Trailer Hitch Installation - 2011 Chevrolet Silverado - Draw-Tite- Video

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2011 Chevrolet Silverado - Draw-Tite

Speaker 1: Today on our 2011 Chevrolet Silverado we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite, class three, custom fit trailer hit receiver, part number 75521.So here's what our hitch looks like once it's fully installed on our truck. Now we are gonna see just a little bit of the cross tube, but it's gonna blend in nicely with the black plastic that's on our bumper. If you're looking at the other Draw-Tite as well as this one you might notice that there's very few differences on them, this one the safety chain connection points are gonna be slightly different and we are gonna have two more connection points that are gonna mount up right underneath the bumper here, but this one is gonna give a slightly higher tongue weight. Now this is a class three hitch so it's gonna give us that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening and it has a nice reinforced collar giving it added strength and just overall a clean, finished look. Now the way we're gonna mount any of our accessories is gonna be with this hitch pin hole which is gonna be the one farthest forward towards our cab and it's gonna accept a standard five-eighths pin and clip. Now they're not included but you can pick one up on our website using part number PC3 or we have a wide variety of locking hitch pins available as well. The small hole towards the back of our receiver tube is gonna be for the J-pin stabilization device, which is gonna be great if any of your accessories don't have a built in anti-rattle.Now the safety chain connections that we we're mentioning before are gonna be a loop style on this Draw-Tite and as you can see we're gonna have plenty of room to get most size hooks on or off and even with a locking device we're really not gonna have to worry about too much room or interfering with those. Now Draw-Tite has taken the extra step and actually welded a bracket onto the cross tube here so that way you can mount any of your electrical accessories if they're not built into your truck and we have a wide variety of those available as well. Now this Draw-Tite is gonna feature a 900 pound tongue weight along with a 6,000 pound gross trailer weight rating. Now it is designed to work with weight distribution systems, which is gonna bump our tongue weight up to 1,050 pounds and it's gonna bump our gross trailer weight rating up to 10,500 pounds. Now I always want to remind you, you always want to double check your vehicles owners manual to make sure your truck can handle pulling that amount of weight.I'd like to give you a few measurements that's gonna help you decide on accessories for your new hitch such as a ball mount, bike rack, or even a cargo carrier. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2011 Chevrolet Silverado - Curt

Speaker 1: Today on our 2011 Chevrolet Silverado, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Class IV Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number: 14301. Our cross tube is gonna be slightly visible and it's gonna sit just right below the bumper. But the nice thing is, is the cross tube is gonna blend in with that black plastic on our bumper itself. Now, this is a Class IV hitch and it's gonna give us that 2" by 2" receiver tube opening. And a big difference between this one and the Torklift that we have on our website is that this one is gonna be a one piece design, which is gonna make it a little bit easier to install. And this one actually is gonna have a higher rating for tongue weight, as well as gross trailer weight rating. more

Our cross tube is going to stick out just below the bumper, but it is going to tuck up nicely. The main thing we're going to see is that receiver tube sticking out. It is a class three hitch, which means it's going to give us that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening. It has that nice reinforced collar, not only giving it added strength but that nice clean finished look. Our hitch is going to use a standard 5/8th 00:00:35 pin and clip to mount any of your accessories, whether it be a ball mount, bike rack or even a cargo carrier. Trailer Hitch Installation - 2011 Chevrolet Silverado - Curt C15323

Speaker 1: Today on our 2011 Chevrolet Silverado, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Class V Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number C15323.So here's what our hitch looks like fully installed. It is going to stick out just right below our bumper with the cross tube, but it is going to blend in nicely with the black plastic on our bumper. Now if you're comparing this to other two inch by two inch receiver tube opening hitches, this one is going to have the most weight capacity, and that's why it's called the extra duty. Now it is a class V hitch, but it's still going to give us that two inch by two inch opening, and it's going to have that nice reinforced collar. As you can see, it's going to have a nice matte black finish opposed to the gloss finish that's on a lot of other hitches. Still going to use that standard 5/8 pin and clip, or if you'd like you can pick up a locking device on our website. The safety chain loops are going to be a plate style welded to the bottom. more
