Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs Installation - 2012 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty

Speaker 1: Today on our 2012 Ford F-250 Super Duty, we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install, the AirLift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Plus Air Springs with Internal Bumpers, part number AL89396.What these are going to do for you, is when you're hauling a fifth wheel, gooseneck, heavy load in the back of the truck, and the back of your vehicle sags; what these are going to do, is these are going to allow you to raise your vehicle back up to factory ride height. It's much safer when you're traveling, or towing something.Another great thing about these, is you can air these up individually. So that if you have a load that is off-centered, or is weighted more on one side, you can air up one bag a little bit more than the other to bring your vehicle back to level. One thing I really like about these air bags, is even though they replace your factory bump-stops, they're going to have internal bumpers. They're going to help provide that adjustable load support of the air springs and give you the reliability of the jounce springs, so they're going to give you the best of both worlds there. And our bags are going to be constructed of a 2-ply fabric reinforced rubber, so they're going to be really durable, and last long time. This is what our fittings look like installed on our bumper. It's completely up to you where you install them. This is where I chose to install them. more

Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement Installation - 2012 Ford F-250- Video

Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement Installation - 2012 Ford F-250

Speaker 1: Today on our 2012 Ford F-250, you're going to be taking a look at, and I'm going to show you how to install, the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System, part number TFRTT350F.Before we install our suspension enhancement, what we want to do is we want to take a measurement to find our normal ride height. Now even though we're not going to be able to adjust the suspension enhancement system we're putting in, we do want to find out how much of an advantage it's giving us, or how much it's helping us out when we have weight added on to it. So we're going to take a measurement here in the back, and what we want to do is go from the ground up to the center of the wheel to the bottom edge, and looks like we're about 41 1/2.Now we've added about 1000 pounds of weight to the back of the truck, let's see how much it dropped. We'll take another measurement, again ground center of the wheel, lower edge of the fender here, it looks like we're at about 39 1/2. So we've dropped 2 inches in the back. The extra weight will put unnecessary stress on our factory suspension. It can also cause excessive tire wear, and effect breaking and steering. Now with the new enhancement springs installed, weight put back in the truck, let's go ahead and take another measurement and see how much it's helped us out. more

Air Lift LoadLifter 7500 XL Air Helper Springs Installation - 2012 Ford F-350 Super Duty- Video

Air Lift LoadLifter 7500 XL Air Helper Springs Installation - 2012 Ford F-350 Super Duty

Speaker 1: Today on this 2012 Ford F350, we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Airlift load lifter 7500XL air helper springs, part number AL57596.Now here's what our air bags look like installed. These airbags are great solution for those of you who are towing a heavy trailer such as a gooseneck or a fifth wheel or even a standard trailer with high tongue weight. Or are carrying a large amount of weight in the bed of your truck. This will allow you to maintain your factory ride height and have your braking and steering ability be the same as if you didn't have a heavy load in the bed of your truck. This will allow your front brakes to work better and maintain your steering and handling abilities, that way you don't have to worry about having poor control of your truck because you don't have the proper amount of weight over the front axle. These airbags will help support up to 7,500 pounds of weight. They're not going to increase your gross vehicle weight rating by 7,500 pounds of weight. more

Best 2012 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty Suspension Enhancement Options- Video

Best 2012 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty Suspension Enhancement Options

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best suspension enhancements for your 2012 Ford F-150, F-250, and F-350. Here we're going to have a leaf spring style helper spring, followed by our air bag helper springs, and then over here we're going to have a jounce style helper spring, and this is going to be our lower overload helper spring, and then finally on the end, this is going to be our upper overload helper springs. Now each one of our types of suspension enhancements are going to do the same thing. When we're carrying a heavy load, or hauling a heavy trailer, they're going to prevent the back end of our truck from sagging, causing more strain on our suspension as well as lifting up the front end, creating less contact for our tires and not a safe driving condition. They're all going to help prevent all of those things from happening, so let's take a closer look at some of the benefits from each one.Now our helper leaf springs here are not only going to give us that load leveling support, but they're also going to give us a little bit of anti sway because of the way they're going to mount. Our leaf spring style helper springs are going to mount to our factory leaf springs. They're going to activate our lower overload springs to help evenly distribute weight ensuring the truck stays level for better handling and it's going to reduce side to side sway and body roll. With our leaf spring helper springs, there is a little bit of customization. more

Firestone Ride-Rite Rear Air Helper Springs Installation - 2012 Ford F-250- Video

Firestone Ride-Rite Rear Air Helper Springs Installation - 2012 Ford F-250

Today in our 2012 Ford F-250, we'll be having a look at, and installing, the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs for the rear axle, part number F2597. Now, here's what our air springs look like installed. This will raise our vehicle back up to the factory ride height to allow our vehicle stock suspension in order to do its job properly. Now, even though these support up to 5,000 pounds of weight carrying capacity, they don't increase your vehicle's weight capacity, or gross vehicle weight rating, by 5,000 pounds. You'll still want to follow, and not exceed, the manufacturer's recommendations for the vehicle. Now, our airbags are inflated via standard inflation valve. As you see we only have one, because we use a union 00:00:42 on this truck, so we can air both airbags up just off one fitting. more

Today in our 2012 Ford F350 Super Duty, we'll be installing the Firestone Ride Right Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper with springs. Part number F2703. All right, now before we get started with our airbag install here, we want to get a couple measurements of what our truck is at factory ride height with no weight in the bed at all. This'll give us a good ideal comparison of what the airbags are going to do for us once they're installed and we have a large amount of weight in the bed of a truck. Let's go through the center line of the rear wheel here up to the fender well. We're about 44 inches, so we'll keep that in mind for our comparison. We'll do the same on the front. Okay, in the front here we're about 41 inches. more

Air Lift LoadLifter Air Helper Springs Installation - 2012 Ford F-250

Today on this 2012 Ford F-250 Super Duty we're going to review and install the Air Lift Loadlifter 5000, part number AL88396. A few things to know about our Loadlifter system is that it does have a capacity rated for 5,000 pounds. This does not increase your weight carrying capacity, so double check your suspension rating on your vehicle to make sure you can handle that kind of load. Now on the inside of each spring, has jounce springs built into it. This engages a lower air pressure to better absorb your road shock and minimize bottoming out. Before we get started with our install, we'll go ahead and put some weight in the back of our truck and see how much it sags the truck down. We'll go ahead and take a look at the suspension as it works with the load without the air bags in place. more
