Today on our 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 we're going to be doing a test fit on the Thule Gate Mate. This is going to be your Tailgate Pad for your bicycles, it'll be Part Number TH823. This is the 54 inch edition, there is also a 62, but we're going to be doing the 54 because this truck does have the Ram boxes. The built in toolboxes in the tailgate so this will be for more of the compact bed sizes. Also if you have a bigger one, you'll want the larger of the 2. Today on our 2008 Toyota Tundra Crew Max Cab, we'll be test fitting the Swagman Pick Up Truck Bed Mounted Bike Rack, that's part number S64702. We can go ahead and begin by setting it on our truck bed, we'll go ahead and hop up there and what I want to do is pull this end out and what I want to do is I want to make it match and sit on top of our bed here. First we'll line it up with our anchor holds that are fixed into our bed already to make sure it is parallel and even and once I've got it all the way stretched out to sit on either side, I'm just going to push down and that's going to lock it and then for additional lock, we'll push that in place that way it will not come undone. Even if I push in on the button it won't come all the way up. The next thing I want to do is make sure that my skewer is opened up and make sure there is enough room for my fork to slide through and sit in there. We'll just go ahead and loosen up a little bit more just to make sure. All right then I'm going to grab my bike and make sure the front wheel is off your bike that way you can set your fork in there. more

Today on our 2015 Ram 1500, we're going to go ahead and do a test fit of the Swagman Pick-Up Truck-Bed-Mounted 2-Bike Rack. This would be Part Number S64702. First thing we're going to do is you're going to locate the locking mechanism. We'll go ahead and take our key, insert it with the tip down, and go ahead and turn that one full turn, and pull it out. That will allow the knob to be out here to where we can push the nipple in, and pull that part down. With that part down, we will go ahead and place the edge of this on the line on our bed. more

Today on our 2011 Dodge Dakota Crew Cab we will be testing the Thule Gate Mate Tailgate Pad and Bike Rack for Compact Trucks. That's 54" wide. The part number is TH823. Topline Truck Bed Mounted Expandable Bike Rack Review- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at the Topline Truck Bed Mountain Bike Racks. Available as a single or all the way up to a four-bike capacity rack. The part number we're using today is UG2500. This is the two-bike version. At the end of our main arm, at our first bike, we have a fully-articulating hand, that allows us to connect into the seat post or also onto the top frame tube of our bike. It's rubber padded on the inside, it's going to give us the protection that we need for our bikes, we're not going to get any kind of scuffs or scratches. Each of our arms are going to be a full aluminum arm, it's going to keep it nice and lightweight, but also stay very corrosion resistant, that way it's going to look good for a long time. The rack is designed to clamp right onto the bed rail of our pickup truck. more

Thule Truck Bed Bike Racks Review - 2013 Nissan Frontier- Video
Today on our 2013 Nissan Frontier, we'll be test fitting the Thule Gate Mate Tailgate Pad and Bike Rack for compact trucks, part number TH823. To begin our test fit, we'll go ahead and place the Thule Gate Mate directly onto our tailgate. When placing the Gate Mate onto out tailgate, we want to make sure that the Thule logo is at the bottom passenger side corner. We'll undo the flap so we can access our tailgate handle. We'll lower our tailgate just a little bit and bring the straps at the bottom of the Gate Mate around the underside of our tailgate towards the inside. With the straps fed through, we'll feed them through the buckles and cinch them down evenly. Before we tighten it all the way down, we want to make sure that the pad is centered evenly on the tailgate. Now we can make our way around and tighten down each strap. more

