Hey everybody, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and we're going to be taking a quick look at the Erickson tie-down kit for your wheeled vehicle, so if you're using an ATV, UTV, lawn mower, golf cart, or anything else, this is gonna be a nice kit to make sure that vehicle is secure, and safe inside your trailer. I like this because it's gonna give you really high visibility on these chocks, so you're driving up, you can see where they are, and kinda aim for 'em, and also it's just gonna give you a really nice snug fit around that tire. So, as you're coming up, you'll have your two chocks for the front or back wheels, and it's going to hold really securely around that wheel to give you a nice, snug fit. And then one of our straps is gonna come up and go around that wheel to make sure that there's no movement within that. So you should really be able to cinch that down, make sure that your tires aren't going anywhere, therefore your vehicle's not going anywhere. Let's take a closer look and I'll talk a little bit more about the specs with this to make sure that it's the right fit for you. more

They do use these nice cam lock buckles here that'll hold the straps tight over your gear. Now, these are the 10 foot, one inch wide variety, they offer a 500 pound safe working load limit and a 1500 pound break strength. These are available either by the piece or we have them available in a two pack and, basically, what they've done is they've taken a cam buckle strap and enhanced some features on it, we'll talk about that in a minute, but they've added a shock right here. Today we'll be taking a quick look at the SmartStraps cam buckle tie-down straps with S-hooks.These are going to make it easy to strap down any kind gear or cargo that you might have in your truck bed or your trailer, maybe on your cargo carrier on the back of your SUV, or really anywhere that you need to tie-down some stuff.These have a rubber coated S-hook, so it's going to keep that S-hook protected from the elements, making it a little more durable for all weather use, and also it's going to help to prevent any kind of scratches to your cargo carrier, or to your vehicle or any other tie-down point that you use this on.The strap itself is made of a smart web webbing, so it's going to be a little stronger and more abrasion resistant than your standard webbing. It's pretty sturdy and secure, it measures about 6' long by 1" wide. Has just a standard cam buckle release. It is spring loaded, so that makes it a little bit easier to use and holds pretty secure on that strap.You can use this to tie-down your ATV, UTV or boat. For trailering, you just want to make sure that you note the weight capacity with these. For each of our straps, they have a safe working load limit, or WLL, of 400 pounds. more

Today we're going to be looking at SmartStraps ratcheting straps. They come as a quantity of four and you can get them as either 10 foot or 14 foot lengths and either 500 pound safe working load limit or a 1,000 pound safe working load limit.We're using a set of the 10 foot, 500 pound straps to hold our generator in place on our cargo carrier today. You can see that our straps are green here. The green indicates that it is a 500 pound working load limit. If it was orange in color it would be the 1,000 pound working load limit.The multiple colored straps is nice if you have many straps. You can easily identify which one is what working load limit so you can pick the appropriate strap for the appropriate application.The safe working load limit is the recommended limit for hauling items down the road safely because your vehicle has a lot of oscillations, you hit potholes, things are moving around. more

Today we're going to take a look at the cam buckle straps from Rhino-Rack. Now these straps are going to be very tough and durable. They're going to help you secure your cargo while you're traveling down the road. Now we have them in use on our Pioneer rack with our eye-bolts from Rhino-Rack, but you can also use these for any other method you have of carrying your cargo. They're going to do a great job of making sure they stay put.The thick S-hooks are going to have a rubber coating all the way around, so when you hook it on, it's going to provide it with grip, and it's also not going to harm or scratch the finish of any of your cargo, if it's rubbing up against it.Now when loading your equipment, you do want to keep in mind that the safe working load limit for our straps is going to be 330 pounds. So as long as your cargo has a combined weight of under 330 pounds, you're going to be good to go.The straps are going to have durable polyester webbing construction, which is going to hold up great to all of the elements. more

So these are gonna be light duty straps that are gonna be really ideal for use in trailers, trucks, or really anywhere else where you need to secure some items away.Something I really like is the very unique design of them. You can see we've got a full molded aluminum handle here, and a nice red color to it, so unlike a lot of the straps that we see out there in the market, these actually look pretty nice.You see that gives us a nice wide contact area for our hand to get in there and then the little holes should give us some grip. So this is very easy to use when tensioning it down. more

