This is a ladder pattern style chain, so as you can see, we are gonna have a little bit of dead spots, but these are gonna be fairly aggressive. So, you really are gonna feel it when you're going down the road, but you're not gonna get stuck, 'cause these are pretty much the second most aggressive chains that we have. We have some LT studded truck chains that's a little bit more aggressive than these, but these are definitely gonna get the job done. These can be used on-road and off-road. more

Adam: What is going on, everybody Adam here with etrailer.Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Titan Chain Cable Snow Tire Chains on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee.So we are going to have a ladder pattern, style chain. We will have these steel rollers, which these aren't going to be the most aggressive chains we can put on our Grand Cherokee, but it is going to give us more traction to normal, but this is going to be the smoothest ride you will get.So if you really have lighter conditions and you really don't like knowing that there's chains on your tires, these are probably going to be the best ones to go for. One, just because it's going to give you a nice, smooth ride but yet help you out of those lighter situations.One thing I really like about it is we have these plastic little rollers on the edge, which these are under quite a bit of pressure, So having these, instead of some steel rollers, is definitely something that I would look for. It's not going to puncture your sidewall or anything like that.We don't have a whole lot of rim protection but with these, none of the steel cables are really getting in front of the wheel of our rim. We have a little bit of contact down here that could potentially happen, but I don't think a whole lot of damage is going to happen to the wheels, if any at all. But if you are concerned about that, we have other options available here at etrailer that have a nice coating on the chain that goes all the way around. more

Hey guys, it's Colin here at etrailer, and today we have a 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. So we're going to go ahead and do a test fit of these Titan Chain V-Bar Link Snow Tire Chains. Now keep in mind, the tire size for our Wrangler today is going to be 245/75R17, so double check your tire size, make sure that these chains will fit your tire.Now it's always a good idea to keep a set of chains in your Wrangler for any situation that you might find yourself in, when you just need some extra traction, whether it's ice, snow, maybe even some mud. Now with your Wrangler, obviously this can pull through a lot of different situations, but it's always nice to have that peace of mind with some aggressive chains to know that if you really do get stuck, you can throw these on your rear tire just to get that extra traction.Now, these V-Bar stud links are going to be some of the most aggressive chains you can get. The V-Bar studs are going to really dig through that thicker snow and ice to give you traction, break it up so that you can drive forward.However, on the flip side, you do want to make sure you're not driving these in any lighter conditions. If your chains are going to be making contact with the pavement, the V-Bar studs will wear down much quicker and you could possibly tear up the road. more

So the tire size on our Jeep today is going to be 245-75-17. It's kind of hard to see it's right in here. So if you don't know your tire size, you can definitely take a look at the sidewall of your tire and it should be right on there for you. These snow tire chains are going to be a great choice for you. If you're not really wanting to go with a chain that's super aggressive that maybe has the ice spikes built in, but you do want something that's going to perform well in the ice and in the snow.So that's going to get you out of those situations, going to perform very well. more

So these chains right here, I would recommend for someone that maybe if you're going off-roading with your Jeep, if you're going to be in a situation where there's a lot of mud and you are concerned about getting stuck in the mud or in deep snow situations, these are going to be the type that I would recommend for you. If you're looking for a situation where you're going to be in maybe more of an icy situation, then these are probably not going to be the best ones, but the trade-off with these are that the round twist links are going to give you a relatively better driving experience anyway. So these are the ones I would recommend for you for mud or deep snow.So as we get closer to take a look at the twist links, you can see they're rounded. So that's going to give you a considerable better ride than if you had square links or something like that. more

So what I really like about our Konig tire chains here is we have these D shaped links. And what these D shaped links are going to do is they're going to allow us to have a greater bite, if you will, on the snow and ice so we have more traction. Now in addition to the increased grip, they'll also have a pretty low profile. And what this low profile does is this is going to essentially give us a smoother ride quality if we we're to compare these to some ladder style chains for the links are much thicker, therefore the ride quality isn't as nice.So in addition to our D shaped links, our chains here have a diamond pattern. more

Speaker 1: Today in this 2019 Jeep Cherokee, we'll be test fitting the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains with the diamond pattern, part number: TC2317. This is with tire size: 245/6517.Here's what our tire chains look like installed. Now the reason you're going to want a set of tire chains for your Cherokee is if you're traveling in an area that requires them, you're going to need them. Also, it does make it a lot safer for you to move around in snow and ice.Now these are SAE Class S rated chains, which are great for vehicles that have low wheel-well clearances such as this Cherokee. You can see how close the inside edge of our tire is to our strut in the front. Other chains won't work. more