Today we'll reviewing part number DRT9P. This is the Kuat Dirtbag Phat 9 Fat Bikerack. The fork mount bikerack is going to provide simple transportation option for carrying one fat bike. It's going to work only with fat bikes that have a 9 mm quick release front wheel skewer. The front forks of the bike are going to sit on the little outposts here, and then you're actually going to use your skewer system to go through the center hole, just like you would when putting your tire back on the front of your bike. You're just going to re-install that skewer, tighten it up, and you're skewer is actually going to be what secures your bicycle forks to the Dirtbag. Today on our 2014 Nissan Frontier, we're going to be test fitting the 54 inch wide Thule Gate Mate, Tailgate Pad and Bike Rack, part number TH823. We'll begin our test fit by making sure that all of our straps are loosened. We'll want to rest this over the tailgate. Once we have it centered on our tailgate, we can open the flap here, that's going to give us access to the tailgate handle. We'll lower this down. We'll grab our straps and we'll want to fasten them around so any which way you can, I go right through here so that I can reach on the backside of the tailgate to grab the ones closest to the bed or closest to the edge of the tailgate, excuse me. We'll then fasten them through the straps. We're going to pull this tight, making sure we're taking any slack out. more

Today we'll be reviewing part number TH821. This is the Thule Fork Mount Bike Carrier Block. The Thule Low Rider is a very versatile fork block that's going to let you create your own bike carrying and storage options. This can be mounted on virtually any surface with a nice solid flat surface. Hardware is not included so you will need to get that separately. You can see down here that you have numerous mounting options. The only holes that you'll need to use for mounting are the four holes here on the corner. If we measure the distance from the center of one to the center of the other going across, it's going to measure three inches. more

Thule Truck Bed Bike Racks - Fork Mount - TH821XT Review- Video
Today we'll be reviewing part number TH21XT, this is a Thule low rider bike block with locking skewer for fork mount bikes. This versatile block installs on almost any flat surface to provide a fork mount for 1 bicycle. It also replaces non-locking fork block on the Thule bed rider, part number Th822, keep in mind that hardware is not included. It has a 9 millimeter quick release skewer that's going to secure the bike to the block with the Thule 1 key system lock. So you can see here that it comes with a lock core and 2 keys. The other key is designed to install and remove the lock core from the lock, so you just place the main key in there, or the one that's not like the other 2, and that's going to go right into the slot here, so once you place that in there, give it a little bit of a turn, remove the key, and then you'll have full function of that lock feature using the 2 keys that are included. This can also be keyed alike with other Thule products, just simply switch out the locking cylinders with those that are keyed alike. more

Today on our 2014 Ram 1500, we're going to be test fitting the Swagman Pickup, this is a bed mounted two bike rack. It's designed with the fork clamp style bike holders. It's part number is S64702. To begin the test fit, we first need to roughly size our bike rack. To do this, we're going to pull out on the side here on the passenger side. It's a ratcheting style system, so as you pull it out, the small catch here is going to catch in and hold that position in for us. Slide it out far enough to where it makes contact with the bed rail, then we'll find a fixed point to use on both sides to be sure we have both of the bed rail holders in line with one another. more

Today on our 2014 Ram 2500, well be test fitting the Thule Gate Mate tailgate pad and bike rack for full size trucks, part number TH824. Well begin our test fit by first draping the gate mate over the truck bed tailgate. Youre going to make sure that the opening with the envelope shaped flap is facing the outside. This flap will give you access to the tailgate handle. Once thats down, we can then take one of the straps and lower the tailgate down to about a 45 degree angle. Well thread the strap up through the bottom of the tailgate and the base of the truck bed. Well then reach around to the inside of the truck bed and pull the strap up. more

Today on our 2014 Ram 2500, we'll be test fitting the Swagman Pickup Truck Bed Mounted Two Bike Rack, part number S64702. We'll begin our test fit by placing one end of the bike rack onto the drivers side bed rail, just to give us an idea of how wide we need to make the bike rack. Now the other end of the bike rack doesn't reach the passenger side bed rail, so we'll need to push in the silver button and telescope the bike rack outward. You'll need it make it a little bit wider than the width of the bed. With the one end of the bike rack on the drivers side, we'll take the other end at the passenger side and insert the other end at an angle on the passenger side bed rail. We'll then push the pad up onto the bed rail making sure the bike rack is perpendicular to the bed rails of our pickup. Now that's nice and snug, we're ready to load up our bike. We'll need to double check to make our skewer is loose and the forks of our bike can slide down onto it. more

