B and W Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 GMC Sierra 3500- Video

B and W Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 GMC Sierra 3500

Today on our 2017 GMC Sierra 3500 we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the B&W Turnoverball Underbed gooseneck trailer hitch with custom installation kit, part number BWGNRK1016. One of the really nice features of our B&W Gooseneck is that it actually doubles as a base for our companion fifth wheel. If you have a gooseneck and also maybe a fifth wheel trailer, you can pick up the companion fifth wheel that will fit right in here, and then within a few minutes you can go from having a gooseneck to a fifth wheel trailer. What I really like about our B&W gooseneck is that it utilizes a square shank on our ball, that way when we go to put it in, and we need to line up our latch pin, it's going to be that much easier just to drop it into place, and we don't have to worry about it rotating and not lining up with our pin. It's going to give us a 2 5/16 ball and two safety chain loops that are going to allow us to tow a gooseneck trailer down the road. The really nice thing about this is that when we're done towing and we need to have more bed access, we can actually remove the ball, and instead of leaving it open to allow dirt and debris to fall in we can actually turn the ball upside down and drop it back in place, and now we'll have full bed access and not have to worry about having the ball interfere with anything. To release our latch, if we come to our driver's side, there's going to be a small handle. I'm going to pull it out and just slightly turn it counterclockwise, and that will release our latch pin to secure our ball. more

Curt Ball and Safety Chain Loop Kit Installation - 2017 GMC Sierra 3500- Video

Curt Ball and Safety Chain Loop Kit Installation - 2017 GMC Sierra 3500

Today on our 2017 GMC Sierra 3500, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Ball and Safe Chain Loop Kit for Factory Chevy and GM Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitches, part number C60692. So here's what our ball mount and safety chain loops look like fully installed. Now this kit is for the factory prep package for GM and Chevrolet for our gooseneck or fifth-wheel trailer and this is gonna allow us to safely tow a gooseneck trailer down the road. Now the really nice thing about our kit here, is that since it is made specifically for the OEM prep package, this kit's going to install in less than five minutes, and then whenever you're done towing and you need to have your bed open so you can haul anything you may need, it'll uninstall and you can stow it away in less than five minutes as well. Each component of the kit is gonna use a different type of latching system. For instance, our ball here is gonna have a lever on top and if we rotate that, lift it up and rotate that lever, it's gonna loosen and take the tension off of our ball bearings here, which is what's gonna secure the ball to the mounting point in our bed. And again, to install it, we just lift up on that tab and we can turn the lever, which will allow the ball to fall back down, and then we can lock it into place. more

Reese Elite Series Under-Bed Gooseneck Hitch Installation - 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video

Reese Elite Series Under-Bed Gooseneck Hitch Installation - 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Today in our 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD we'll be having a look at and installing the Reese Elite Series Under-Bed Gooseneck Complete Hitch, Part Number RP30158-68. Here's what our Under-Bed Gooseneck and Fifth Wheel System looks like installed. Now what sets this system apart from other systems on the market is that this basically turns your truck from a non-factory prep package to a factory prep package. And what that means is if you had bought a truck off the lot that had the factory prep package installed, you would have these four pucks right here to drop in a Fifth Wheel or a Fifth Wheel slider into them. In the middle you would have your standard 2 5/16 Gooseneck ball that you can install into place for your Gooseneck trailer. If you didn't have the factory prep package on your truck when you bought it this basically converts it to it so you have the cleanest look and the most ease of use when you're using it to tow a Fifth Wheel or a Gooseneck trailer. The reason you want this particular system over others on the market is it does give you the versatility to tow a Gooseneck or a Fifth Wheel trailer, but yet gives you the cleanest look possible while making sure you still have your maximum amount of bed space available to you so when you're not towing a trailer, if you need to use your bed for hauling construction supplies, moving around gravel or rocks or anything of that nature, you still have the maximum amount of room. Everything installed in the system is mounted underneath the bed of the truck so it doesn't take up any of your bed space at all. Now when you're not towing a Fifth Wheel trailer, you can cover up the pucks with the included plugs. more

Today on our 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the B&W turnover ball under bed gooseneck installation kit. Part number is BWGNRK1067. Now here you can see our hitch installed of course when it's not ready for use. This is a great benefit of the under bed style gooseneck ball mounts, is that we don't have that ball that sticks up in the middle of our be taking up space, and can a lot of times be hard to work around. These are designed to sit flush with the bottom of the bed. The safety chains might be a little bit higher, but it's so insignificant it's not really going to make a difference there. And when ready for use, our ball stores right in the gooseneck so we don't have to store it or look for it. more

Part number is C60712. Here's what our gooseneck is going to look like installed and not in use. That's one of the biggest advantages to the flip and store system is that we're able to use our bed completely when not in use. We're not like the old school style where we just had a ball always sticking up in the middle of the bed. When we're ready for use, we're going to pull the black rubberized protective cap off. That keeps out any dirt, grime, stuff like that. more

