Hopkins Endurance Fifth Wheel Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Ford F-250- Video
Today, on our 2012 Ford F 250, we'll be installing the Hopkins Endurance 5th Wheel Gooseneck 90 Degree Wiring Harness with 7 Pole Plug, Part Number 41157. To begin our install, we'll first locate in the pickup bed where we will be mounting our new 7 pole connector. Here on the driver side between the wheel well and the rear tail light, would be a perfect location. We'll go ahead and use a pilot bit to drill out the hole. We'll go ahead and use our hole saw to drill out the larger hole so that it will fit the socket and connector. Now, with the large hole drilled out, move underneath the vehicle. We'll need to remove the manufacturer's 7 pole plug to gain access to the connector wiring. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2004 Ford Mustang- Video
Today, on our 2004 Ford Mustang, we'll be installing the tow ready T1 connector trailer wiring, part number 118326. To begin with, we'll need to raise the trunk lid on the vehicle. Then we'll need to remove 2 plastic nuts, one on each side, just behind where the tail lights are. With this plastic nut removed, we can go ahead and pull back the inner trunk liner, exposing the wiring that we'll be connecting with. Now, on the driver's side, we'll be connecting with the side that has the yellow wire in the bundle. We'll go ahead and disconnect the wiring here, and put our T-connection in place. Make sure when you pull apart the clips that you do not pull too hard, because they can break very easily. Now, on this side, we'll need to go ahead and connect our ground wire. To do this, we use a self tapping screw, and we'll find an area of sheet metal that's been doubled up. We want to make sure that there's nothing behind the sheet metal that could be damaged. Then, the green wire with the other 2 connectors will be routed all the way over to the passenger side. We can work the wires underneath the rear trunk lining piece, just right here by the threshold area. Then we'll access the wiring connection over here. We'll repeat the same process as we did on the driver's side, except on this side there will not be a ground wire that we will install. Now, with the connections made, we'll go ahead and put the interior trim back in. more

Hopkins Endurance Fifth Wheel Wiring Harness Installation - 2013 Ford F-250- Video
Today on our 2013 Ford Super Duty, we'll be installing the Hopkins Endurance Fifth Wheel Gooseneck wiring harness, part number 41157. To begin our install, we'll first go ahead, get into the pickup bed and locate where we want to mount the new 7-pole. Then, using a pilot bit, we'll go ahead and make a hole, then use our hole saw to drill out the hole for our connector. Now, with the hole drilled out in our bed side, we'll take the wiring harness and feed it from underneath and through the predrilled hole. Included with the install kit will be some dielectric grease. I do recommend to put this on each one of the terminal connections to help prevent corrosion over time. Then we'll take the 7-pole connector and our wiring harness and plug the two together. Now, with our connection made, we'll go ahead and mount the stem pole connector to our bed side using the self tacking screws provided with the install kit. With that completed, we'll move underneath the vehicle and go ahead and take the wiring harness, route it over the frame and down behind the bumper. We'll go ahead and leave the wiring harness there and move to the manufacturer's 7-pole connection underneath the bumper. First we'll need to remove the connector that secures the wiring harness to the top of the hitch. more

Hopkins Endurance Fifth Wheel Wiring Harness Installation - 2007 Ford F-250- Video
Today on this 2007 Ford F250 Super Duty, we're going to install part number 41157. This is the Hopkins Endurance stiff-wheel, goose-neck, 90-degree wiring harness with seven-pole plug. The first thing we need to do is go ahead and find a location for our plug. In this case we chose this location right here. Now this is just a personal preference, but usually the lower on the bed is better because you have a further distance between this inside edge of the bed and the outside wall of the bed. Once we find a location we'll go ahead and drill a quarter-inch pilot hole. Then we're going to follow up with two-and-an-eighth-inch hole saw. Now we'll go ahead and work with our wire harness. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2014 Ford Flex 118472- Video
Today on our 2014 Ford Flex, we'll be installing the tow-ready T1 vehicle wiring harness with a four-pole flat trailer connector, part number 118472. In conjunction with our tow-ready wiring, we're going to be installing a short bracket, part number 18140, as well as the four flat connector bracket, part number 18144. To begin our installation we'll need to raise the rear hatch of the vehicle. In order to remove the tail light assembly, we'll need to take out this bolt here and this bolt here. Once we have the two bolts removed we'll need to gently pull towards the rear of the vehicle on the tail light assembly as there's a couple more tabs that we'll need to release that are behind the light assembly. Next we're going to disconnect the wiring from the back side of the light assembly. We'll push in right here on this little locking tab and gently pull outward. We'll go ahead and repeat the same process over here on the passenger side. more

