But you will want to keep in mind, they're all going to offer the two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, so there's no need for an adaptor. Now, for your normal bumpers, or for the standard step bumpers, for the Curt it's going to be part number C15300, the Draw-Tite will be part number 41904, and the BMW will be part number BWHDRH25122. Now, on some of those trucks, they did have a very deep, drop style bumper. They would start narrower at the edge, and kind of get thicker as they got towards the middle. If you do have that style of bumper, there is an availability from Curt that's going to work out great for you. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 1988 Ford F-250 - B and W

Today on this 1988 Ford F-250, we're going to review and install the B&W Heavy Duty Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number BWHDRH25122. All steel construction with a powder coat finish to it. You'll notice it does sit below the bumper, have about 2", maybe 2-1/2" of clearance down below so we don't have to worry about interference. This does have a 2" opening right here and uses a 5/8" hitch pin hole. Even our safety chain loops here are constructed from heavy duty steel as well. It does have a thick spacing right here between the opening and the outside edge so this inaudible 00:00:37 big sized hooks. Weight capacity of your hitch is right at the top. It actually has a 16,000-lbs of pull weight and also 1,600-lbs of tongue weight. more

Today on our 1990 Ford F-150 were gonna be installing the Draw-Tite Hitch part number 75038. For this application, weve gone ahead and removed the spare tire. Now were ready to install the hitch. Its a good idea to get an extra set of hands to help you put the hitch in place. Well use a pair of clamps or vise grips to secure the hitch to the frame. Its got a total of 6 attachment points and each one of these will need to be drilled out before you can install your hardware. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 1990 Ford F-150

Today on this 1990 Ford F-150 we are going to install part number 14001 from Curt. One of our first steps this involves is we have to lower our spare tire a little bit to get it out of the way. Sometimes this hanger gets in the way. What you have to do is test it. We will go ahead and put the hitch up. Clamp it into position. Mark our holes, and drill out the holes in the frame. Clamping this up into position can be a little bit of a bear so it is a good idea to have an extra set of hands involved. And you see here we have got our hitch here clamped into position. What we will do next is block our holes where it is going to be drilled. We are going to be drilling here, here, and here. We will start off with the pilot hole about a 1/ 4 inch the way up to a 1/ 2 inch. We have got our holes drilled out on the passenger side here. more