Today on our 2017 GMC Sierra 3500 we'll be having a look at and installing the Reese Elite Series Under Bed Gooseneck Complete Hitch, part number RP30158-68. Here's what our under bed gooseneck hitch looks like installed. In the middle here, we have the spot for our gooseneck ball, then we have these four pucks outside of our gooseneck ball area. These are where we can hook up our fifth wheel or other accessory that utilizes those, such as a Reese Elite Fifth Wheel Head. It'll drop right down into these pucks, and then we can tow a fifth wheel trailer or a gooseneck trailer without having to have any adapters above the bed of our truck. This gives us a nice clean look. Everything sits underneath the bed, so if we still need to use our truck as a truck, we don't have any worries about not being able to have full access of our bed. more

Today on our 2017 Ford F350, we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch with Custom Installation Kit, part number is BWGNRK1117. As far as the installation process on this, it's a really straightforward install. The parts come in sections rather than these being solid rails. They're much easier to get in than previous models. You've got custom side plates, they're going to come to the custom crossmember brackets into the crossmember, and then finally into the center section here. Everything's pretty accessible and torquing it down is actually easier on this type of fifth wheel than what we've had in years past, so it makes it really nice, a little bit easier to do at home. The release handle is going to be here in the driver side wheel well. That's something you're just going to pull straight out and then forward. more

It's gonna have a heat treated two in 5/16 ball and it's gonna be right here and it's gonna have full access to make it easy when you need to hook up your trailer. Now, when you're not ready to tow or if you need to put anything in your bed, you can grab this ring here, which you can see is plenty big. I have gloves on and can still grab it. Now, when it's in the locked position the ball's going to not be able to come out, and that's the position we're going to use when we're towing. Now, in the unlocked position, we can remove the ball and we can flip it over. Now we have full access to our full bed. Today on our 2017 RAM 3500 we're going to be taking a look at the Reese Elite Series Pop-In Ball Kit for RAM Under-Bed Gooseneck Hitch, part number RP30140. And they're all going to go in, into our factory mounting point and the pucks are already existing in our bed. Now one of the really nice features of this system is that when the ball is locked into place, obviously you're not going to be able to take it out. Also, when we're not towing our trailer, our ball can be stored upside down so it doesn't take up any space in our bed as well. Our gooseneck system that we have installed with its 2 5/16" ball has a 7,500 pound vertical load limit, that's the amount pushing down. And then a 30,000 pound max gross trailer weight rating, which is the amount that we can pull. When we're not hooked up to our trailer, we can actually store our ball upside down in the gooseneck head so it's readily available and doesn't take up any of our truck bed space so we can still store stuff in our truck bed and not lose any of that valuable space. more

As you can see, we're still going to have full bed access even with it installed, because all you're going to see is your safety chain connection points and then your cut-out here for where the ball's going to go. Not only is this gooseneck hitch going to allow you to tow gooseneck trailers, but when used with the B&W 5th Wheel companion adapter, it's going to allow you to tow fifth wheel trailers as well, and that's one of the things that sets this gooseneck hitch apart from some of the others that are available for it. This is going to give us a 2-5/16 ball in the bed of our truck to attach to, and it's a solid steel construction so it's going to be nice and durable. It's nice and easy to slide in, and it's got a square design. You know what's nice is here around the edges it's got the cut-outs, and what that does there at the corners is allow dirt, grime, and debris to fall down through and not collect in there and cause a problem with getting your ball in and out in order to flip it over. more

B and W Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Ram 2500

Today on our 2016 Ram 2500, we'll be installing the B and W turnover ball, under bed, gooseneck trailer hitch with custom installation kit. Part number BWGNRK1384. This 2-5/16" gooseneck ball coupled with the B and W kit is capable of towing of 30,000 pounds with a 7,500 pound vertical load limit. Obviously, you'll want to consult with your owner's manual of your truck, and find out what it is capable of towing before you attempt to tow a load that heavy. The ball is constructed of a durable steel construction, which will give you many years of service. When we want to remove our ball, or if our truck of is capable of having the ball stored upside down, all we need to do is pull the handle out towards us, and towards the front of the truck. As you can see, it latches in this position for us to remove the ball. When we're ready to put the ball back in, just push towards the rear of the truck and it spring loads itself into the lock position. Here's what our hitch comes with. more

Today in our 2014 Ford F150, we'll be installing the Draw-Tite Hide-A-Goose Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch with installation kit part number 9465-37. Now there's a pinhole or guide on towards the passenger side of our gooseneck, and our ball slides along that. We can drop our ball in place like that, and to secure it we just push the handle towards the back of the truck. Now the nice feature about this hitch is we can store our ball by pulling out on it once the handle's been released. Once it's flipped upside down we can insert it back into our gooseneck. If we really want to, we can put our magnet cover over it, give it a nice clean look and that'll keep any dirt or debris from going down inside there. When we're ready to tow again we just release our handle, remove our cover, our ball has a nice grip here on it. We just pull up on it, pull the back around, and re-secure your pin underneath. Hook up our safety chain loops. more

