Today on our 2016 Kia Sorrento, we're going to be installing the Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness with the four-pull flat wiring trailer connector. Part number is C56151. Now here you can see your wiring and what it's going to look like when you receive it. You're going to have a hardware kit that includes a fuse. That fuse is going to go right into our fuse holder. It helps protect any of the circuits of our vehicle, and also our trailer. Got our module box. more

Today on our 2015 Kia Sorento, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness with a 4-pole flat trailer connector. Part number is C56256. Now here's what our wiring's going to look like before we get it installed. Here's our main gold, I have a four pole trailer connector to power lights or cargo carrier, whatever we're going to have that connected to. Our red, yellow, brown wire, this is going to run in behind our driver side tail light. Our white wire you can see it's got a ring terminal on it. more

Today on our 2006 Kia Sedona, we'll be installing the Curt T-Connector 4-Pole Trailer Connection, part number C55503. To begin our install, we'll first open up the rear hatch. This will expose the three screws on each side to remove the taillight assemblies. We'll go ahead and remove those screws, and then pop the taillight assemblies out. Next, we'll locate the manufacturer's wiring harness that comes into the taillight assembly. Press on the locking tab for the connector and remove it from the taillight socket. more

Today on our 2003 Kia Sorento were going to be installing the Tow Ready T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness with a Four-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number 118307. Now to make things a little bit easier to get to the plug thats underneath the passenger side of the vehicle here were going to go ahead and lower the spare tire down out of the way. Now that weve got the spare tire removed down out of the way lets go ahead and point out the location that were looking for. Its right here over on the passenger side. This right here is the plug that well need to connect our new T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness in with. Were going to first need to remove the dust cap or cover thats on it currently. To do that well push in on the tab right here and gently pull outward on the cap. Well then take the wiring harness line it up and plug it back together. more

Today, on this 2005 Kia Sedona, we're going to install part number 118309. This is a T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-pole Flat Trailer Connector. The first thing we need to do is go ahead and open the back hatch and we'll go ahead and loosen up the tail light. Now, to take off our driver's side tail light, we'll go ahead and remove these two screws here using a number two Philips screwdriver. To get them unattached, we'll put them back in a place temporarily while we'll go ahead and remove the rest of the our panels. We can have a slack so we can move the wire around to have easier access on the inside. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2015 Kia Sorento C56151

Today on our 2015 Kia Sorento, we'll be installing the Curt Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number C56151. To begin our install, we'll first need to remove the underbody panel on the driver's side. The underbody panel here on the driver's side has four pushpin fasteners where we'll screw the center of the fastener out and then remove it. You may need to hold the outer portion of the fastener as you unscrew the center. Now once we have those four fasteners out, we'll set them aside for now and then we'll go ahead and pull the panel down. Now it's held in position with two pushpin fasteners going over metal studs that come through the bottom of the vehicle floorboard. A quick snap or pop will free them up. Now with the panel down and out of the way, we can see the two manufacturer's electrical connection points. more

Today, on our 2007 Kia Sorento, we'll be installing the Curt, T connector wiring kit, part number C56151. We've already gone ahead and lowered the spare tire out of the way to make the installation a little bit easier. This will get reinstalled after the installation is finished. According to the directions that come with the package, it says that you will locate the two wiring connections on the driver side of the vehicle. One this particular model, a 2007 Kia Sorento EX, the wiring location is actually on the passenger side as shown here. There are two different plugs that we'll be using. Both of the plugs have a fractured plug already installed on them to keep any dirt and debris getting in them. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Kia Sorento

Today on our 2012 Kia Sorento, we will be installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness, part number C56163. We'll start our installation by gaining access to the back of the vehicle. Then we will need to remove both tail lights by removing the two screws that hold them in place. With the screws removed, we can remove the tail light. Just pulled the tail light straight back toward us, being careful not to break the alignment tabs. We can then disconnect the factory wiring harness from the tail lamp. Then we will set the tail light to decide. With the driver side done, we can now go to the passenger side of the vehicle and repeat that process. With The taillights out of the way, we now need to run the wires for our new wiring harness. more

