Roadmaster Diode 7 to 6 Wire Coil Kit Installation - 2007 Chevrolet HHR- Video

Roadmaster Diode 7 to 6 Wire Coil Kit Installation - 2007 Chevrolet HHR

Today in our 2007 Chevrolet HHR, we'll be installing the Roadmaster Diode 7 wire to 6 wire flexo-coil wiring kit, part number RM-15267. Here's what a wiring kit comes with. Most importantly, we have our connector here. This will be our umbilical between our RV and our vehicle in tow. The 7 way goes towards the 7 way on the back of the RV, and the 6 way here will go to the front of our vehicle right here on this connector. This will allow us to have all of our lighting circuitry on the vehicle work in conjunction with the motor home, and because this uses diodes, there's no extra bulbs and sockets. more

Blue Ox Tow Bar Wiring Kit Installation - 2011 Chevrolet HHR

Today on our 2011 Chevrolet HHR, we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the Blue Ox 4-Diode Tow Bar Wiring Kit. Part number is BX8848. All right, here's what the diode kit's going to look like minus that 26' length of wire that we've already ran. Now the diodes are going to take two inputs, so we can have our towed vehicle's input and our towing vehicle's input, whether it's for running lights or whether it's for our turn signals or brakes. We have this single output coming to our factory bulb. We're going to have four of these. These are going to help to prevent backfeed from the motorhome to the car or from the car to the motorhome. more

Blue Ox Fuse ByPass Switch Installation - 2011 Chevrolet HHR- Video

Blue Ox Fuse ByPass Switch Installation - 2011 Chevrolet HHR

Today on our 2011 Chevrolet HHR we're going to be showing you to how to install the blue ox fuse bypass switch for towed vehicle. Excepting the ATM mini fuse and ten inches long, part number is bx88271. The blue ox fuse bypass is going to be an excellent solution for those vehicles where fuses need to be removed for it to go into tow mode. Essentially what we're going to do is just replace that fuse into the fuse bypass. Then when we turn our switch in the down position it would be just like pulling that fuse out of the power block. That's going to allow us to go into tow mode without pulling this whole panel off trying to figure out which fuse it is and pull it out. more

Tail Light Wiring Kit Installation - 2008 Chevrolet HHR

Today, on our 2008 Chevrolet HHR we're going to be installing the Hopkins tow bar wiring, part number HM56100. To begin our install, we're going to start at the rear of the vehicle. We need to open up the rear hatch and remove the access panels just behind the tail light assemblies. There's one on each side. I'm just going to use a flat blade screw driver, get behind it and pop it free. Behind the access panel, we can see the manufacturer's wiring as it comes into the tail light. Here from the converter box is our yellow wire connector that will ultimately plug in here behind the driver's side tail light assembly. more

Roadmaster Tow Bar Wiring Kit Installation - 2011 Chevrolet HHR

Today on this 2011 Chevrolet HHR we are going to install part number RM-154 from Roadmaster. This is their universal wiring kit. The first thing we need to do is go ahead and run the wires from front to rear with the 4-pole flat. And we are going to be using the big loop for that purpose. It has two ends on there. And we are just going to chop off one end and run that to the back. OK, we are going to start off by attaching our wire to the base plate of the vehicle itself. And we will allow for some extra length there in case we want to change over to a different type of connector. Go ahead and zip-tie that off and then work it towards the back of the vehicle. When we run it to the back we want to make sure that we stay away from anything moving like the suspension or anything that gets hot like the exhaust. Everybody will run there wire a different way, but those are the guidelines you want to go by. We need to run our wires to the inside of the body to get to our wire harness. So basically what we are going to do is this corner right here on the sheet metal is we are going to go ahead and drill a hole out. And we will install a grommet and then run our wires through the inside. 1:03 more
