Now before we get too in depth about the braking system itself and talking about what it can do and how it works I figured it'd be a good idea just to kinda touch base on all the components that we're gonna need just to flat tow our Spark down the road. So you're gonna have a total of five main components needed to flat tow your Spark down the road. The first one's gonna be your base plate. Demco SBS Air Force One Supplemental Braking System Installation - 2015 GMC Sierra 2500- Video
Hey everyone, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Demco Air Force One supplemental braking system, here on a 2015 GMC Sierra 2,500. So a supplemental braking system is required in nearly every state for vehicles over a certain weight. So it's gonna be a good idea to use one for your towing setup. Now, a supplemental braking system, what it does in its most basic form, it pretty much transfers the brakes from your motor home to the towed vehicle. So the reason this is important is, some of our towed vehicles, especially our larger truck here, they're gonna put strain on the motor homes brake. It's gonna wear the motor home's brakes faster and it's not gonna allow us to come to a smooth and effective stop, as we would normally when we're not towing. more

Demco SBS Air Force One Supplemental Braking System Installation - 2020 Ford F-150- Video
Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're going to be going over and showing you how to install the Demco Air Force One supplemental braking system here on a 2020 Ford F150. A supplemental braking system in its most basic form, it's gonna be applying the brakes on our towed vehicle here, in an amount proportional to that of our motor home. So why this is important is, when we have larger towed vehicles here, like this truck, it's going to place additional force and strain on the motor home's brake. So we're not going to be able to come to a stop as fast. And it's also going to put additional wear and tear on the motor home's brake. So adding a supplemental braking system like the air force one, it's going to be an excellent option for both safety and longevity. more

Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit Installation - 2020 Ford Escape- Video
Hey, everybody. How's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit here on your 2020 Ford Escape. So, a brake-lite relay kit is gonna be required for most vehicles that have separate brake and turn signals like our Ford Escape. Now, essentially, what this kit does is it's gonna prevent the brakes in our towed vehicle from overriding the turn signals coming from our motor home. So it is an important part of our setup in order to remain legal and safe going down the road. So in regards to actual operation, or activation rather, it's gonna be triggered from turning the running lights on in our motorhome. more

Hi there Jeep owners today in your 2012 Jeep Liberty we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Supplemental Braking System. This can be purchased with either a wired LED light that goes inside your vehicle or you can get a wireless option that will plug into your motor home so it's more easier to see. Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo is a proportional braking system that will apply the brakes in your vehicle when you hit them in your motor home while you're flat-towing to help you come to a safe stop. The operating unit here uses vacuum and air pressure to do so. It actually pulls a vacuum here on our vacuum brake booster. So we get power assist in the vehicle and we're flat towing without having the engine running to provide us with that vacuum. more

Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Braking System Installation - 2014 Buick Enclave- Video
Hi, there Buick owners, today on your 2014 Buick Enclave we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to use Roadmaster's Even Brake System. The Even Bake is a semi-portable braking system that is proportional, so it will apply the brake with an even amount of pressure to match how much you're hitting the brake in your motor home when you're flat towing your vehicle. It does this using internal inertia sensors. So when you hit the brakes in your vehicle it detects that movement as you slow down and it will apply the brake in the vehicle to help match that to assist your vehicle in coming to a safe stop. You can adjust the sensitivity and force of the braking system with the buttons located on the unit here. You can turn it up or down if you need more force or less, and you're just changing how much the unit reacts to the internal inertia sensor. more

Our stoplight switch is going to send a signal to our indicator light or our Coachlink system, in this case, letting us know that the brakes are being applied, and how this works is there's a little plunger that hits the brake pedal arm and that's compressed whenever it's touching the arm. When that brake pedal pushes down that plunger extends sending the signal. more

So nearly every state nowadays requires a towed vehicle. Over a certain amount requires a supplemental braking system. Our Jeep here is going to exceed that weight in pretty much all States. So in order to remain legal while you're towing your vehicle, you're going to need a supplemental braking system. Demco SBS Air Force One Supplemental Braking System Installation - 2012 Ford F-150- Video
Hi there Ford owners. Today on your 2012 Ford F-150, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Demco's Air Force One. And this is what our braking system looks like when it's installed. The operating unit here takes air from the air brake system on your motor home, and is used to send it out to an actuator located on the pedal inside, and it will proportionately apply the brake pedal in your vehicle as you press the brakes in your motor home, helping you come to a seamless, smooth stop. And you can see here where our air hoses connects to our motor home. There is a tank and some fittings that we tap into on the motor home side that allows us to get that pressure from the brake system when we press the brakes. more

Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit Installation - 2018 Ford Edge- Video
Today on our 2018 Ford Edge you're gonna be taking a look at, I'm gonna be showing you how to install the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit. To install our stop light switch, it's a little bit hard to see, um, up underneath our dash, so I'm gonna kind of explain it here. This is going to be our switch. We're gonna have two wires that come off of it. Uh, we're gonna have to run both of them out through the grommet and the firewall, so what I did is I used the airline tube for my breaking system when I was installing it to push that lines through there. You're gonna have a red and a green wire that come in your kit. more