Titan Alloy Snow Tire Chains Installation - 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited we're gonna be test fitting the Titan chain alloy snow tire chains, part number TC2319.These Titan chain snow tire chains are made from a very durable material and they have these square links here that form cross chains, as well as a diamond pattern, which gives greater tire coverage, and this is gonna provide great coverage for your snow and ice situations.So this is kind of a step up about say the roller style, where that's more so for your heavy snow conditions. This one will actually cut through the ice as well.Also, it does have this built in tensioning system here, and that's kind of a step above the others as well, because they tend to have after market rubber tensioners that you would have to put on the tire chain after you install it, and with this, it's built in, and it's very easy to install.These are SAE class S chains as well, designed to work with vehicles with limited wheel well clearance, which obviously isn't the case here.These do have a max speed rating of 30 miles per hour when you're driving, and they do come with a convenient carrying bag, so once you're finished using them and they'll dried off, you can place them back in the bag here, put in the back of the jeep, and they're ready for nest time.Today, we're working with tire size P2 25 75 R16. We went ahead and laid the chain out in front of tire like you see here to make sure that they're no kinks in the line or anything like that.Before we install these, one things I'd like to note is, you may want to wear a pair of gloves while you do this because this can be a little bit trying on the hands. Although, if it's cold outside, I would be that you would be wearing gloves anyway, but just in case, these are a very good idea.Our next step is we'll take our two ends here, come up behind the tire, and make our first connection. Just hook in like so and we'll take our chains and pull them around the front, and then we'll take our yellow end here to our blue end, hook that up like so, put it together behind the tire, and then we'll come to the base of the tire here. Come to our red catch, pull the chain nice and tight, feed it through our rungs here, and we attach it to another end of the chain.Then our next step is to drive a short distance, make sure the tension's working properly, and then we're gonna be good to go.And there you have it for the Titan chain alloy snow tire chains on our 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.. more

So this is going to be a chain that's really good for your snow and your ice situations. Unlike, say, like the roller style or the ladder style that go like so around the tire, those are going to be more for your light to heavy snow situations, not so much with the ice.Also, it does have plastic pieces here to help protect your rim once it's being installed so it doesn't get scratched up, and again, the biggest advantage to this is how fast it is to install and how fast it is to uninstall.And another nice feature about this is it does come with a convenient carrying bag for when you're finished using the chains, but it kind of serves as a multi-purpose here, so once this opens up it has all the instructions necessary to put this on your vehicle.To release it, it's just as easy. You pull out the tab on the side here until you hear a click. These self-tensioning tire chains have a lot of advantages, but first you have to make sure are these the chains right for youThese chains are really designed to work with both your snow and ice conditions, so in areas where you have that inclement weather more often, I think is what these are built for. Unlike the ones that say have the rollers that are more for your light snow occasions in certain areas. These do have dual sided d-links and small links as well. These are going to provide excellent traction in both the snow and ice, but it's also going to provide a smooth ride while you drive.This also has its own tensioning system, so unlike the other chains out there you don't have to buy the separate rubber tensioners to take up that tension to make it nice and snug around the tire. Speaker 1: Today in our 2017 Jeep Renegade, we're going to test fitting the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains, part number PW2016C.These chains are typically designed to work with those rare snow occasions or light snow occasions. Those will provide good traction with light snow and the ladder pattern design will help with effective starts and stops while you're driving as well.These are low profile and they work well with vehicles with limited wheel well clearance, although that's not the case here. Also, these do meet Department of Transportation recommendations in all states and does come with a convenient bag to carry these so once you're finished using them, you can place them in there, put them in the back of your vehicle and they're ready for next time.Today we're working with tire size 2156516. We went ahead and laid the chain out in front of the tire like you see here to make sure there's no kinks in the line before we install it, and we do recommend that you wear a pair of gloves while you install this because this can be a little bit testing on the hands.So we take our chains and drape them over our tire like so. Try to do so evenly.Then we'll go to the inside of the tire and make our first connection.We'll take our open end here, put through as many connection points as we can through. The reason we're going to need a set of tire chains like this on our Grand Cherokee, even though it is four-wheel drive, the many places our customers go, especially on ski trips or to go camping, they are required by law in order for you to get to your destination when there's snow on the ground. Also, they are a great way of providing an extra sense of safety and security so you arrive at your destination safely.One great thing about these chains is that they are SAE Class S rated, and what that's going to allow us to do is provide ourselves ample clearance in our wheel wells, so we don't have to worry about damaging our vehicle, or getting them snagged on any of our break lines, or our AVS wires.What sets these chains apart from other options in the market is that these have a unique diamond pattern that's going to give us superior traction in snow and ice.
