Today on our 2012 Subaru Outback Wagon, we will be taking a look at and installing the Curt Custom Fit Class 3 trailer hitch receiver, part number 13390. We'll give you a few measurements to help you in selecting some hitch accessories, such as ball mounts, bike racks, and cargo carriers. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground is going to be about 14". From the center of the pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper is going to be about 2 1/2". Here's what our hitch is going to look like once it's installed. It's going to have that nice round bar design and it's going to be nice and sleek against the back end of the vehicle with that black powder coat finish to help prevent any kind of rust and corrosion. With it's fully welded design, it's going to be nice and sturdy, offering a 600 pound tongue weight capacity and 4000 pound towing capacity with it's 2" by 2" receiver tube opening and plate steel design. It's going to have a 5/8" pin hole going straight through the center. more

If you have a dual rear exhaust system, you have to compensate by removing additional hangers. Well also go ahead and note this process we do here on one side is going to get repeated identically on the opposite side as our attachments are the same for each side.Heres what our hitch is going to look like once installed. You have that nice sleek tuck design where it's going to be underneath the back side of the vehicle where it really isn't going to be visible. The only thing you're really going to see from the back end is going to be that receiver tube. You're going to have a fully welded design with a black powder coat finish. It's going to help prevent any kind of rust and corrosion. Also plate steel brace across the bottom which is also going to double as your chain tie down on either side. more

Today on our 2016 Subaru Forester, we'll be taking a look at and installing the Curt custom fit class 2 trailer hitch receiver, part number C12100. Here's what a hitch is going to look like once it's installed. You're going to see it's going to be nice and tucked away underneath the back side of the vehicle with only the chain tie downs and our receiver tube really being visible from that back side. Now this is going to be your class 2 receiver hitch coming with a fully welded design, black powder coat finish to resist any kind of rust and corrosion and it's going to have a 350 pound tongue weight capacity and 35 hundred pound towing capacity. Remember it's got a half inch pin hole going straight through so you can secure your items down that you have on the back end. You can see that into that receiver tube, it's almost going to be out to the back of the bumper so you won't have to worry about having anything that's going to come to close to the back side of the vehicle when you place in any items on the back. Whether that be a cargo carrier, a ball mount, or even a bike rack. Now I'll go ahead and give you a few measurements to assist you in selecting from hitch accessories. more

Today on our 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek, we're going to be taking a look at and installing our Draw Tite Support Frame Class I Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 24886.Speaker 2: Now here's what our trailer hitch is going to look like once it's installed on our vehicle. It's going to have that nice, clean, sleek look across the back, with that black powder coat finish to help prevent any kind of rust and corrosion, as well as a fully welded design. It's going to have your chain tie-downs on either side, and your inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube with a 200 pound tongue weight capacity and 2,000 pound towing capacity. It's going to have that half inch hole going straight through with that plate steel design over the to to add that extra strength on the end of your tongue. Now we'll go ahead and give you a few measurements to help you in selecting hitch accessories. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground, it's going to be about 15 inches. From the center of the panel to the outer most part of the bumper, it's going to be about two and three quarter inches. This will assist you in selecting for bike racks and cargo carries. We'll go ahead and take a safety strap and put it up over the bottom side of the frame, that way when we drop down our exhaust, it doesn't fall under its own weight. more

It's also going to come out far enough to where you can place your items on the back side without making contact with that back bumper. With it extending out and away from the vehicle a little bit. You're going to have a 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube. Your chain tie downs on either side as well as your 5/8 inch pinhole straight through with the j-pin style holes here in the front. more

Today in our 2015 Subaru Legacy, we're going to review and install the draw-tight max-spring class 3 two-inch receiver tube hitch part number 75673. Here's what it's going to look like once it's installed. Side brackets of our hitch tuck up nicely behind the rear fascia. The only thing really exposed is our square cross tube going into our receiver tube. On either side of the receiver tube is the large, easy-to-access chain hold downs. Going all the way through the receiver tube is going to be our five-eighths pinhole. Then a half inch hole designed to use with the J-pin style anti-rattle bowl. more

This is a custom fit class 3 receiver with a 2 inch opening, its part number is 75673. Here's what the hitch is going to look like once you get it installed. It's a nice class 3 hitch, it's going to give us a lot of options as far as what we can use it with, cargo carriers, bike racks, towing's not a problem with this. This is going to offer a 600 pound maximum tongue weight rating and a 4,000 pound gross trailer weight rating, of course check the owner's manual in the Outback, make sure it can handle that, if not go off of what ever of those numbers are the lowest. You can see this is going to have the dual pin set up. The one furthest in is for our hitch pin and clip, maybe our anti-rattle device, maybe our locking hitch pin, any 5/8 accessory will work great with that. more

Today on our 2006 Subaru Impreza we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the CURT custom fit class one trailer hitch, part number C11318. Here you can see what the hitch looks like once it's installed on the vehicle. Now, as you can see, it comes down maybe just a little further than some of the others that I've seen here, but it was also a little easier to put in the car because of the way this is designed here. It's a little bit thinner area that goes over our exhaust system, so kind of some give and some take there. It hangs down here, which is a little different I think than what some of the other ones do. Aesthetically, you may decide you like one over the other. Something we did like about this this hitch is that it mounts using just four bolt hole locations rather than the six. more

For a soft overall look that does sit below the bumper here, probably about 5 inches below the plugs here on our trunk pan.Take a look at the receiver from the inch and a quarter across, has nice reinforcement collar. On the front, it also has a continuous loop here for your safety chains. A couple other details about our hitch. more

From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 13-1/2 inches. This will assist your selecting accessories such as a ball mount, bike rack or cargo carrier. Well now go ahead with the installation. Before we lower the exhaust were going to put a safety strap underneath so that after we remove the rubber isolators that hold the exhaust in place we can use the safety strap to safely lower the weight of the exhaust. more

Today on our 2010 Subaru Forester, we'll e installing the CURT Hitch, part number C12047. This is what our hitch will look like once installed. Next we'll go ahead and give you a couple measurements to assist you in selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper is 4 inches. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 14-3/4 inches. This will assist you in selecting accessories such as a ball mount, bike rack or cargo carrier. Now we'll go ahead with the installation. Before we begin removing the rubber isolators from metal hangers, we'll go ahead and take a safety strap and put it under the exhaust so that it'll help control the weight and we can safely lower it. We'll first go ahead and locate the exhaust hangers. There are a total of five hangers, two for each muffler, one on the inside and outside of the muffler and then one just forward of the rear axle. more

This will assist you with selecting accessories such as a ball mount bike rack, or cargo carrier. Now we'll go ahead with the installation. Before we begin, removing the rubber inaudible 00:00:33 from metal hangers, we'll go ahead and take a safety strap and put it under the exhaust so that it'll help control the weight and we can safely lower it. Now, lets go ahead and install our hitch. To begin with, lets go ahead and point out the five rubber exhaust hangers that were going to need to remove in order to lower our exhaust down out of the way and off to install our hitch. Now, before we remove any of these rubber exhaust hangers, were going to go ahead and install a safety strap to support the exhaust, so it doesnt get lower down or doesnt come down too far where it could be damaged. Were going to use a little bit of spray lubricant and large pry bar to remove the rubber exhaust hangers. Next, well go ahead and use our safety strap now that our rubber exhaust hangers have been removed to lower our exhaust down to give ourselves a little more working room. Next, were going to need to remove a bolt from each side of our heat shield. more
