Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver Installation - 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Hey guys, it's Jake here with Etrailer. Today we have a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the DrawTite class four two inch hitch receiver. Adding a two inch hitch receiver to your Grand Cherokee is gonna allow you to do a couple different things. First off, a lot of people like to use, especially a hitch this heavy rated, they like to use their hitch to pull small trailers. And if you plan on doing that, I highly recommend installing a wiring harness on the back of your Jeep so that you can safely get those lights powered on your trailer. You can use it for cargo carriers, bike racks if you wanna mount a small winch on the back if you take your Grand Cherokee off road, some people do. more

Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Installation - 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're gonna be taking a look at the Draw-Tite Class III Trailer Hitch. So this is gonna be a class III, a two inch by two inch hitch receiver, and we're gonna have a max tongue weight of 500 pounds and a max gross trailer weight of 5,000 pounds. If we do use a weight distribution system with it, it'll actually send the tongue weight up to 750 pounds and the gross trailer weight up to 7,500 pounds. So if you don't have a weight distribution set up on your rig, we do have some here at etrailer. One thing that would go good with this is some wiring. So if you're hooking up to a trailer, whether it's just a small trailer or a big trailer, we do have hitch and wirings on our website. more

Curt Class III Trailer Hitch Installation - 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee we're gonna be taking a look at the Curt Class 3 Trailer Hitch. So this is a two inch hitch receiver and it's gonna give us about 500 pounds of tongue weight, 5,000 pounds of gross trailer weight. But if we use it with a weight distribution system on the trailer, that'll actually go up to 750 pounds tongue weight, and 7,500 pounds gross trailer weight. The nice thing about this one that sets it apart from some of the others, one, extremely easy to install. I didn't even need a lift or anything, I just got underneath there, four bolts and we're done. But also, as you can see, or can't see, there's no tubes on the side, so this is gonna be one of the more low profile options. more

So this hitch is a two inch receiver tube opening, and that's gonna allow you to carry whatever accessories you might want, whether it be your bike racks, your cargo carriers, or even a small ball hitch to tow a small trailer. You're also gonna notice the five-eights standard pin hole, and what that's gonna do is allow you to put your accessories in place, and potentially lock them. Now this is not included with the hitch, but we have those at etrailer. Hi there Jeep owners today in your 2015, Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install etrailer's, class three, two inch trailer hitch receiver. So it's going to be great for all of your towing needs, whether you're wanting to place accessories in it and it's such as a bike rack or cargo carrier and load them up to the max, or if you need to take along, a medium or a small sized trailer with you for the weekend. It uses a 5/8 inch hitch pin and clip. Now one doesn't come included with the hitch, but we have plenty available at etrailer.com here. On bottom, we have plate style safety chain loops, and it's got a medium to small size opening that should work with most of your medium and smaller size safety chains. If you do have larger safety chains, you're wanting to attach, we do have quick links available that will allow any safety chain to easily attach to those, by hoking this is onto your safety chain loop on your hitch.It features a 600 pound tongue weight, which is the force going down on top of the receiver, and that should be more than enough for a cargo carrier loaded to the max or a four bike platform rack fully loaded up as well. more

You can pick up a pin and clip on our website as part number PC3.Welded onto the bottom of our receiver and the frame of the hitch is our plate style safety chain loops where we can attach the safety chains from our trailer. These have a decent sized opening, so we shouldn't have much problem at all hooking on those safety chains.Welded on the back of our receiver, we have this nice collar here, which gives us a nice finished look and helps improve the strength of the opening of the receiver, giving a little bit more durability.This hitch features a 600 pound max tongue weight rating, which is the amount forcing down and a 6000 pound max gross trailer weight rating, which is the amount it can pull. It does support the use of weight distribution and when you're using that with your trailer, your tongue weight rating increases to 750 pounds and your max gross trailer weight rating increases to 7500 pounds. more

Today on our 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be having a look at and installing the Curt Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number C13065. Here's what our hitch looks like installed. As you can see, the only part of our hitch that is visible from behind our vehicle is the actual 2" receiver opening itself with our safety chain loops on the bottom. The main receiver of the hitch is hidden behind a rear fascia completely tucked up underneath the vehicle. Now, a few things that our customers have said about this hitch they really like is that it has a clean factory like appearance. I'll agree with them on that because it does look like a factory hitch on this vehicle. They like the fact that the receiver is the only part that is visible on it with their 00:00:45 frame being tucked up behind the fascia. more

Today in our 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be having a look at and installing the CURT class three trailer hitch receiver, part number C13182. Here's what our hitch looks like installed. We have a decent portion of our frame hanging down. But there's a good section of it that's hidden behind the rear fascia. We do have this stylish tubular construction to give it a very factory-like appearance and make it more aesthetically pleasing than having a square bar hanging down. on the side of our receiver here, we have our industry standard five-eighths of an inch diameter hitch pinhole to secure any of our hitch mounted accessories. Now towards the end of our receiver opening, we have this nice collar that is welded on to help give it a more pleasing appearance and to give it some extra strength and durability when we're towing a trailer. On the bottom here, we have our safety chain loop plate which is welded on to the bottom of the frame and the receiver. Now the opening is a little bit small so you have to make sure you have some smaller safety chain loops if you're planning on towing a trailer with this hitch. This hitch features a 5,000 pound max gross trailer weight rating and a 750 pound max gross tongue weight rating. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee - Draw-Tite- Video
Today on our 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee we'll be having a look at and installing the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Class 3 trailer hitch receiver, part number 75699. Our hitch is completely hidden behind our rear fascia of our vehicle. The only part that you'll see hanging down is our actual Class 3 2" receiver opening itself, with our safety chain loops, which are a rolled steel design welded onto the bottom of our receiver here. What I like about these, being a rolled steel design, you can clip in from the back, the side, or the front, giving you plenty of options depending on your safety chain configuration. This gives you the room to work with in order to get properly hooked up. This hitch is unique in the regards that there are two pin holes here. The larger one is our industry-standard 5/8" diameter pin hole, which you'll use to secure any of your hitch-mounted accessories with a pin and clip or a locking device. more

All right, here is what our hitch is going to look like installed. As you can see, our crosstube comes around here, meets in the middle at our receiver tube opening. This is 2 inch by 2 inch, nice flush looking reinforcement collar around the end there. You can see our safety chain connection's going to be kind of a plate style. Now here's what our hitch is going to look like once it's installed, as our square crosstube is hidden behind the rear fascia. That square crosstube is going to run into a fully welded construction for our receiver tube. On either side of our class three receiver tube is going to be our chain hold down. We've got a two-hole system. The larger closer to the front of the vehicle is the 5/8 pinhole for your pin or lock. more

It's got a nice black powder coated finish and that'll help resist rust and corrosion over time and really blends in nicely with the under body of the vehicle. Here on either side of the receiver tube is our chain hold down and our 5/8 pre-drilled pinhole that goes all the way through the receiver tube. This is our class 3 hitch and it's a 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube capable of up to 750 pounds of tongue weight and a 5,000 pound tow capacity. more
