Today on our 2013 RAM 3500, we're going to take a look at installing the Demco Underbed Rail and Install Kit for the Demco Hijacker UMS Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Trailer Hitches, part number DM8551006. With your under mount system, it's going to allow you to mount the Demco Hijacker UMS Double Pivot Fifth Wheel Chariot. Now without our hitch installed, we have some rubber plugs that are going to go over the holes, help keep out dirt and debris. You want to make sure you keep this area in here lubed up where your pins will fit, just to keep corrosion out. This fifth wheel hitch is designed to carry 21,000 pounds. Today, we're going to take a look at the B&W Patriot Dual Jaw Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch. This has an eighteen-thousand pound weight capacity. It uses the three quarter inch thick dual jaws to provide a nice three-hundred and sixty degree jaw to king pin contact, because that'll give you less rattle and more security than your slide bar jaws. Today we're going to take a look at the Curt E16 5th wheel trailer hitch for the Chevy and GMC towing prep packages. Has a slide bar jaw design and a 16,000 pound weight capacity. Now this is a custom fit part, it does comes with these custom legs that are designed to fit the Chevrolet and GMC trucks that have the factory installed towing prep packaging starting in 2016. This hitch head features an auto locking slide bar jaw mechanism to provide superior security, has a rear tension bar right back there that'll work this this slide bar to help clamp around your king pin, to help minimize your rattle and your movement. The head is a dual pivoting head, has a 10 degree lateral movement for nice simple hook up. The head does use permalube pivot pushing to increase the hitch life and reduce maintenance. The other nice thing, if you see these pins and clips right here, these two pins, if you remove the clips and the two pins, that'll allow you to take out the head from the cross member and it makes it easy for one person to remove the complete hitch from the truck bed. The skid plate is an anti-rattle skid plate, provides a nice smooth quiet ride. more

The only exception is, we went ahead and took the legs and bolted them onto them onto the main assembly with the hardware that is included. Here on top, we have our lube plate that comes with the hitch, and that is just to hold it. So let's just go ahead and take the lube plate off. As we open it up, we'll notice a two jaw design, meaning both sides of this will close around our king pin. more

Reese Elite Series 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Review- Video
Today we're going to take a look at the Reese Elite series pre-assembled trailer hitch with wiring harness rated at eighteen thousand pounds. Part number RP30142. The custom under-bed rail kit is sold separately for this application. Now this particular fifth wheel hitch does have a gross towing weight of eighteen thousand pounds, but it is limited to your rail kit and your vehicle, so go ahead and check both of those. You're going to go ahead and go with the lowest weight that is recommended. The Reese Elite Series Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch is fully assembled when it comes out of the box. All you have to do it put the head on and put your pins and clips in, so it saves hours of assembly. Now this fifth-wheel hitch, hitches 00:00:41 a nice one-piece Ford steel locking jaw so when you pull your fifth wheel camper, it's going to be nice and secure here in the jaw. more

Fifth Wheel Hitch Installation - 2015 Ram 3500- Video
Today on our 2015 Ram 3500 Heavy Duty Crew Cab we're going to be installing the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch for Ram Towing Prep Package vehicles, rated for 25,000 pounds, part number BWRVK3600. There's a handle on each side that has the black rubber piece on it. As you lift up, that's what releases it so that when you set it down on, it catches and locks it in place. You'll then need to take the pin, go back through, put your clip in. You need to do that for both sides. Now the head can pivot forward and backwards. Now that we have the head attached, to release the jaws so that you can hook up your camper or trailer, you remove the pin. more

