Ron: How's it going everybody Ron here at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Hopkins multi-tow trailer connector on our 2019 Chevrolet Colorado. Now, our Hopkins multi-tow trailer connector is going to fit directly into the bumper. And it almost looks factory because this is the same connector that is going to come from the factory. It's going to provide us with a seven way connector, as well as a four way connector, which is really nice because those are the two most common trailer connectors that you see on trailers.Now, our four way trailer connectors here on the bottom is to provide us all of our light functions, like our taillights, our turn signals, and our brake lights. Now, the seven ways you can also provide those light functions, but it's also going to give us a way to add a brake controller in and have that brake output signal, our reverse light signals, and a 12 volt power source.And each one of the doors is spring loaded. more

Today on our 2019 Chevy Colorado, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the seven and four pole trailer connector socket with mounting bracket.Now, this is what our plug looks like installed. It's really nice because you get a two for one package, and what I mean by that is not only do you have your seven-way plug . on the bottom is also your four-way plug.It even offers that nice factory look. It literally just pops right into place into a factory hole. Now, the caps are spring loaded which means it will keep them closed when you want them closed and open when you want them open. On the seven-way, you have this retainer clip here to help your wire from accidentally pulling out.On both sides on the four-way cap and the seven-way, there is a weatherproof seal. more

Here we have your three wiring harnesses for your Chevrolet Colorado. You'll notice they look a lot different. The reason is these are different options depending on how your vehicle is set up. If you have factory wiring but you don't have a factory plug, maybe you don't have a factory seven-pole plug, this wire right here is going to give you that option. You can hook right into your factory wiring and it's going to give you the four-pole plug option, which is going to give you your proper lighting functions, both turn signals, running lights, and brake lights.However, it's going to add two additional wires that allow you to adapt to a six and seven-pole plug. Today, you're going to be taking a look at, I'm going to walk you through the installation on the Curt T Connector for factory wiring harness with four pole flat trailer connector on a 2019 Chevrolet Colorado. If you already have a factory seven pole plug, but you don't have the four pole plug, this is going to work great.Again, it's going to connect directly into it, allow you to maintain the use of it. But, if you're like our vehicle here, don't have the factory seven pole plug, but you have factory wiring for a tow package, and you just need a four pole plug, this gives you that option also, but allows you to maybe add that seven pole plug later.It's going to allow all of your light signals from your factory wiring to be transferred over to your trailer so you can safely pull .