Today on our 2014 Kia Sportage, we'll be installing the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness, part number 118526. The first thing we'll need to do, is open the rear hatch door of our Kia, remove the rear carpet, and the rear organizing tray. Put that out of the way. We can remove the three screws on our rear threshold trim piece. Now with those three screws removed, we'll go ahead and set them to the side. Next step, is removing the center threshold trim. With the threshold loose, before it will completely release, we have to remove this little trim piece which covers the rear hatch lock. The next step is, we have to loosen up this panel on the driver side. more

Today on our 2011 Kia Sorento, well be installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for factory tow package part number C56151. Now the factory tow connections are located at the driver side rear of the vehicle behind the driver side rear wheel. Theres two connection points that well be tying in the new connector. Well need to first remove the dust cap thats on both of the two connectors. Well do that by pushing in on their locking tab and gently pulling the covers off. Now this back one here, the locking tab is actually up on top so it might be a little hard to see. Well just squeeze in on top. more

Today on our 2014 Kia Sorento, we'll be installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Connector, part #C56151. To begin our install, we'll first go ahead and get underneath the vehicle and locate the manufacturer's tow ports located on the driver's side behind the rear wheel. Once we've located them we'll need to remove the connector cover. We'll set it aside as it will not be reinstalled. We'll repeat the same process with our second connector. Now, with both wiring ports exposed, we can go ahead and take the Curt T-Connector and plug directly into the manufacturer's tow port. We'll give it a quick tug to make sure that it locked into place. Next we'll go ahead and we'll install the red 10-amp fuse into the fuse holder and then replace the cap. Now we'll mount the converter box. Once we adhere the adhesive to the converter box, we'll go ahead and remove the second side of the two-way adhesive and attach the converter box to a clean flat surface, preferably sheet metal. more

Today on our 2013 Kia Sorento well be installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle wiring harness for factory toll package with a four-pull flat trailer connector, part number C56151. The two ports that well be plugging into the factory wiring harness are located here on the driver side rear. Well need to remove two dust covers, one from each of the plugs on the factory wiring harness before we can install our new Curt T-Connector Vehicle wiring harness.To remove each of the dust covers, simply pushing the locking tab and gently pull out. Now, were ready to plug our new Curt T-Connector in. Simply match up each of the plugs with the opposite side, and plug them in, making sure that we hear each of the locking tabs locked firmly into place. Now that we have each of the plugs connected, well go ahead and add our 10 amp fuse into the red fuse holder.Next, well need to go ahead and add our two-sided tape to the back of the converter box. more

Today, on this 2006 Kia Sedona, we're going to install Part Number 118410 from Tow Ready. This is our T-One Wiring Harness. To start off our install, we're going to open up the back hatch and then we're going to remove the tail lights. There's three screws in each side and then we can go ahead and remove the tail light by pulling it off to the side. We'll hold the tail lights, so we can see the mounting points on the side, but you can see how the tail lights attach to the vehicle. To disconnect the wire harness, there's a small tab on the wire harness that we push down to release it then we can go ahead and pull it apart. more

Today on this 2012 Kia Optima, we're going to install part number 118453 from Tow Ready. First thing we need to do is open up the trunk and then we'll remove the floor liner, and then we'll go ahead and remove the threshold. There will be three fasteners on each side that we have to remove. Once the fasteners are removed, we can go ahead and pull up gently from the bottom and it pops right out. All right, now we'll go ahead and remove the liner on each side of the vehicle. There will be two fasteners that we need to remove as well and then we can go ahead and pull back the liner, and then we can see our connection point for our T1 connector. more

Today on our 2009 Kia Optima, we'll be installing the Tow Ready T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Trailer Connector, Part Number 118433. First, we'll go ahead and open up the rear cargo or trunk door. There are also two push pin fasteners holding the carpeting, behind the tail light assemblies that we'll remove, then we can start by removing the rear threshold. There's a total of three fasteners that'll need to be removed. Now with those five fasteners removed, we'll go ahead and lift up on the spare tire cover and remove the rear threshold. Keep in mind there are plastic fasteners still securing it to the sheet metal, you still need to pop it through. more

