Rob: Hey, everybody. Rob here at etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate on our 2013 Jeep Wrangler. Now if you we're wanting to take your Jeep with you behind your motor home and flat tow it, our base plate is going to be the connection point to hook your tow bar up to. Because let's face it, whenever we go camping or we take our motor home on a trip, we want to be able to get where we're going and then once we get to the campgrounds we don't want to be stuck there. It's really nice to be able to take a vehicle with you, because it's going to be a lot easier to drive around than trying to take your motor home with you.Now one thing I do want to mention upfront is we already have our quick disconnect brackets installed onto the arms of our base plate. more

This is what our base plate looks like when it's installed. It's going to be a custom-fit base plate for your Jeep Wrangler with a factory bumper, and it's going to mount directly to your vehicle's chassis. It's going to be one of five main components in a flat tow setup. Speaker 1: Today on our 2013 Jeep Wrangler we're gonna take a look at and also show you how to install the Blue Ox baseplate kit with removable arm. Part number is BX1126. Here's what your baseplate's gonna look like once you get it installed. As you can see, when not in use, it doesn't change the front end look of your Wrangler too much. Of course, you're adding a draw bar across there, but it kinda blends in with the bumper. I like the looks of it. more

Roadmaster MX Base Plate Kit Installation - 2013 Jeep Wrangler- Video
Today on our 2013 Jeep Wrangler we'll be installing the Roadmaster MX Base Plate Kit with Removable Arms, part number 1432-3. We'll take the removable arm, line it up with the receiver tube, and slide it into place. To secure it we'll take the pins and safety clip to secure it. Then to remove it we'll simply remove the safety clip and pin and pull out the removable arm. Now, to begin the install we'll first remove the front rock guard. This is held on with a total of six fasteners, four across the bottom of the bumper and two up underneath the guard. more
