Blue Ox Tow Bar Wiring - Bypasses Vehicle Wiring - BX88271 Review- Video

Blue Ox Tow Bar Wiring - Bypasses Vehicle Wiring - BX88271 Review

Today we're going to review part number BX88271, this is the Blue OX ATM Mini Fuse Bypass Switch for tow vehicles. On some automobiles they can only be towed if you get under the hood and you pull a fuse, if you don't remove that fuse before towing, what will happen there's a good chance that your car's battery will be drained by the time you reach your destination. So if you use this fuse disconnect system, this will allow your vehicle to be towed. This system will bypass your car's fuse, so you can tow your vehicle without draining its battery. It gives you a simple alternative to having to remove the mini fuse every time you tow and since you move the mini fuse every time you tow and since you move the mini fuse right to here it will actually store the fuse so you don't lose it. This part does install very quickly and easily and permanently, basically what you'll do is remove the ATM mini fuse from your car's fuse box, open this holder right here and install the one you took out of your car's fuse box right into there and then once that's all in there, what you want to do is take these connectors right here and you connect these into the connection to where you took the fuse out of in your fuse box, so this will plug into where the fuse came out of and you'll put the fuse right here. This will maintain the function of the mini fuse so when you switch it on, if you see the switch right here, there's a white dot and not a white dot, so when you push that white dot down, that's the on position, that means you can just drive the car like normal, no problem. When you're going to tow it, push it to the off position and that will allow it to override that mini fuse so it doesn't drain the battery. This part is made in the USA. more

Tail Light Isolating Diode System Demonstration

This part is for a vehicle to vehicle towing kit. What this basically does is, say you have an RV or motor home or pickup truck and youre going to towing another vehicle on all four wheels youre going to need this wiring harness to make the lights on the towed vehicle work with the towing vehicle. So you have your four basic signals, your ground, running lights, left turn and right turn. You also have plenty of harness to attach this on the towed vehicle. When you make your connections on the towed vehicle itself, you have to install these diodes here. At the point where you make your connections on your vehicle whether it be your left or right turn or the running light circuit you will have to install these diodes. more