Today on this 2007 Kia Sportage were going to install part number 118401 from Tow Ready. This wire harness uses a port thats underneath the bumper on the passengers side behind the rear tire. Well remove the cap and install the wiring harness into that connector. To make your install of the wire harness a little bit easier, well loosen up the bumper cover to have better access so we can hide the wires behind the bumper bracket supports. Then well go ahead and route our four pole wire to the center of the hitch. Well actually use a loom clamp to help hold the wires up away, and that will be part number A0500. more

Today, on this 2012 Kia Sedona, we're going to install part number 118410 from Tow Ready. First thing we need to do is go ahead and open the tail gate and get access to the tail lights to remove both of them. They'll be three screws in each light, so to remove the tail light you will pry the light away from the vehicle. We'll disconnect the wire harness from the tail light. There will be a small tab that you have to push down and then we can go ahead and release the light from the wire harness. Next, we will go ahead and take the four pole wire and run it down between the bumper cover and the body of the vehicle. more

This will give us more access underneath for running and routing our wires. Now well go ahead and open up the cargo door and remove the rear taillight assemblies. To do this there are two fasteners on each side. Well remove the fasteners and pop the taillights free being careful not to break the alignment tabs underneath. more

To remove our taillight wiring harness well push down this tab right here, we can pull it apart. Were going to take our purple wire and put it between the bumper and the body and run it all the way out towards the bottom. Now there are some supports in there that you have to work it around so it may take some practice. more

The first step in installing a new connector is locating the manufacturer's trailer wiring on the vehicle. The plug is mounted on the passenger's side frame rail between the frame rail and the spare tire. You can see in this application, the yellow which is the inside of the plug. Normally, there'll be a cap over this plug that you'll need to remove first. more

We have got three fasteners to remove and then pop the light off. Now we will disconnect the tail lights from the wire harness. Push down this little tab and this connector will come apart. Today on this 2008 Kia Sportage we are going to be installing wiring harness part number 118401. This wiring harness is very easy to use. It is a simple plug in and there is an open ended port on the Sportage that our harness is going to plug into. If we go underneath the vehicle right near the bumper over on the passenger side you can see we have got our wiring harness with two plugs at the end of it here. The one taped on the top is the one we are looking for. This is the one we are going to be plugging our wiring harness into. Cut back the tape that is holding the two together. This does have a cap on it so remove that. There is a tab on top that if you press that in, you can pull the cap right off. 00:45 more

Today we are going to install part number 118307 from Tow Ready, and we are going to install this T-1 connector on a 2006 Kia Sorento. We are also going to be using part number 118144, 4-pole bracket, as part of this install. First we will install our bracket, and we will just install a couple of simple screws that come with the package. And then we will install our T-1 connector 4-pole harness into that. All right, the Sorento already has a port installed from the factory, so it is a simple matter of plugging the T-1 harness into this port right here. So you push down this button on top, and then take a screwdriver to catch the edge of it. It helps kind of get it started where you can pull it out. more

Today we are going to install part number 118307 on our Kia Sorrento, 2005 model. And we will show you how it plugs in. To install the part, it is a pretty simple device. There is an actual port for a towing package on the passengers side frame rail, right here. And all you have got to do, basically, is just pull off the cap. Push in this little button in and the cap comes out, and the T-1 connector actually just plugs right back in there. And at this point, you just route the T-1 however you want. Tie off the converter box in a safe location, and then just run your wires out to your hitch. more

Today we are going to do an install with part number 118431 from Tow Ready. We are going to install this T-One Connector on a 2007 Kia Rondo. Our first couple steps are to open up the trunk and we need to remove both tail lights. This is the point right here where the T1 will make the connection. Now we will just take it apart so we can take the light off. We are going to go ahead and do this for the other side also. We will go ahead and make our connection point on the driver side then we will push the rest of this down through the opening and come out down towards the bottom. We will go ahead next and install our ground wire here. At this point we can actually reconnect our light on the drivers side. more