These etrailer cam buckle straps are going to be a perfect addition to your truck, trailer or cargo carrier. You can get them in a quantity of 1, 2 or 4, to customize the needs for your haul. The 13 foot strap is going to be great for even your bulky items, such as our generator here. We we're able to go all the way across our cargo carrier and back, ensuring it's nice and secure.The safe working load limit is 293 pounds, while the maximum load or break strength is 880 pounds and that's per strap. For a look at them in action, we took it out on our test course. On our test course, we'll take it over some bumps, so you can see how it'll handle on rough and uneven surfaces and then into our slalom, so you can see how it handles under evasive maneuvers.A couple of cool things you're going to like, is our personal etrailer touches with our neoprene cover to help prevent any scratches or abrasions from the cam buckle, as well as the integrated elastic strap to tie up that excess. more

What those buckles do is they allow you to pull the strap through to tighten. You can take the slack out, but they don't allow it to loosen or back feed, and that's because of the Cam buckle design that has these little teeth that grab onto the strap without damaging it, and prevent the strap from back feeding or loosening. So, to release tension, all you got to do is press on the lever right here, and then that will allow you to release the tension of the strap.It's a nice easy-to-use design. more

Today we're going to be taking at the Malone Cam Buckle Load Straps. These straps would be great for securing a kayak, canoe, or other gear to the roof or roof rack of your vehicle. The straps are UV and water resistant polyester material. They're going to feature crossbox stitching. They're very strong and durable. They're actually going to feature a pull strength of 1200 pounds. Each strap is going to have a cam style buckle. These are made from a corrosion resistant galvanized steel with a no-slip center spring to maintain tension and they're going to have a rubber buckle protector with a neoprene sleeve that's going to ensure maximum protection for your vehicle and for your gear. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Bulldog Winch Cam Buckle Straps with Steel Hooks. These are 60" long and come as a four pack. Part number is BDW20303. These straps are going to offer a 730-pound working load limit, and a 2,200-pound break strength. These straps will be the perfect solution for securing our Bulldog Winch Cargo Nets and many other applications as well. Now the straps are also going to be a 2" wide material, polyester. As you can see they're printed on one side, not on the other, that really helps us when we start running it through our buckle to keep everything nice and straight. more

Rhino-Rack Cam Buckle Cinch Straps Review RRRTD25L- Video
Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Rhino-Rack locking cam buckle cinch straps, part number RRRTD55L. These also come in eight and 3/16" long as part number RRRTD25L, as well as 11-1/2" long as part number RRRTD35L and finally in 14-13/16" long as part number RRRTD45L. The Rhino-Rack locking cinch straps are great for securing your cargo, whether it be on your cargo basket, your kayak carrier, or even your ladder rack. Each strap does have this nice rubber padding here to ensure that whatever it is you're hauling doesn't get scratched up. Also, since it does lock, your gear is going to be secure while you drive and it comes with two keys. Each strap has polyurethane coated steel wires on the inside, which is going to make the straps resistant to cutting. The straps have a load limit of 496 pounds and they also come with hook and loop straps to hold your straps in place while you're traveling, or whenever you're finished, to cinch them up and put them away for storage. Snap-Loc Cam Buckle Cinch Strap Review- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at the Snap-Loc cam lock-style cinch strip. This is 2" wide, 8' long. The part number on it is SLLS28CR. Now this strap is going to offer us a 1,000 pound working load limit and a 3,000 pound break strength. Something that really stands out about it, as you can see here we've got the strap keeper. This keeps our strap nice and tidy when it's not in use so we don't have to worry about it coming all unraveled, getting dirty or knotted up. Now when it's time to use it it's as simple as open up the keeper and just let our strap unravel. more

Thule Load Straps Review- Video
Today we'll be taking a quick look at the Thule load straps in a 2-pack, part number TH523. These load straps have a wide variety of uses from securing your kayak here on the roof of your car, or also securing a load in a cargo basket. It's made of a heavy-duty polypropylene material which is strong, durable and corrosion resistant. It's 1 inch wide by by 15 feet long and it is good for double-wrapping your cargo. The way that these straps are designed is it is a cam buckle design and you can see that there are not hooks on both ends of the strap, which means you have to take the strap back around your load and hook it back into the buckle, which basically cuts the usable length of the strap in half, so about 7 1/2'. Also included are these rubber bumpers. These rubber bumpers are going to go over the silver cam buckle. You can see here, we already have our kayak all loaded up. more

Snap-Loc S-Hook Tie Down Strap Review- Video
Today well be taking a look at the Snap-Loc S-Hook Tie-Down Strap with Cam Buckle part number SLLS18 CSR. Now our cinch strap comes one inch by eight foot long and has two rubber-coated hooks, one on either end. Theres also a hook-and-loop strap that helps secure any excess strap once you have it pulled nice and tight or for storage. Now we can go ahead and go over how the Cam Buckle portion works. To tighten down the strap, you simply pull on this end. The Cam Buckle here grabs the webbing and doesnt allow it to pulled back through. more
