer here with your Outback. In addition to this, we're going to need a trailer hitch as well as a ball mount/hitch ball. All of which we carry here at etrailer. So to simply put, a trailer wiring harness is gonna transfer these signals from our vehicle to our trailer so we can let other motorists out on the road know what signals we're gonna be or making allowing us to ride to our destination safe and sound. So this is not only a legal requirement in pretty much every state, but a lot of the time, some of our trailers especially in the camping trailers are actually gonna block the tail lights on the vehicle. more

Hopkins Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2017 Subaru Outback Wagon- Video
Today on our 2017 Subaru Outback Wagon we're going to take a look at, then show you how to install the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness. This offers the 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. It's part number is HM11143885. Now our 4-pole wire, that's going to come right off the end of the back of the bumper here. You see we've got that nice pad there so when we close the door it allows that to compress without having any harm done to it. Connect it to our cargo carrier or trailer, whatever you've got. Easy to use and then when we don't need it, we just store it right there. This is what our wiring kit is going to look like. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2017 Subaru Outback Wagon- Video
Today on our 2017 Subaru Outback Wagon we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with the 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. Part number is C56040. Now when we're ready to use our wiring we can simply bring it back and see nice cushioning there, it's going to protect our wire, pull out whatever length we need to connect to our trailer. When not in use, put our dust cover around it there, and what I like to do is just kind of bundle my wiring up, bring that around, secure it off, and we can put the rest of our trays back in place. Now this is what our wiring kit is going to look like when we pull it out of the package. That's what we're after there, that's going to be our standard 4-Pole trailer connector. This will allow us to connect to a trailer, maybe a cargo carrier, it's going to give us our right turn and brake, left turn and brake, our running lights, and our ground. Now to deliver that signal to the trailer, we've got out converter box. more

Today, on our 2017 Subaru Outback wagon, we're going to take a look at, and also show you how to install, the tow-ready T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with the 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. Part number is 118467. Now, when we're ready for use, we're just going to drape it right over that weather seal there. That gives us a nice, cushioned area to keep it protected. You don't want to get it in the striker. That's going to cause damage. Like that, ready for use, connected to whatever accessory we've got back here we want to use it with. more