Towready Taillight Converter Wiring Harness Installation - 1999 Ford Van- Video
Today on our 1999 Ford E450 van, we'll be installing the tow-ready, upgraded, circuit protected tail light converter, with 4-pull end, part number 119178. We're going to first need to take our test light here, and find out which wire does which function. Go ahead and ground our test light. Then we'll have someone turn on the running lights. We'll be tying them with this brown wire right here, with the white stripe on it. Go ahead and set up for our left or driver side blinker. more

Today on our 2004 Ford F350, we're going to be installing the Hopkins Endurance Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck 90 degree wiring harness, with seven pole plug, part number 41157. We're going to begin here at the back of the vehicle at our factory seven way plug. We'll need to unplug the factory connection on the back side of the plug. To do this, we'll need to remove this little gray locking tab here, we'll simply push in on the center section and then slide it back out. Here's what the little locking tab looks like. We'll then go ahead and push in on this tab right here, pull outward on the plug. more

Today, on this 2006 Ford Taurus, we're going to install part number 18252 from Draw-Tite. Now, to saw our wire harness, we have to have access to the wiring. To do that, we're going to go ahead and start off on the passenger side. We will then loosen up the passenger trunk to get access to a wiring on that side. Okay. Now, some vehicles have another plastic rivet up in the liner in this area to make it easier to pull down, but we don't have to worry about it on this one. Today on this 2014 Ford Escape were going to install part number C56164 from Curt. This is a Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness. To start our install we need to go ahead and open the back hatch and get access to the taillights, were going to temporarily remove them. Once we get to the taillights there will be two little covers that were going to pop off thats on top of the screws. Then well go ahead and remove the screws. Today on our 2012 Ford Escape we'll be installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4 Pole Trailer Connector, Part Number C56160. Now we'll begin here by raising the rear hatch of the vehicle. This will give us access to the two screws on each side that hold the tail light assembly in place. We will go ahead and start here on the driver's side by removing the two Phillips-head screws. With the two screws removed we will go ahead and gently pull out on the tail light assembly, there are two additional clips on the underside of the light assembly that will come out as you gently pull outward on the light assembly. There are two plugs that we'll need to remove in order to set our light assembly aside. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2013 Ford Explorer c56093- Video
All right, today in this 2013 Ford Explorer, were going to install part number C56093 from Curt. First thing we need to do is open up the back hatch and get access to our wiring. To do that, were going to have to remove the threshold in the back. Well start off by prying the threshold up closest to the door to loosen up the fasteners there. We use a trim pan tool to help get everything loosened up and started then we can go ahead and remove it from the car. Then, therell be two fasteners, one on each side of the threshold that we have to work loose as well. There's a small cover, right where our seatbelt goes in towards the floor, but go ahead and remove it, but pop out the bottom edge first, and push down the edge closest to the side. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2011 Ford Edge c56120- Video
Today on our 2011 Ford Edge, we'll be installing the Curt T-Connector wiring harness with 4-Pole connector, part number C56120. To begin install, we'll first start by opening up the rear cargo door. Then we can remove the spare tire cover. We'll set it aside for re-install later. Next, we'll need to remove the rear threshold. To remove the rear threshold, we'll simply get underneath the threshold and gently pry up and release the fasteners underneath. Once you release the fasteners underneath, we'll go ahead and set the threshold aside. Next, we'll remove the two cargo trays, one on each side of the spare tire. With the cargo trays out of the way, we're going to move behind the taillight assemblies. We'll need to remove the taillight assemblies, and to do this, we'll remove the two fasteners that secure each one, and then gently pop the taillight assembly out of its position, being careful not to break the alignment tabs underneath. more

Today on our 2004 Ford Super Duty well be installing the Hopkins Custom Fit Wiring Harness Part Number 40167. Well be installing this wiring harness and 7-pole connector to replace the manufacturers thats missing. For this application, well also need to create a mounting bracket to attach the 7-pole to. To do this, well use the Draw- Tight mounting bracket for 7-way connectors Part Number 18138 and the Draw-Tite long bracket Part Number 18136. To begin, well first go ahead and take our wiring harness and use the dielectric grease provided with the install kit and put over the end of each of the connection points. Well have a total of 2 on the wiring harness and 1 on the vehicle. more

