Hello neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the Demco Air Force One Supplemental Braking System on a 2017 Ford F-150. Now this is going to be available in two different styles. First, you'll have the Wireless Coachlink which we will send the signal to the driver's seat of the RV to let you know when the brakes are being applied. The other option is going to be a wired LED light that will be mounted up by your rear view mirror, and that way you can see when it's illuminated also letting you know when the brakes are being applied. Now, this supplemental braking system will apply your towed vehicle's brakes in proportion to the braking action of your RV. Basically, the towed car's brakes are activated at the same time and with the same intensity as those in your motorhome. It is a truly proportional system, so it does use the air pressure from your RV's brakes to apply the brake pedal in your car. It does connect to the RV's air or the air over hydraulic brakes to sense when and how those brakes are applied, and it does ensure synchronize, reliable braking. more

So, a supplemental braking system is just gonna be one of the many things that you need in order to successfully flat tow your Jeep. Now, it is a legal requirement in nearly every state. And what the braking system is going to do is it's gonna be applying the brakes in our vehicle with the braking in our motorhome. That way, it can help us come to a much more safe and effective stop. Now, depending on the size of your motorhome and the size of your vehicle here, it can actually have a considerable effect on the motorhome's brakes because they're gonna be pushing you, especially if you do a lot of driving in the mountains. more

And that way you have a monitor system that you can mount on the dash of your RV, and be able to see it, and also hear it with its alarm when you're actually braking and your vehicle's braking. Hi there Buick owners. Today our 2021 Buick Encore GX, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's Invisibrake Supplemental Breaking System. And the main purpose of our supplemental breaking system is to apply the brake pedal here in our vehicle when we hit the brakes on our motor home. There's a clamp attached around our pedal here that comes in your kit, just clamp it around. And there's a pulley on the floor that goes to a cylinder that pulls the cable. Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look and installing the Roadmaster InvisiBrake proportional braking system for a flat tow setup on a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The InvisiBrake gets its name from the fact that a lot of it can be hidden once it's installed, and that's accomplished by actually mounting the module box that creates that vacuum underneath the seat. And this should give you plenty of clearance to where it's not gonna cause any issues. It's then run to a cylinder, which runs to a cable and pulley system, which will slow and stop the vehicle when brakes are applied or when your breakaway switch is pulled. more

Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Roadmaster InvisiBrake supplemental braking system here on your 2020 Ford Escape. So what does a braking system do Well, if you we're already aware, it's gonna be required in pretty much every state. And what it does is, it essentially takes the brakes on the motorhome and applies those to that on your towed vehicle. Hello neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Brake Buddy select three proportional breaking system and portable breaking system on a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. This is what our Brake Buddy looks like when it's installed and you can see it just uses a clamp to clamp out on the brake pedal and attached to that is gonna be an actuating arm. Now pretty easy when the brakes are applied on the RV, it's gonna apply the brakes on the vehicle as well. And that's gonna bring the towed vehicle to a slow or a stop proportional to what you are doing with the RV. It also has a breakaway switch, so in case of an accidental disconnect, it's gonna apply the brakes bringing the vehicle to a stop. more

Now essentially what it does is, it's going take the strain off the brakes in your motorhome, 'cause you're actually gonna be applying the brakes in your vehicle, each time you apply the brakes in the motorhome. So this is not only gonna reduce wear and tear on your motorhome, it's also gonna allow you to come to a much more smooth and effective stop. Hi there, Ram owners. Today on your 2021 Ram 1500, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Demco's Air Force One supplemental braking system. Demco's Air Force One supplemental braking system is going to be the ideal braking system if your motorhome has air brakes. This system was specifically design to work with motorhomes that have air brakes and will be a truly proportional braking system that will take that air pressure that's coming from your motorhome and use that pressure to give you a dynamic press of the pedal inside your vehicle here. So that means the harder you press the brakes in your motorhome, the harder the brakes are gonna apply here in the vehicle. So you get a very smooth response and with it being specifically designed for air brakes, that also means it's gonna work properly with your engine brake when you're braking. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look at the Brake Buddy 3 Portable Braking System on a 2021 Subaru Crosstrek. Now there are five required components when flat-towing a vehicle, and the first one, starting on the vehicle side is going to be the base plate. And the base plate attaches to the frame of the vehicle and that's gonna allow for all your connection points for your other components. Now, going along with that you see our tow bar here is actually attached to that base plate, and that's gonna make that connection between the vehicle and the RV. Next, you have your safety chains and that's gonna attach to the loops on your base plate and also to the side of the camper and that way, if they do become disconnected for whatever reason, these chains are gonna hold this in place. more

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer today on our 2017 Subaru Cross Trek. We're gonna be showing you how to install the Road Master Brake-Lite Relay for towed vehicles. But before we do that, why don't we check it out and I'll show you how it works So the whole point of a brake light relay is to make sure that everything is good to work properly, in regards to the lights on the back of your Subaru, so what happens, is whenever you're hooked up to your motor home, and this is a scenario if you we're not to have the brake light relay, all right So if you're hooked up to your motor home and let's just say, you're on the brakes and using your turn signal at the same time. So maybe, just to kind of give us an example here, if you're approaching a stoplight and gonna be making a left turn. So, we've put a blinker on, get over into that turn lane and then hit the brakes and we're sitting there at the stop sign or the red light. What will happen is, that brake light will override your turn signal, okay. more

So now that you've got your new motor home and you're planning on traveling across the US and seeing a bunch of things, you know that you don't wanna drive this thing everywhere. It's gonna be kind of a pain to drive through a fast food drive-thru and stuff like that so you wanna bring a vehicle along with you to make your travels a lot more enjoyable. When you're doing that, you are gonna need a slew of things to be able to bring a vehicle behind your motor home, such as a tow bar, a base plate, and a lighting solution, such as diode wiring. But the braking system probably can be a little bit intimidating 'cause there's a lot of different options and they are specific for various options that's on your motor home and your vehicle. more

All right, hi there, Jeep owners, 2021 Jeep gladiator we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Brake Buddy's Stealth supplemental braking system. So here you can see the connector that comes with our Brake Buddy Stealth system. This is going to be a proprietary connector, and it's going to have everything integrated into it. Brake Buddy's Stealth has tried to take everything for your flat tone, make it everything that you need, kind of all in one package. And they do an okay job of that, they do hit most of the areas of things that you need, but they made it proprietary, and honestly, it just didn't work as well as I hoped it would in the end. I actually had to put two main harnesses on this to even make it work properly. more