Today, on this 2004 Dodge Ram pickup 2500 Series QuadCab, we're will be installing the B&W custom under-bed 5th-wheel installation kit, part number BWGNRK1313-5W. This kit is designed to work with the B&W 5th-wheel Companion hitch, part number BWRVK3500-5W. This can also be used as a Gooseneck hitch if needed. We're going to first go ahead and lower down and set aside the spare tire. Reese R20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Review- Video
Today we'll be reviewing the Reese R20 fifth-wheel trailer hitch, rated for 20,000 pounds, part number RP30867. The Reese R20 fifth-wheel trailer hitch has a gross towing rate of 20,000 pounds, and a vertical load limit of 5,000 pounds. It also has an adjustable hitch height of 14 to 18 inches. As you can see here, it has a four-way pivoting head, which gives you ease of hooking up even on un-level ground. It also has heavy duty vibration dampeners built in to minimize rattle and noise, even on the roughest terrain. As you will notice, the head is covered with a plastic lube plate, protecting your head, as well as having built-in grease pockets that will help grease settle in, and give the hitch head maximum protection. There's a lockable handle with a cushioned grip, as well as having a visible indicator that will tell you whether or not your king pin is fully engaged in the jaw. more

Husky Fifth Wheel - Sliding Fifth Wheel - HT31313-32220-59 Review- Video
Today were going to review part number HT31313-32220-59. This is the Husky Silver Series 16KS Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch with a slide bar jaw mounted on the 16K roller, has a weight capacity of 16,000 pounds. Now for this video demonstration, I do have it mounted onto the rails for display purposes just to show you how this is being installed with the rails but the installation kit is sold separately. Now this fifth wheel hitch with a roller will mount in your truck bed so you can tow your fifth wheel trailer. The roller will move to allow for required clearance for your short bed truck to turn safely at slow speed. It will prevent the trailer from hitting the cab of your truck during those sharp slow speed turns and it also offers safe operation with the visible latching pins on the inside here. Now this hitch uses a slide bar jaw which will secure the kingpin in the hitch, has open sides which will allow the kingpin to swing without hitting the sides of the head. Then Im going to show you on the side here on the cross member itself, on the cross member, it will have four rows of two holes each and same on this side. Basically, when you go to bolt your cross member to the slider, you can pick which height you need for your application, gives you four-position vertical adjustment to let you achieve the height you need. The height can be adjusted by simply moving this crossbeam up or down on the slider base and then bolting it into position. more

Curt Fifth Wheel - Fixed Fifth Wheel - C16515-16021 Review- Video
Today we're going to review part number C16515-16021, this is the Curt E16 Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch and the hitch legs for the Ram Factory Tow Prep Package. This is a custom fit part number. It is designed to fit the Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks with either a 6' bed or and 8' bed, and uses the factory underbed hitch platform and it's starting in the year 2013. Now this hitch uses the auto locking slide bar jaw mechanism right here, which provides superior security. Has the rear tension bar right here, this will work with that slide bar to clamp around your king pin, helps minimize rattle and movement. Now on the plates on the inside here on the hitch head, there are four different rows of holes that will give you a four position height adjustment for multiple towing applications. The head itself you can see is held on by these two pins and clips. more

B and W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Installation - 2011 Ram 3500- Video
Today on this 2011 Dodge Ram pickup 3500 series crew cab we're going to install part number BWRVK3500-5W. We want to make sure we remove the gooseneck ball. At this point we can go ahead and start working with our 5th wheel companion hitch. We're going to start off our hitch partially assembled already. So we see an extra set of hands to help hold it and put it into the bed of the truck and then we'll go ahead and put it into our hitch. Initially in place, we want to make sure that our pads are in the truck of the bed itself. Tighten down the hardware to secure our pads. We're lucky our bolts actually got a little bit of bind so we can just tighten them down from the top. more

Fifth Wheel Installation - 2012 Dodge Ram- Video
Today on our 2012 Dodge Ram pickup we'll be installing the Curt custom fifth wheel installation kit, part number c16420-204. To begin our install first note we've already gone ahead and lowered and removed the spare tire and both rear wheels. Next we'll need to remove the heat shield. To do this there are a total of five fasteners that will need to be removed. We'll go ahead and remove the fasteners, and set the fasteners and heat shield aside to be reinstalled later. Using the measurements provided with our installation kit, we'll be taking the rear base rail and set it into position. more
