Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today, on our 2023 Toyota Highlander, we're gonna be showing you how to install the tekonsha four-way flat vehicle wiring harness. Before we get into that though, let's just take a minute to check this out and make sure it's gonna work for you. You got your trailer hitch, and you plan on pulling your trailer around. You're gonna need a way to power up all lights on that trailer, and this kit right here, is gonna allow you to legally and safely be able to accomplish that. So, it just has a four-way flat end, and this is really common for, you know, the majority of trailers that the Highlander will be able to pull. more

Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2015 Subaru Forester- Video
Welcome to etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Hopkins trailer wiring harness here on our 2015 Subaru Forester. The 4-pole trailer wiring connector is gonna help our vehicle provide the necessary lighting functions to keep us safe on the road to our trailer, our left turn, our right turn, our running lights, and our brakes to help us stay DOT compliant. A lot of trailer wiring harnesses out there on the market, you're gonna have to run a separate power wire all the way up to the front of the vehicle to connect to the battery. With the Hopkins wiring harness, we don't have to do that, because there's already a towing prep package port right behind this panel here on the Subaru. With plugging into the factory prep package port on our vehicle, we also have an inline module that's gonna protect our vehicle from any back feed from our trailer's wiring system, so that way if there's a problem on the trailer, it does not affect the lights on our vehicle. more

Hi. John with etrailer. Today, on our 2014 Mobility Ventures MV-1, we're gonna be looking at and installing the CURT trailer wiring harness. So this harness actually connects from the inside, and it comes out from the inside when you're gonna use it to tow a trailer. When it's not in use, you can throw it in the back, and it's out of the element. (hatch slams) Then, when you're ready to use it, you can open the hatch and it simply just comes out, drapes over through this rubber seal, (hatch slams) and you're ready to hook up to your trailer. more

Tow Ready Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 GMC Sierra 1500- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the seven pole wiring for your in-bed for 5th wheel or goosenecks on a 2016 GMC Sierra 1500. And if you're using a 5th wheel or a gooseneck in your truck, chances are you're having to plug in that seven pole and draping it over the tailgate of your vehicle does work, but if you can extend that to the inside of your bed that way it's nice and easy to plug in, this is gonna be a great option, and this is how you're gonna accomplish it. The spring loaded lid is gonna keep any water or debris from building up in the plug, and it's just gonna retain all the same factory lighting functions as your 7-way. You'll also be able to use this one, as well as the one that's already factory so you're just kind of jumping right off of it so you're just changing location to make it easier on you. Now to begin our installation the main thing we're gonna want to do is figure out where we're gonna mount up our seven way. And generally in this flat area is a pretty safe spot and pretty common for people to put this in place. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at "etrailer". And today, we're taking a look and installing the Tekonsha seven-pole trailer wiring on a 2019 Nissan Pathfinder. If you ever plan on towing a trailer with your vehicle, it's essential to pick up trailer wiring. And that way, you can plug into the trailer and mimic the light sequence on your vehicle to the trailer, keeping you safe and legal. And sometimes your four-pole will get you by, but on larger trailers, sometimes you have a seven-pole connection and it's nice to have that seven-pole because you can also get a 12-volt outlet from it as well as the ability to run a brake controller, so that's why we have our seven-pole installed on our Pathfinder today. Overall, the installation is pretty easy on this. more

Curt 5th Wheel Gooseneck Wiring Harness Installation - 2019 Ford F-150- Video
Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2019 Ford F-150 we're gonna be showing you how to install the Curt In Bed Wiring Harness. But before we get into that why don't we just take a minute, check this out and make sure it's gonna work for you. For those of you planning on pulling a fifth wheel trailer like our neighbor here today or even a gooseneck, having a a seven-way wiring connector in the bed is definitely gonna be beneficial. You know, it's the right way to do things. That way when you're hooked up to your trailer you take that connector, plug it right into the seven-way and you're good to go you know you're not gonna have to deal with draping it over your tailgate, plugging it in down there at the bumper and then you know, risk scratching your paint up or whatever or potentially it coming disconnected or putting, you know a strain on that wire or anything like that. more

Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2022 Nissan Pathfinder- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Tekonsha T-One Trailer Wiring Harness which is gonna be a 4-pole on a 2022 Nissan Pathfinder. Now if you are planning on towing any trailer with your Pathfinder you are gonna need to pick up some 4-pole wiring and that's gonna allow you to send your running lights, your brake lights, and turn signals to the lights on the trailer, keeping you safe and legal. But also a lot of accessories these days as far as bike racks or cargo carriers will also take a 4-pole if they do have LED wiring on them. So it's a good option to have installed on your vehicle and this one is super easy to get installed. It's plug and play, there's no splicing and you have everything you need in your kit to get this wired up. Pretty simple, you're gonna be plugging in to an interior plug that's gonna match to your new harness. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look and installing Curt four-pole trailer wiring, that's vehicle-specific, for our 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee WK. Having four-pole wiring is essential if you plan on pulling a trailer as it's gonna give you your light functions. That way, when you have your running lights on, your turn signals or brake lights, it's gonna shoot that signal back to the lights on your trailer, keeping you safe and legal and letting everyone behind you know what you're intending to do. Now, as far as mounting up your four-pole, you can actually just use the dust cap that's included and clip this around the safety chain loop and it's gonna keep it nice and protected and clean until you're ready to use it. Other options, we have plenty of brackets available here that's gonna allow you to properly mount that up. more

Hopkins Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2022 Subaru Outback Wagon- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today we're taking a look and installing the Hopkins 4-Pole Trailer Wiring Harness on 2022 Subaru Outback. Now many accessories today, like your cargo carriers or bike racks will have lights built into them, and that way if they're blocking the view of the lights of your vehicle people can still see what you're doing, and that's gonna be accomplished by a 4-pole wiring harness. Now this is also gonna work with your small trailers that have 4-pole. That way when you turn on your headlights, you'll have the lights on the trailer working as well as your turn signals and brake signals. Now the great part about this one is you're not having to run a power wire up to the battery, and it lives inside the vehicle when you're not using it. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Tekonsha T-One trailer wiring harness. And this is gonna be a four-pole and that way you can hook up to your trailer or your lights on any accessory with your 2022 Hyundai Tucson. Now if you plan on pulling trailers, having four-pole wiring is a necessity because to operate the lights on the back of the trailer you're gonna need to plug into this, that way you get your running lights, your turn signals, and brake lights on the back of the trailer, keeping you safe and legal. Now luckily, this is a super easy one to do. You're just simply going to plug it in, zip tie up, and mount up your module. And really all that's left to do is use your plug. more

Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2022 Mazda CX-30- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at Etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing Tekonsha T1 Trailer wiring harness on a 2022 Mazda CX-30. If you plan on towing a trailer or if you have accessories with lights on them, having a four pole wiring is going to allow you to have your light signals, including your running lights, your brake lights and turn signals transfer to the trailer or accessories letting the people behind you know what you're doing and it's gonna keep you safe and legal. Now this is a pretty easy way to get wiring in because it snaps into factory connections of your taillights and just kind of jumpers in. Now with that, you are gonna need to run a power wire up to the battery and that's kind of where it gets a little bit tricky of just going underneath the car to run it. But overall, the installation is fairly easy and the great part about this is even though you're plugging into your factory wiring, it's module protected, so if you ever have a back feed from your trailer, it's not gonna fry any of the lights on your OEM harness. So that's really nice, you get a little piece of mind there and there's also a fuse to keep it protected as well. more

Now that's gonna make it nice and easy to get that four-pole wiring and that way you get your lighting function when pulling a trailer. So you'll have your running lights, your turn signals, and brake lights, and that's gonna keep you safe and legal while driving. Another great thing is this runs into a module that is gonna keep it protected from any back feed. There's also an inline fuse from the battery, so that way you're not gonna damage any of your factory wiring and you're gonna be able to plug in to that factory wiring just like that. more
