Curt 17x46 Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2018 Subaru Crosstrek- Video
Hey everyone, Charles here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the 17x46 Curt Cargo Carrier on a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek. This carrier is gonna be a great way to free up extra space in your vehicle for more passengers, pets, or more gear. Couple things I prefer about a hitch mounted cargo carrier vs a roof mounted one, is you can have more space for your kayaks or anything like that, fishing poles. It is an inch and a quarter, it also comes with an adapter to fit your two inch hitches. On the inch and a quarter, your weight capacity is gonna be 300 pounds and on the 200, or on the two inch hitch, it's gonna be 500 pounds. Just make sure you don't exceed the capacity of your hitch, your vehicle, or the cargo basket. more

Reese Solo Cargo Carrier Review - 2019 GMC Acadia- Video
Hey everyone, Charles, here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the 32x48 Reese Solo Cargo Carrier on our 2019 GMC Acadia. This is gonna be great for freeing up a lot of space in your vehicle for more gear, extra passengers, or pets. A couple reasons why I would prefer a hitch cargo carrier over a roof-mounted one is because it's gonna be a lot easier to load and unload those heavier, bulkier items. And it'll free up space for kayaks and/or fishing poles. From the bumper to the first point of shank rise right here, it's gonna be about five inches before we hit that rise. And the clearance before we open our hatch and make contact is gonna be about 13 inches from when we open it. more

Curt 17x46 Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2022 Volkswagen Taos- Video
Hey everyone, I'm Charles with etrailer, and today we'll be taking a look at the 17 by 46 Curt cargo carrier for an inch and 1/4 and 2-inch hitches on the 2022 Volkswagen Taos. All right, so this cargo carrier is made out of a heavy-duty steel construction and has a black powder coat finish, making it very durable and corrosion resistant. And this cargo carrier also fits on an inch and 1/4 and 2-inch hitches, making it great if you have multiple vehicles and something to keep in mind, if this is on an inch and 1/4 hitch, its weight capacity can support up to 300 pounds and on a 2-inch hitch, just like we have here on the Taos, it can support up to 500 pounds, but keep in mind to look at your vehicle specifications on the tongue weight capacity. All right, so the inside length is gonna measure at about 46 inches and the inside width at about 18 inches. And just for a frame of reference, we have this tote in here and we do have the raised side rails over here giving you a lot of different mounting options. Something to keep in mind about the height of the items you can carry when you have your hatch open, we'll measure at about 23 inches of height. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the etrailer Tilting and Folding Cargo Carrier on a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Now this cargo carrier is 24 by 60 and that's gonna be large enough to get a lot of your accessories loaded up, whether it be your camping gear, whether it be some home projects, whatever it may be. And the glory of having things stored outside your vehicle is if you are picking up maybe some mulch or dirt or things for your garden, you can have it outside and not have to worry about getting inside of your vehicle dirty. Also, if you're going on vacation and you have some coolers or some things that just take up a bunch of space and take space away from people, this is gonna be a great opportunity to add some real estate to your vehicle and still have all your cargo with you. Now, this has a 500 pound capacity on it, so you can load up quite a bit of stuff on here and it's gonna hold it great. Now, obviously, the main benefit of aluminum is that we're going to have a nice, lightweight carrier that's easy to get on and off the vehicle. If you've ever had or handled a steel cargo carrier, you know that they're extremely heavy and very cumbersome to get on and off. With the aluminum construction here, it's gonna be plenty strong enough for all your items, and it's gonna make getting on and off the vehicle that much easier on your back. more

The Swagman expands has two really good things about it. The first is if you do not have a hitch extender on your Ford Bronco and you still have the factory hitch, your options are very limited when it comes to accessories because of where your spare tire is. So if you don't have any of those and you're unable to get any of those this is probably gonna be one of your only options when it comes to a cargo carrier on your hitch. Believe me, I've tried a bunch of other bike racks and a bunch of other cargo carriers and this one fits. more

Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2022 BMW X3- Video
Hello neighbors, It's Brad here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look at the Curt Cargo Carrier on a 2022 BMW X3. When you have a SUV, it's really nice to haul around the family and be able to do a bunch of different activities, and sometimes, when you're going on longer road trips, you run out of space, or even if you're just having to do a bunch of around the town of errands, you may fill up that trunk pretty quick, that's where a cargo carrier comes into play. This adds a whole lot of real estate to your vehicle, and pretty much you can add up to 500 pounds on here, so even if you are picking up maybe some stuff from the hardware store that's heavy, or maybe some bags of dirt, and you don't want them inside your car, you can also use that and put it outside, and not have to worry about getting your car dirty. As far as dimensions go, this is 17 by 46, it's pretty good amount of real estate here, so if you're putting your camper or your cooler or anything else in the back, you can load it up, it's gonna doing great back here, it's also not gonna collect water with this open design, and there's going to be plenty of spots to attach a strap to strap that down, that's all open, so you can kinda make it your own. Few quick measurements, from the furthest point of the rear fascia to the furthest point on the cargo carrier, we're looking at right at about 25 inches, and so that's something to keep in mind, if you are planning on keeping this on your vehicle for a long time, and you're used to parking somewhere, just know that you do have that extra two foot hanging out. Something else that's important is gonna be your ground clearance. more

Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're gonna be taking a look at the CURT 17 by 46 hitch mounted cargo carrier here on our 2021 Toyota CHR. So the CHR is a rather small crossover type SUV therefore we don't have a ton of cargo space. Now, depending on where we're gonna be going and what we're gonna be taking with us, if we have a large family that we're gonna be going on a large road trip, we're obviously gonna need some extra space to carry our gear. Well, there's a couple of different options for this. People like to put them on the roof with a roof rack in a roof mounted cargo basket and that's a great option, but really the downside of that is you're gonna be lifting those heavy suitcases onto the roof of the vehicle there and then taking them off. It's gonna be a little cumbersome. more

Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're gonna be going over the Curt Cargo Carrier here on a 2021 Tesla model Y. So adding a cargo carrier to your model Y is gonna be an excellent option because it's gonna allow us to carry extra cargo which can be crucially valuable when we're taking those long road trips with the family, everyone's loaded up, space is certainly gonna be a minimum. So having a way to add extra cargo to our trip is gonna allow us to take all those items that we want with us. Now, and additionally a cargo carrier is a great option for storing those items that we don't necessarily want inside the vehicle. So in regards to the actual size of our carrier here, it's gonna be 17 inches wide by 46 inches across. So, we really have plenty of room there to carry everything we may need. more

Our carrier is going to be made mostly of aluminum. So it's going to be fairly light about 18 pounds. So if you're one that kind of struggles to either bend down or get this thing all hooked up to your hitch there's going to be a better one for you. It's not near as big as some of the other ones that we carry, but it still has plenty of room to get some coolers and bags and all that kind of stuff out of the car and onto the back to make more room. more

This is designed for two inch by two inch trailer hitch receivers and it has a 500 pound weight capacity. Now it seems kind of interesting to have a cargo basket on the back of a pickup that has a truck bed for cargo, but in this case, as we can see we have our generator loaded up. So this is great for things like this. Maybe we are going to have wet gear or gear that has mud on it. more

Hey, everybody, welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby, and today we're taking a look at our etrailer Aluminum Cargo Carrier on our 2021 Chevy Traverse. Right away we take a look, we have a nice aluminum cargo basket here and what that's gonna do, you know, we start getting our seats up, we start piling a lot of stuff in the back, road trips become excessive, we need a little extra room, the kids need a little extra room to breathe, we're gonna actually store our cargo in the back of our vehicle and that's going to be quite nice. Now this is made of a lightweight aluminum, that's gonna make it really nice and easy to install, very low weight. However, it's also gonna have a nice 500-pound capacity rating so you're not actually risking any of your weight capacity by going for the lightweight model. Now, with any hitch-mounted accessory, we are gonna add some length to our vehicle. more

Using a cargo carrier comes in really handy, especially if you're going to the lake for the weekend, taking a road trip, or just picking up something that's kind of big and awkward. It's definitely a good way to make more room for your passengers to ride comfortably.Our cargo carrier is going to work with 2-inch by 2-inch receiver tube openings. Luckily that's pretty common and most likely will work for your Volvo. more

etrailer Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2020 Mazda CX-5- Video
Andy: Hello everyone, Andy here from etrailer.com and today we are going to take a look at the etrailer, aluminum cargo carrier, on our 2020 Mazda CX-5. So, with this basket style carrier, it is a great addition to our CX-5. It is an aluminum construction, which makes it very easy to lift on and off, as well as keeping that quality and nice finish, it's going to last for many years to come. One thing that I really like about it as well, is how it is on the lower side, so if you happen to have those heavier items that you don't really want to lift up, let's say you had a cargo box on top of your car, you have the option of putting them in the basket right here. So, if you happen to have some muddy items like camping gear, maybe something that is a little on the heavier side as well, that you don't want to move in and out like a cooler, this would be a great choice.Also, as you can see, it gives us plenty of room in order to access our hatch here, as we'll do so now. And we have plenty of clearance. more

Andy: Hello everyone, Andy here with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at the etrailer steel folding cargo carrier on our 2020 Mazda CX-5. This cargo carrier is going to work great if you happen to have, let's say, those heavier items. It has lower walls here on the side, so that makes it a lot easier since you don't have to lift them way up over onto the cargo carrier, it does accommodate up to 500 pounds. What I also like is it has the mounting points for you to use fork blocks when it comes to hauling or moving your bikes as well.One of the nice things is the fold up feature about this. What we're going to do is just unlatch the two latches on the front and the rear, and you can move this into. more

If you happen to have some heavier items or let's say you're going on a trip to either the beach or on a camping trip, it will keep your interior free of any debris, mud, even possibly scratching some of those plastic pieces. It also frees up a ton of room for any extra passengers that you might have, as well.So this is a steel constructed cargo carrier. It does have a powder coat finish in black. more

Connor: Hey guys, Connor here today at etrailer.com. We're going to be going over the etrailer 24 by 60 Cargo Carrier here for our 2020 Jeep Wrangler. So this Cargo Carrier here is going to be an excellent option for our Jeep Wrangler. So our Jeep Wrangler is a two door, so we really don't have a whole lot of space here in the hatch. So if we need to take those long road trips, if we need to hit the trails, go camping or biking, whatever it is, we're going to have plenty of space here on our Cargo Carrier, to be able to allow us to carry more stuff to, and from our destination. MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Honda CR-V- Video
Clayton: Hi everybody, Clayton here at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the 27x47" MaxxTow Cargo Carrier on our 2014 Honda CRV. Our cargo carriers are great because it allows us to get any extra cargo or anything that's wet and dirty out of our vehicle, not only making room for our passengers, but also keeping our car clean. This cargo carrier is exclusively going to be for your scooters, wheelchairs, and lawnmowers, anything on wheels or bigger items, that's why we have this loading ramp. This loading ramp's really nice, secured with a hook and loop material strap that's extra long. All you have to do is pull our clips out on each side, and then we simply lift up on our ramp like so, and fold it out and set it down.This is going to give us plenty of room to roll or drive anything up onto the cargo carrier. more
