Today on our 1999 Ford F-250 we're going to take a look at our best hitch options available, starting with the Curt Class 4 Hitch, part number C14355. This is a 2" x 2" receiver tube. It comes with a 1.000 lb tongue capacity and a 10,000 lb tow capacity. When using a weight distribution system, this hitch has a 1,200 lb tongue weight capacity and a 12,000 lb gross towing capacity. We've got our Curt Class 5, part number C15410. This is a 2" x 2" receiver tube, tongue weight capacity is going to be 2,550 lbs and a 17,000 lb tow capacity. more

Here's what our hitch will look like once installed. Next, go ahead and give you a couple of measurements to assist you in selecting accessories for your new hitch, such as a ball mount, bike rack, or cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper, it's 3.5 inches. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 22.25 inches. Now, go ahead with the installation. We're going to go ahead and lower and remove the spare time to make it easier to install the new hitch. All right, now we can go ahead and point out the attachment points. more
