Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2024 BMW X5, and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install, this Draw-Tite class III two inch hitch receiver. Adding the two inch hitch receiver to the back of your BMW X5 is gonna give you a few different options. It's gonna allow you to haul bike racks, which is what this owner of this vehicle's gonna be doing. You can haul cargo carriers if you need extra space on the carrier to make more room inside. Or you can pull small trailers, like if you want to tow a trailer, you will want to be sure to pick up a wiring kit so that you at least have four-pole wiring. more

Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2023 BMWX X5 and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Stealth hitch with the tow package on your vehicle here. Now before we get into a bunch of the other details, I want to explain the first and foremost and most obvious differentiator from the Stealth hitch to all the other hitches available for the X5. The X5 is a very, very good looking car and the last thing you want is a hitch receiver tube sticking out the back, especially one of this length, it kind of takes away from the car, especially if this hitch goes in five years, starts to rust. Well the Stealth hitch is designed so that you turn a knob, you can pop that receiver tube out and then there's nothing left on your car to see. With the towing kit, you're gonna get a receiver tube, which is for accessories only, so bike racks or cargo carriers and then you're gonna get a ball mount which is the only thing you can tow a trailer with. more

Now this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed and believe it or not it is installed. The name stealth implies the fact that it is gonna be completely hidden until you're ready to use your receiver. And once you are ready, it's as simple as twisting a handle back, popping this in place. (metal lightly thumping) And then once snapped in, you're ready to go. Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at Etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2019 BMW X5. Now this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed on the BMW, and it's really nice that it's a two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, and that just means you're gonna have plenty of options when choosing bike racks, cargo carriers, or ball mounts. Another pro of this hitch is it's a hidden cross tube, in fact, this one bolts up behind the impact bar, so the only thing that you're gonna see, is the receiver tube opening and the safety chain loops. Now all of your accessories are going to stay in place with a five eighths pin and clip, and this is not included with the hitch, a lotta times when you pick up accessories, they'll have one included. But if you wanna pick up a locking version, we have plenty of those available here at Etrailer, which is really nice if you plan on leaving your accessories on the vehicle, you can lock it in place, and know that no one's gonna walk away with your accessories Rolled-style safety chain loop is nice and open, allowing us to put a standard S hook, or even a larger clevis style, when hooking up your trailer. And speaking of towing, this one's rated at some pretty serious numbers. more

Hi John with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the Draw-Tite hitch. It's a class three receiver hitch and we've installed it on our 2023 BMW X5. Now right off the bat, we'll show you one of the biggest feature that everybody likes about this hitch is that this receiver tube can drop straight out of here and you're left with that clean factory look. Push in, rotate the knob, the receiver housing can come right off. Also, very nice, it has a blow molded case, so, when you're done towing, you can simply store it inside the blow molded case, throw it in your car and forget about it until you need it for next time. more

Now this is going to allow you to have your cargo carriers and bike racks loaded up. If you do plan on ever pulling a trailer you cannot put a ball mount in here. And also you're gonna need to pick up wiring. So if you do plan on pulling that trailer you can pick up the tow kit which will allow you to have that as well as the wiring and then you'll be able to say tow. Here we have our rack receiver installed and as you can tell, you can't even see it, and that's because it lives behind the rear fascia, and whenever you need to get the utility of having the hitch, when you're puttin' on your cargo carriers or bike racks, you grab this guy here and this just slides up into place. So then you're ready to hook up and put your accessories. Now, if you are planning on towing a trailer, this stealth hitch does not actually allow you to tow, it's not designed for that. But there is a heavy duty version that includes a ball mount and is actually going to let you tow and still have that stealth capabilities to take it off when you're done. more

And this is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. The cross tube is gonna be completely hidden behind the fascia as it does install behind the fascia and the bumper beam there. The only thing you wouldn't be able to see here is the receiver tube at the back. And since it is tucked up fairly nice, you will be able to see it from an angle at the side but it doesn't track from the looks of the vehicle too much. more

And that's exactly what we're doing today on our 2020 BMW X5. We're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Stealth trailer hitch receiver with the towing kit.If it we're me and I had a BMW and I wanted to tow a trailer or use some accessories, I would honestly be pretty concerned with how a hitch would look on the back of it, because got a really good looking vehicle. You really don't want a big hitch hanging down below here taking up a bunch of space, and every time you look at it, you just see an eyesore. Stealth Hidden Rack Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 BMW M3- Video
Conner: Hey everyone, Conner here today at etrailer.com. We're going to be taking a look at the stealth hitch here for our 2017 BMW M3. So this is what our hitch is going to look like while we have the receiver tube installed, and we can use it for our bike rack or our cargo carrier, whatever we may be wanting to use it at the time. However, the great thing about this particular hitch here is that when we're not using our bike rack or cargo carrier, we can actually remove this receiver tube rather easily, and we're going to have a completely factory like appearance, which is going to be important for our M3 owners here.So we're going to do is we're simply going to remove the receiver tube, and if we reach right up under the bumper here, there's going to be a very easy to use locking knob. You're just going to simply turn that. Once that's down it'll disengage our receiver tube here. more