Here's what it looks like once it's installed on the vehicle. As you can see, we've got the gooseneck ball here. This is a 2-5/16th inch ball. It's a solid construction ball so it's going to be really nice and heavy-duty. That, along with the overall design of this, helps to give it a 7,500 pound vertical load limit and a 30,000 pound max towing capacity. One of the best features about this is that you're able to flip the ball over and store it away. That way it's a hitch when you need it and a level bed when you don't. more

Today on our 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the B and W turnover ball underbed gooseneck trailer hitch with custom installation kit, part number BWGNRK1067. Here's what it's going to look like once it's installed on your vehicle. As you can see, we've got the ball right here for the gooseneck hitch and that's about all you really have that's in the bed. When you're using your hitch if you're, say camping or traveling or anything like that, you can still put some other things in the bed around it because you're not going to have the set of rails that's up top and the big fifth wheel; you're just going to have this ball right here in the center. It's going to be a lot more convenient for you. In order to lock and unlock the ball in place, you pull out on this handle and turn it clockwise and it'll stay in the unlocked position. Then when you're ready to lock your ball back into the hitch, whether the up or down position, simply pull out on it, straighten it out, and let it pull back in and latch that ball in place. more

Now we have a 2 and 5/16ths ball to hook up to our gooseneck trailer. We have our spring-loaded safety chains we hook up to, and when we're not towing our trailer they fall down nicely in the grooves of our bed liner here. They won't stick up to damage our cargo. Now, normally, on most B&W gooseneck applications, you can take the ball and flip it upside-down for storage position. more

Pro Series 25K Gooseneck Plate Installation - 2008 Ford F-350- Video

Pro Series 25K Gooseneck Plate Installation - 2008 Ford F-350

Today in our 2008 Ford F-350, we'll be installing the Pro Series 25K Gooseneck Plate for Fifth Wheel Rails, part number 49080. Now a great feature about having this adapter verses an under-bed gooseneck mount, is if you have a lot of trailers that you have to tow that are either gooseneck or fifth wheel, you are able to do that easily just by pulling the pins, removing it, and switching out your adapter to a fifth wheel. Removing it is as simple as pulling our clip, pulling our pin out, doing that on all four corners, and lifting it out. Once we have it back in place, when we're hooking it onto a different trailer or hooking our gooseneck back up, reinsert the pin, reinstall the clip just like that. Now you may notice right here we have our loops that go through here where we can wrap our safety chains through and connect our safety chains from our trailer together. We have one here on the front and one at the back because this adapter, if we need to bring our trailer closer to the cab of our truck, you notice it's offset. We can just flip it 180 degrees and reinstall our clips. Now this Pro Series Gooseneck Adapter has a 25,000 pound max gross trailer weight rating and a 6,250 pound max gross tongue weight rating. Here's what our gooseneck adapter plate comes with. Obviously we have our gooseneck adapter plate here, which comes with a 2-5/16 inch ball. When you flip this around you just want to make sure your ball is not behind your rear axle. more

Today my 2016 GMC 2500, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the BMW turnover ball under bed gooseneck trailer hitch with custom install kit, part number BWGNRK1016. Here's what it's going to look like once it's installed. Now we can pull the pin from the driver's side fender well and we'll pull the ball up, we can flip it over, drop it back down and stow it away. A nice feature about this is it's got these spring loaded safety chain hold downs. When they're not in use it'll be pretty flush to the floor. When you want to flip over your ball, you're going to pull out on this and pull it to the front, that locks it in the open position. Once you flip the ball over, pull out, push it to the back, release it and that locks the ball back into position. Now with the BMW side plate, it's going to use factory weld nuts to attach so there's going to be no drilling or having to fish any wires or nuts inside our frame. more

Today on our 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Draw-Tite Hide-A-Goose Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Installation Kit part number 946435. Here's what this gooseneck is going to look like once it's installed on the truck. As you can see there's not a whole lot of visible up here in the bed except for the ball itself and then the safety chain loops here which are spring-loaded so when not in use they suck back down and being in the lower section of bed corrugation they stay pretty low and flush to make sure that they don't interfere with the use of your bed. Overall, this gooseneck is a really nice heavy-duty gooseneck hitch that has a 30,000lbs capacity and 7,500lbs vertical load limit so it's definitely going to be able haul just about whatever gooseneck trailer you're going to need to pull as long as your truck is rated for it. I like the way that this hitch is constructed because it's nice and it's really going to get the job done for anything you need to do. Also, the hole that needs to be drilled in the bed is a little bit smaller than those on some of the other goosenecks that are able to hide the ball. That's just going to help cut down on the area that needs to be cut out and help for a little bit cleaner look. more

Part number BWGNRK1394. You can also use adapters for fifth wheels, part number BWRVK3500, or part number BWRVK3400. Some things that sets this set up apart from some of the other gooseneck hitches is that this one, with it being able to turn over here, it does help maintain a nice clean look, but you also don't have to keep the ball some place else. You can keep it right here so then when you need it, you can simply unlatch it, pull up using this little tab here and flip it over. Here's what this gooseneck hitch looks like from underneath the truck once it's installed. As you can see, it's nicely sitting on top of the frame rails and that's about as low as it's going to go except when the ball sticks out. It may come down just a little bit further. more