Alright, today on a 2008 FordF250, we're going to install part number PK11893-11932. First thing we need to do is go ahead and get our wire harness ready for installation. On the end of the wire, with terminals already crimped in place, we need to put them into a connector that will eventually go into the back of the 7 pole connector. In the back of the connector, there are numbers that tell you which wires go where. Number one gets a red wire. You simply push it into place until it clicks. more

Fifth Wheel Wiring Harness Installation - 2013 Ford F-350- Video
Today on our 2013 Ford F350, we'll be installing the Bargman Fifth Wheel Gooseneck 90 degree Wiring Harness with 7 pull plug, part number 54701-003. To begin our install, we'll first locate a suitable mounting point.Then we'll go ahead and make a pilot hole. The pilot hole is for our larger hole saw bit, which we'll then go ahead and cut out, so that we can feed our wires down and underneath the vehicle. Now with the cut out from our hole saw made, we'll go ahead and take the key connector and feed it through the hole in the bed, and ultimately, down and underneath the vehicle. Next we'll take the new 7 pull plug, and secure it here to the side of the bed, using theself tapping screws provided with our install kit.Our next step will be removing the older manufacturer's wiring from the manufacturers 7 pull plug, mounted below the bumper at the hitch. To gain access to it, we'll first go ahead and remove the push pin connector that secures the wiring to the top of the hitch. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2006 Ford F-350 HM40975- Video
Today on our 2006 Ford F350, we'll be installing the Hopkins 7 and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket with Mounting Bracket for the Vehicle End, part number Hm40975. We'll also be using the Universal Mounting Bracket, part number 18140 to mount our 7 and 4-Pole Trailer Connector to the vehicle. Now we're going to go ahead and choose a location that we'll be mounting our new plug. We'll be tying in with the factory 7-way connection. We're going to go ahead and mark and we're going to have to drill two holes to mount our new bracket. Once we have our two holes marked, we'll go ahead and drill them on the bracket. You will need a supply, a bolt and a nut, to connect the bracket to the bumper structure. more

Today on our 2012 Ford F350 we'll be installing the Bargman Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck ninety-degree wiring harness with 7-pole plug nine foot long, part number 50-97-410. To begin with we will locate a position in the bed that we will mount the wiring plug. In this case we went ahead and chose an area on the side of the bed on the drivers side just in front of the wheel well, and went ahead and made sure that there was pretty of clearance behind the inner bed wall. We went ahead and used a 3/4 inch bit and put a pilot hole. Next we'll go ahead and use a two-inch hole saw to drill our hole. Now we'll go ahead and feed the wires from the wiring harness through the hole pushing all the wiring through so that the plug will sit flush against the side of the bed. more

Today on our 1999 Ford Ranger, we'll install the custom fit vehicle wiring harness 4-pole connector, part number 118241. To begin our install, we'll first need to locate the manufacturer's tow port. For this application, it's behind the bumper here on the driver's side. To gain access to it, we'll just take a trim panel tool or flat blade screwdriver and pry the connector free from the secured point behind the bumper. Then once we have access to the connector, we'll need to remove the weather cap. To do that, we'll press in the locking tab and pull it out from the connector. more

Today on our 2002 Ford Escape well be installing the Tow Ready T1 Connector, part number 118343. To begin our install, well first go ahead and open up the rear cargo door. This will allow us to see the fasteners to remove the rear taillight housing on both sides. Starting here on the drivers side well go ahead and remove the two fasteners and then pop the taillight out of position. Note: To pop the taillight out of position were going to be using a small plastic pry bar, but you can also use a flat bladed screwdriver just be careful not to chip the paint. Now, once youve popped the taillight out, be careful not to break the alignment tabs underneath. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2008 Ford Focus- Video
Today on our 2008 Ford Focus, well be installing the Tow Ready Custom Fit vehicle wiring harness, part number 118457.Now to begin our installation, we'll open the trunk. With the trunk open, we'll need to temporarily disconnect the drivers side tail lamp. To do this, we'll undo the two plastic screws here on the drivers side holding in the plastic trim just behind the taillight.Then using some gentle force, we'll pry the trim away where we can move it off to the side. We'll then take a 10 mm socket and remove the two nuts off the taillight studs here.With that done, we'll use a pry tool to pry back on our taillight and remove it from the vehicle. Now this exposes our connector here that we'll T into. Now with our drivers side taillight out, we'll go ahead and repeat the same procedure and remove the passenger side taillight.Now that we have both taillights out, we'll take our new wiring harness and we'll route our four pole and the connector with the green wire to it down underneath the vehicle through the hole here between the body and the bumper cover. more