Today on our 2002 Toyota Tundra well be test fitting the Yakima Biker Bar Truck Bed Mounted 2 Bike Carrier part number Y01141. Well begin our test fit by placing the bar onto the vehicles bed rails. Well then adjust the towers to fit the spread of the truck bed. Once both towers are set on the bed rail we can then use the included Allen wrench to turn the bolt to secure the tower in place. Next, well take the quick lock levers and insert them into the tower and place on the black bracket on the silver bolt to screw it up on the underside of the bed rail and then we can clamp down the quick action lever. Well then repeat the same process for the other side. more

I have found that it is easiest to get inside of the truck bed, open the tailgate from the outside and hold the tailgate with one arm while pulling the straps through the slit between the tailgate and the pickup truck bed. Once all three straps are pulled up, we can then close the tailgate and insert the straps through the black plastic buckles on the back side of the pad. We then can tighten them all down. more

Today on our 2008 Ford F150 well be test fitting the Swagman pickup truck bed mounted 2-bike carrier, part number s64702. Well begin our test fit by placing one end of the carrier on one side of the vehicles truck bed. We can then push in the silver lever to allow us to extend the bar outward. Well make the width of the carrier just a little bit wider than the width of the bed rails. Now with everything all secured were ready to load up our bike. Well double check to make sure the skewer is loose, and well place our bike inside the truck bed. more

Thule Gate Mate Tailgate Pad and Bike Rack Review - 2013 Dodge Ram Pickup- Video
Today on our 2013 Dodge Ram Pickup we'll be test fitting the Thule Gate Mate Tailgate Pad and Bike Rack 62 inches wide for full size trucks, part number TH824. To begin our test fit we'll go ahead and drape the mat over our tailgate. This is where it may be helpful to have an extra set of hands. We'll bring the straps around the underside of our tailgate, feed the straps through our tightening brackets on the other side, and pull them tight. We want to make sure that the Thule logo is at the bottom of our mat on the passenger side. We can also flip open the pad here to gain access to our tailgate handle. more

Today on our 2013 Toyota Tundra, we'll be test-fitting the Thule Gate Mate tailgate padding for full-size trucks part number Th824. To be begin our test-fit, we'll go ahead and lay the pad over the tailgate of our truck. We'll open the trunk a little bit and then take the straps at the bottom and feed them through the other side. This part may be easier with a second pair of hands. Once we have the second strap through, we can go ahead and tighten them down into place. We want to make sure that our mat is centered on the tailgate and the Thule logo is on the bottom passenger side of the vehicle. more

We'll begin our test fit by placing the Gate Mate onto our vehicles tailgate. We'll then lift up the hook and loop access pad to expose the tailgate handle. We'll pull down the tailgate handle and shove the three straps on the underside of the tailgate. We'll then close the tailgate and get inside of the bed. Again, we'll open up the tailgate which will allow us to get our fingers down in between the tailgate and the truck bed to pull the straps up through. more

Today on our 2013 Ford F150 we'll be testing the Swagman Pickup Truck Bed Mounted 2 Bike Carrier, part number S64702. We'll begin our test fit by placing one end of the rack onto one side of the bed rail of our truck. We'll then use the silver lever to extend out the bike rack to fit the width of our bed rails. Now what you'll want to do is make the rack a little bit longer than the distance between each bed rail and then insert the bike rack at a diagonal and push it in position, making sure the bike rack is perpendicular to the bed rails of our F150. Now with everything secured and tightened down were ready to load up our bike. We'll double check to make sure the skewer is loosened and we'll place our bike into our truck bed. more

Today were going to go over the installation of the Thule Gate Mate Tailgate Pad and Bike Carrier, part number TH823. This is the 54-inch wide pad designed for compact and mini trucks. Well be installing it today on a 2001 Ford Ranger but the installation process would be very similar for any truck of this size. The first thing we need to do is clean the tailgate. We want to make sure that any dirt and debris is off the tailgate so that the pad doesnt rub it into the paint. With the tailgate cleaned well take our pad, open it up and lay it over the tailgate. more
