Trailer Hitch Installation - 2006 Ford F-350 - Curt

Today on our 2006 Ford F350 we'll be installing the Curt Trailer Hitch the class five extra duty with a two inch opening part number C15410. Now here's what the hitch looks like installed on our vehicle. Now we'll go ahead and give you a couple of measurements in helping you choose some accessories for your hitch such as ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outer most edge of the bumper is approximately three inches and from the top from the opening in the receiver to the ground is approximately 24 inches. To begin with let's go ahead and show you the hardware that we'll be using to mount the hitch to the vehicle. All eight locations we'll be using the same hardware. We'll be using a 9/16th by an inch and three quarter carriage bolt, a square hole spacer block and a 9/16th hex flange nut. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2006 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Today we are going to install part number 41931 from Draw-Tite, and we are going to install this hitch on a 2006 Ford F-250 Super Duty. We are looking at the passengers side frame rail here, and the hitch is going to get attached at this hole here, here, here and here. And you can tell by the whole area that the original factory hitch was on there already so we already took that off. The hitch is going to attach to the same place as the factory hitch did. This one will be a lot heavier hitch. And it will be identical on both sides. The factory wiring we took and just tucked it out of the way for now during our install. We will go ahead and reinstall that after the hitch is done. more