All right, today on this 2008 Ford F-250, we're going to install part number HM40975-11998. This is Pollak's 7-pole and 4-pole Trailer Connector Sockets with the Mounting Bracket and Wiring. Now, this wiring harness is designed to be spliced into the vehicle harness. Now, our truck already has a wiring harness already installed on it. However, the connector has been exposed to the elements way too long and has corroded up. We'll go ahead and take the wiring harness pulled away from the frame, making it a little bit easier to work on. more

Today on this 2011 Ford Escape were going to install part number C56160 from Curt. First thing we want to do is open up the hatch and remove the two tail light assemblies. To remove the tail light assembly from the wiring harness there will be a small tab that we push and then we can pull the connectors apart. Now I have the drivers side tail light removed well repeat the same process over on the passengers side. Well go ahead and take the four pole wire and run that between the bumper cover and the body and out below it. Well also do the same thing with the T connector with the green wire. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2003 Ford Focus- Video
Today on our 2003 Ford Focus Wagon well be installing Draw-Tite wiring harness part #: 18252. Now to begin well simply open the rear cargo door and remove the two taillight assemblies. To do this well unscrew the two Phillips head screws and push the taillight assembly out towards the side. We can then unplug the lights and set them off to the side to keep from damaging them. Well use a piece of airline as a fish tape where well fish it down through the taillight hole behind the bumper and down through the bottom. With that done well go ahead and take our four pole harness and well peel the green wire off of the harness so that it can be routed over to the right taillight. more

Today on our 2012 Ford Focus well be installing Tow Ready T1 connector, part number 118549. Now well begin by opening the tailgate and remove the vehicles taillight housing assemblies. To do this here on the drivers side well remove the black plastic cover and pull back the insulation liner to access the plastic wing nut holding the taillight in place. Theres another wing nut in here that well also need to undo. With both wing nuts undone we can remove the drivers side taillight. Well repeat this process to remove the passenger side assembly. more

Today on our 1999 Ford F250, we will install the tow ready custom fit wiring harness, part number 118243. Before we can install the new pole and harness, we will need to remove the old and the manufacture. Theres a bolt here securing the bracket, we will remove first and then we will cut the zip tie and remove the wire connector, pressing on the locking tab and remove it from the manufactures wiring. Now we are ready to go ahead and install the new bracket hardware. Before we begin installing the wiring harness, we will need to install the bracket, one to attach to the hitch, and another to attach to the seven pole. The seven pole mounting bracket by Pollak, part number PK12711U will attach to the Draw-Tite no drill mounting bracket, part number 18136. more

Today on our 2001 Ford Focus well be installing the Draw Tite four pole wiring kit, part number 18252. Before we can install the wire well need to go ahead and remove some of the interior trim panels. On the drivers side well remove the upper and side trim panels so that we can pull back the carpeting to gain access to the manufacturers wiring. There are multiple fasteners that will need to be removed in order to complete this task. Now with the panels removed you can see we have access here to the manufacturers wiring that runs to the tail lights. The blue connector here is where the main signal comes in for the tail light circuit. more

Today on our 2011 Ford Fusion, well be installing the Tow-Ready T1 connector part number 118422. First were going to open up the rear cargo door then were going to remove the spare tire cover. This will allow us access to all the fasteners that will need to be removed to remove the rear threshold. Lets go ahead and remove those fasteners now. Now with all our fasteners removed, well gently pull up on the rear threshold and pop it free as there are four remaining fasteners attached to the body. Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Ford Explorer 118540- Video
Today on our 2012 Ford Explorer, we'll be installing the Tow Ready T1 Connector, part number 118540. First, we'll go ahead and identify the connector. It's on the passenger's side next to the muffler. Then we can go ahead and press on the locking tab of the connector and separate the two connection points. Now, if we take our Tow Ready T1 connector, you'll notice that the connectors match identically to the manufacturers and we can plug in line with the manufacturer's wiring. With that completed, we'll now run the 4-pole over to the center of the vehicle and down to the hitch. more

Today, on this 2012 Ford Edge, were going to install part #118515 from Tow Ready. First thing were going to do is open up the back hatch and get access down to the spare tire. Well remove the cargo nets and the cargo floor hatch. While were down by the spare tire, well also remove the threshold and the two wells beside the spare tire. It gives a little extra working room. Then well go ahead and remove both taillight assemblies by removing the bolts on each side of the lights. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Ford Fusion- Video
Today on this 2012 Ford Fusion, were going to install part number 118422 from Tow-Ready. First thing we need to do, is go ahead and open the trunk and get access to the wiring on the inside. Were going to undo the threshold and uninstall the interior panels. Were going to remove the threshold here by popping up the plastic rivets. One, two, three, four of them. Theres two more rivets underneath the floor mat that wed have to remove. more

Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Ford F-350- Video
Today on our 2012 Ford F-350, well be installing the Pollak 5th Wheel Gooseneck T-Connector 7-Pole, part number PK11893-11932. Now to begin our installation, at the factory 7-pole, well need to unplug the connector. Well push the gray lock tab back and remove it from the factory 7-pole. Well take the T-connector from the Pollak Gooseneck Harness and plug one side into the connector and the other into the factory 7-pole. With those connections made, well route the wire up through the drivers side rear of the bed where well mount our bed 7-pole. We can then move up into the bed of the truck where well find a suitable location here on the drivers side rear of the bed, and after finding that suitable location, well use a center punch to start a hole. more

Alright, today on this 2009 Ford Flex, were going to install part number 118472 from Tow-Ready. First well do is well go ahead and open the back hatch and remove the two taillights. When we unbolt the taillights, well go ahead and disconnect the wire harness. Push on this tab right here and take it apart. Alright, so well repeat the same process on the passenger side. Now you can go ahead and start installing the wire harness. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 1990 Ford F-150- Video
Today on our 1990 Ford F150, we'll be installing the tow-ready T1 connector, part #118316. We'll be installing our new connector in line with the manufacture's wiring. First we'll locate the connector here behind the bumper connecting to the sub frame pressing the locking tab and this connected to a connection point. Then we can take our tow-ready connector and you'll see that the connection point match identically to the manufactures and we'll plug in line with the manufacture's connection. Press them firmly together to make sure they lock in place. And now we're ready to go ahead and start rounding our wire. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2011 Ford Flex- Video
Today we're gonna be installing Wiring Harness Number 118472 from Tow Ready on this 2011 Ford Flex. The first thing we'll do is remove the tail light assemblies on the driver's and passenger's side. There are two bolts underneath the rear hatch that you have to remove and then you pull out the driver's side assembly to the side of the vehicle and then we'll do the same on the passenger's side when this one's completed. Now with the tail lights removed and disconnected I'm gonna route the 4-way connector and the green wire with T-connectors on the end down between the vehicle body and the bumper and pull it out underneath. Once we have the wires routed down into the body and the bumper we'll plug the mating connectors on the T-connector in with the connectors on the tail light. First we'll start with the one going to the vehicle. more

Today on this 2011 Ford Escape were going to install part #: 56067 from Curt. First thing we need to do is open up the back hatch and remove the two taillight assemblies. And to remove the harness were going to push down this tab right here, helps a little bit to push in first and then push the button, it comes right apart. Do the same thing for the lower socket here. Okay, thats it for the driver side, well do one more time on the passenger side. Well take our 4 pole wire harness, well drop it down behind the bumper and out the bottom. more

Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Ford F-250- Video
Today on our 2012 Ford F250 were going to install the Pollak 7 way connector in the pickup bed, part #: pk11893-11932. To start our install, we need to go ahead and cut the hole in the pickup bed. In this application were going to mount it just behind the driver side wheel well. The flat spot here to mount on our 7 way right in the side of the bed. Well go ahead and take our hole saw a bit and make our hole. Now well go ahead and take the 10 pole end of our wire and feed it up from underneath the pickup bed through our hole. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2007 Ford Five Hundred- Video
Today on our 2007 Ford Five Hundred, were going to install the Two Ready T-One Connector, product number 118395. We'll go ahead and open the trunk door as we'll need to remove the trim panels behind the tail lights on both sides. Before we can remove the trim panels behind the lights, we'll need to remove the rear threshold. There are multiple fasteners that will need to be removed in order to remove the threshold. Here on the passenger's side, well remove the plastic wind nut and then repeat the same on the drivers side. Now, we have multiple plastic push pin fasteners that will need to be removed. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2010 Ford Flex- Video
Today on 2010 Ford Flex were going to start part # 118472 from Tow-Ready. First thing we need to do is go ahead and open up the back hatch to get access to tail lights. We need to remove our tail lights, remove the screw here and the screw here we'll lose on both sides. We need to disconnect our wiring harness from the tail light and push that on its tab right here, let's do the same thing on the passenger's side. Now I'll take our T-One harness over and drop the 4-Pole end down the bottom and we'll pull up from behind the bumper we'll do the same thing for this T-One Connector with the green wire are well. Now take your T-Connector and plug in to factory harness and your other move on to tail light were we reinstall it and then we'll take our white wire with the ring terminal and ground that to the body. more
