Hey everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L we're gonna be showing you how to install the CURT trailer hitch receiver. Before we get into that, let's just take a minute though, we'll check this out and make sure it's gonna be the right setup for you. So right off the bat, probably one of my favorite things about this hitch is the fact that it's going to sit behind the bumper, which is going to allow you to take the panel and reinstall it whenever you're not using the hitch. And so it's gonna be super clean and look factory, which kind of brings me to my next point. If you've never removed this panel, probably not a bad idea to check behind there and make sure you don't have the hitch already from the factory 'cause believe it or not, we do see that from time to time. more

Adding a two inch hitch receiver to your Grand Cherokee is gonna allow you to do a couple different things. First off, a lot of people like to use, especially a hitch this heavy rated, they like to use their hitch to pull small trailers. And if you plan on doing that, I highly recommend installing a wiring harness on the back of your Jeep so that you can safely get those lights powered on your trailer. You can use it for cargo carriers, bike racks if you wanna mount a small winch on the back if you take your Grand Cherokee off road, some people do. more

The etrailer hitch has a nice matte black powder coat finish, so with our aftermarket rough country bumper that kind of matches that, it looks really good. And going along with that, it's a two inch by two inch receiver tube opening. So that means when it comes to bike racks, cargo carriers, or a ball mount, you're gonna have tons of options available. Being a two inch by two inch receiver tube opening is gonna be a great option because when choosing ball mounts, bike racks, or cargo carriers, you're gonna have a ton of different options, as this is kind of the standard size for those. Now, all of those accessories are gonna stay in place with a 5/8 pin and clip, which is not included with the hitch, but many times when choosing accessories, they'll come with one. So that's something to look for. Now, if you wanna get a locking pin and clip, that's a great option if you plan on leaving your accessories on your vehicle because when locked in place, no one's gonna be able to just walk by and take the accessories. Our plate-style safety chain loops are gonna be great for hooking up your safety chains when towing a trailer. more

And from the factory, there's already a nice little notch where the hitch is gonna go, and it's gonna utilize some of the factory mounting points. It gives it a nice clean look, 'cause really you do see the bracket under here, but on a Jeep you're really not gonna see it that much, especially with the spare tire. The Jeep Gladiator does have a bed, so you have more than enough space to be able to put items like camping gear, if you have sporting equipment, stuff like that. Now, this is what the hitch looks like when it's installed, and this is a exposed cross tube, meaning you can see a good majority of the hitch, or at least the beam that attaches up to the frame. And normally, that's something that I I'm not exactly a huge fan on passenger vehicles, but it generally does give you a higher weight capacity, and that's definitely the case in this one. And on a Jeep, I think as a utilitarian look, it actually looks pretty cool on here. So I don't think it takes away from the looks at all. more

Curt Class III Trailer Hitch Installation - 2023 Jeep Gladiator- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Curt trailer hitch receiver on a 2023 Jeep Gladiator. Now this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed on the Gladiator and it is an exposed cross tube meaning you are gonna see a large portion of the hitch below the bumper and normally on a passenger vehicle or something along those lines. I'm not a huge fan of these because it kind of detracts away from the look of the vehicle, but on a Jeep it actually pulls it off pretty well and another bonus of having that exposed cross tube generally means that you're gonna get a little bit higher weight capacities and this one is no different. Now this being a two inch by two inch receiver tube opening means that you have a ton of accessories available for it. So whether you're looking at bike racks, cargo carriers or ball mounts, you're gonna have plenty to choose from. And we have plenty of options here at etrailer. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the etrailer trailer hitch receiver on a 2021 Jeep Cherokee. Now this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed on your Cherokee and it is gonna be a hidden cross tube and that's nice because you're not gonna be able to really see anything except for the receiver opening of the hitch, giving you a nice clean OEM look, but all the usability of your hitch, and this one is a 2"x2" receiver tube opening, so you're gonna have tons of options for ball mounts, bike racks, or cargo carriers, or honestly any accessory that you may load up here. 2"x2" is a nice one to find a bunch. All of your accessories are gonna stay in place with a 5/8 pin and clip. Now, the hitch does not come with one. A lot of times the accessories that you pick up will have one, but if you wanna pick up a locking version, those are really nice because you can leave your accessories in place, lock it in and know that no one's gonna be able to just walk away with those. more

Hello neighbors it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Stealth Hitch Receiver on a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee WK. Now this is what our hitch looks like when it's installed and you're probably going, well, where is it And that's the great part about the Stealth Hitch it's completely hidden until you're ready to hook up your accessories and then you just simply pop this into place. Now this is going to be used for just accessories. You're not gonna be able to put a ball mount on here because this is not designed for towing. If you plan on towing with a Stealth Hitch you need to make sure to pick up the towing package that will have a ball that actually pops into place rather than the receiver. But it's also gonna come with this for your bike racks and cargo carriers. more

So this is going to apply to the earlier one and this is what it's gonna look like when it's installed. Now it looks really nice because it's a hidden cross tube so the only thing that's gonna be showing is gonna be the business end of the trailer hitch receiver. more

But before we get into that, why don't we just take a minute, check this out, and make sure it's gonna work for you. Probably one of the best things about this hitch is the fact that when you're not using it it's gonna be completely hidden, so it's gonna sit behind the bumper. And on these Jeeps, they have this removable panel here, so, whenever you're ready to use it, you just turn the screws on the bottom of it, this pops out of the way, now you're gonna have full access to it. I do wanna mention, you know, before you pick out a hitch, just double check your vehicle, take this door off, make sure you don't have a factory one behind here already. more

Hi there Jeep owners. Today on your 2020 Jeep Wrangler, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Draw Tite's class three, two inch trailer hitch receiver. And this is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. Here you can see our receiver does stick out the bottom here but the rest of it is installed on the cross tube for the bumper there so you really don't have any of the rest of that showing, just our receiver. It does stick out just a little bit past our rear bumper but not as far as the spare tire. This is a class three, two inch by two inch receiver, so it's gonna be great for all of your towing needs. more

You can see that the cross tube's gonna be completely hidden behind the bumper with just our receiver here at the back. And it's tucked up nicely so it really doesn't attract too much from the looks of the vehicle. With it having the matte finish that you get on the etrailer, it really blends in with the plastic black coloring of the rear fascia on these Jeeps. Now this is what the hitch is gonna look like when it's installed and you'll see pretty quickly that this is an exposed cross tube. So you are able to see the hitch while it's on the vehicle. But really as you stand back it does stay kind of hidden because it is a little bit lower. Now this is a two inch by two inch receiver opening, so that's gonna be great for a number of different accessories.
