Speaker 1: Today we'll be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 1978 Chevrolet C/K series pickup. Here we have our two hitches. On the top is going to be our Curt class 4, part number C14082, and then on the bottom we have our Draw-Tite class 5. That part number is going to be 41947. These are both going to have 2"x2" receiver tube openings. These are both going to have powder coated finishes, which will help to reduce rust and corrosion.As for installation, both the Curt and the Draw-Tite will require some drilling, but they're bolt on applications. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 1978 Chevrolet ck Series Pickup - Draw-Tite- Video
Today on our 1978 CK Series Pickup, we'll be installing the Draw-Tite Max E Class 3 2 inch Receiver Tube Hitch, part number 41001. Next we'll give you a couple measurements to assist you with selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper is 4 inches. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 21 inches. This will assist you with selecting accessories such as a draw bar, a bike rack or cargo carrier. Now let's go ahead with installation. To install our hitch, we'll be using the new hardware provided with our install kit. more
