Today on our 1997 Ford F-350, we'll be installing the B and W Heavy Duty Trailer Hitch Receiver. Part #BWHDRH25198. Here's what our hitch looks like installed on our vehicle. We'll go ahead and give you a couple measurements in helping you choose some accessories for your hitch. Such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the top of the opening of the receiver to the ground is approximately 21 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole, to the outermost edge of the bumper on this vehicle is approximately 11 inches. Note that this vehicle does have an aftermarket style bumper installed. Let's go ahead and install our hitch. Let's first begin by pointing out our attachment points. There's a total of six locations that will mount the hitch to the frame of the vehicle. more

Today, on our 1997 Ford F250, we'll be installing our Curt two inch Receiver Hitch part number C15300. This is what our hitch will look like once installed. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper is four and a quarter inches. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 18 inches. This will assist you in selecting accessories such as a ball mount, bike rack, or cargo carrier. We'll go ahead with installation. To begin our install we'll first go ahead and point out the attachment points. more

Today on this 1997 Ford F-250 Heavy Duty we're going to be installing Curt Hitch part number 14001. We're going to go ahead and give you a couple of final install dimensions which are going to help make choosing your hitch accessories a little easier. From the top of the tube opening to the ground is going to measure 19 inches, and from the center of the pin hole, clear to the rear edge of the bumper is going to measure approximately 4 inches. Alright now we'll move on to our installation. Okay we're up underneath the vehicle now and the first thing we've done is go ahead and lower the spare tire out of the way. This particular vehicle does not have any existing holes on the frame for us to use for the hitch, so what we're going to have to do is take the hitch, clamp it to the frame, and use the hitch as a template to drill all our holes out. more
