Hey everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2015 Ford F-53 motor home, we're gonna be taking a look at our best sway bar options. When it comes to motor homes, a lot of people really aren't satisfied with how they perform in terms of driving it down the road. The suspension's kinda all over the place, the steering's usually sloppy, and these are just a big brick, more or less, going down the road, and really top heavy, they catch wind. And so a lot of people, they get fatigued trying to handle this thing. It's not a comforting drive, right And a lot of people wonder if there's anything they can do to improve the ride quality. more

Roadmaster Class A Motorhomes Exact Center Steering Stabilizer Installation - 2015 Ford F-53- Video

If you have a motor coach like this, and it has the Ford F-53 chassis, and you're tired of fighting the steering going down the road, whether it's due to crosswinds or uneven pavement, and we've got a product today that's gonna help with that. We're looking at Roadmaster's Exact Center steering stabilizer kit that we've installed on a 2015 Ford F-53 chassis. And one of the reasons I like this kit so much is it's truly a bolt-on kit, and you can get this done at home. This is an all-aluminum cylinder. It's made in the USA, and what it basically consists of is a high-pressure nitrogen cylinder that's gonna tie in with your steering system, and keep you going straight down the road. more

Roadmaster Front Anti-Sway Bar Installation - 2015 Ford F-53- Video
Hey guys, Kevin here with the etrailer. And today, I'm gonna be showing you how to install the front Roadmaster Anti-Sway Bar, here on our F53 motor home. An anti-sway bar is a pretty much essential component of your motor home, especially when you have a Class A motor home, like we do today. Basically what this does, is this is gonna help with your steering. It's gonna kind of keep you in line a little bit better. It's gonna also handle kind of that sway, as you're making tight turns, or if you're up on the highway, hitting the crosswinds when a semi comes by, or maybe it's just a honestly windy day and kinda pushing you, and it's just gonna kinda help keep that body roll from happening. more

Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar Installation - 2015 Ford F-53- Video
Hey guys, Kevin here with etrailer and today I'm gonna be showing you how to install the Roadmaster rear anti-sway bar here on our Ford F-53 motor home. So, rear anti-sway bars are going to give you a much more comfortable ride. The way that they work is that whenever you're starting to make that turn, maybe you have some wind 'cause you're out driving on the highway, maybe you're passing a semi and it's starting to kind of push you one way. What this does is it kind of yanks back down on that frame 'cause as you're getting kind of pushed to that side, that side of your frame's kinda lifting up and then you're losing traction with your tires. So what this does is it pulls it back down, keeps you nice and straight, that way you have more contact with the road, you can make those turns a whole lot easier and kind of deal with all those cross winds. This anti-sway bar and its brackets are all made with a 4140 chromoly steel, so you know it's gonna hold up. more

And this is what our sway bar looks like when it's installed. The Road master rear sway bar is designed to work in conjunction with your factory sway bar. This is our factory sway bar located here just on the other side of the axle. You can kinda see it dipping down just a little bit right here. more

How's it going Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2015 Ford F53, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer. A motor home's steering is usually anything but tight. And so, what that means is you're really going to have to fight that steering wheel as you're driving, trying to go straight down the road. And with wind catching them, they tend to kind of wander and get blown all over the place, which intern, will lead you to over-correcting and having just to fight that wheel.And when you over correct like that too, what tends to happen is your motor home tends to sway a little bit more and just make that ride a lot more uncomfortable. So, before we install our stabilizer, what we like to do is take it for a drive around our test course to see how it performs. more

Hey there motor home owners today, and your 2015 motor home with the Ford F53 chassis, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's rear anti sway bar. And this is what your sway bar's going to look like when it's installed. It's going to work with your factory sway bar, which is located just on the other side of your axle. So you're going to have double the amount of anti sway on your vehicle.That auxiliary sway bar that we've added here is a thicker diameter bar, so it's going to be even stronger than the factory bar that's located on the other side. So what this means for you is that over the life of your RV, you're going to experience less sway. So you won't have so much rocking back and forth. more

Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar Installation - 2015 Ford F-53 1139-144- Video
Today on our 2015 Ford F53 Chassis Motorhome we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar, part number 1139-144. Here we are with our manufacturer's suspension setup. As you can see, our motorhome's going to sway back and forth quite a bit, and the swaying motion's going to add fatigue to the driver trying to always keep your vehicle in a straight line. You can see as we're going, even on a straightaway here, we're getting a lot of side-to-side swaying motion, and that's causing a lot of feedback in our steering wheel from the swaying action in the rear of the motorhome. As we go back and forth now, you can see that our suspension has stiffened up a lot, and our vehicle's not swaying anywhere as near as much as it did before. It's going to give you a better feeling going down the highway. We'll begin by loosening up the four bolts that hold our four u-bolt nuts, and we're going to slide a plate up on there, and we're going to put our nuts back in place. We'll go ahead, and we're going to loosen these all up. These are going to be rather tight, so you're going to want to use a nice long breaker bar to get them loose. more
