Today on our 2017 Toyota Camry, we're doing a test fit of the Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket. This is 41 and 1/2 inches long, by 37 inches wide, by 4 inches deep. It has a weight capacity of 150 pounds. Now, you do want to check with your vehicle's owners manual. Make sure your roof can withstand that much weight. The part number for this is C18115. Thule Roof Basket Review - 2017 Toyota Camry- Video
Today on our 2017 Toyota Camry we're doing a test fit of the Thule Canyon XT Roof Mounted Cargo Basket. This is 49" by 40" by 6" deep and it has a 150-lb weight capacity, although it does have that weight capacity, you do want to check your vehicle's owners manual to see if it can withstand that much weight. The part number for this is TH859XT. We already have 3 of our 4 mounts secured down in place, we're going to show you our last 1 here. I've gone ahead and adjusted our brackets using the included tool to loosen up our 2 bolts there. Adjust these for our crossbar spread and then tighten them down. A great thing about this basket is that it does come with 3 different sets of hardware, small, medium, and large. more

Rhino Rack Roof Basket Review - 2016 Toyota RAV4- Video
Today on our 2016 Toyota Rav4, we'll be doing a test fit on the Rhino Rack roof mounted cargo basket, that's part number RMCB. I've already got it loaded up on the Rav4, just to give you a good idea of what it looks like. It measures 47 inches long, about 35 1/2 inches wide, and 5 1/2 inches deep. Now, when loading up anything on the roof of your vehicle, it's always a good idea to check and make sure you can still open up your rear hatch. As you can see, with the way we have it set up on our roof rack system, we're not going to have that problem. A few things to know about this roof mounted cargo basket, is it's a tubular construction, it's going to be able to free up the inside of our vehicle for more passengers and pets. Up here, we've got a nice fairing, so it's going to reduce that wind drag and noise while we're on the road. more

Today on our 2016 Toyota RAV4, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Curt Roof Mounted Basket. That's part number C18115. It measures 41 and 1/2 inches long, 37 inches wide, and 4 inches deep. If you'd like to pick up an extension for the Curt basket here you can pick one up sold separately, part number C18117. What that's going to do is it's going add an extra 21 inches here at the center. So if you feel the need to pick up an extension go ahead and do so. Like anything else that you might put on the roof of your RAV4 you always want to be sure you leave enough clearance so you can open up your rear hatch. more

Thule Roof Basket Review - 2015 Toyota Highlander- Video
Today on our 2015 Toyota Highlander, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Cannon XT Rooftop Cargo Basket, part number TH859-XT. This has a carrying capacity of 150 pounds, although you want to double check with your manufacturer's recommendations to make sure your car can withstand the weight on the roof. It measures 49 inches long by 40 inches wide by 6 tall at its highest point. Its aerodynamic shape and fairing that is include also cuts down wind noise and drag while you're driving. With it installed in this position, you're not going to face any clearance issues between the hatch and the cargo basket itself. It's very easy to install. It simply just clamps around your roof rack system with these two knobs and this U-bolt. more

Today on our 2012 Toyota 4 Runner we'll be doing a test fit on the Thule Canyon XT Roof Cargo Basket with extension. That's part number TH859XT-8591XT. It measures 69 inches long, 40 inches wide, by 6 inches deep. You also have the option to remove the center extension which will reduce the whole total length by 20 inches. So if you chose not to have something as long you have the option to take that out. A few other feature to point out about this cargo basket, it's low profile rather than that boxier look that most cargo baskets have. more

Rhino Rack Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2012 Toyota 4Runner- Video
Today on our 2012 Toyota 4Runner, we'll be doing a test fit on the Rhino-Rack Roof Cargo Tray for Aero-Style Crossbars, part number RRRPBH-S280. It's 59 inches long by 25 inches wide. It's low-profile deign is going to help your vehicle maintain that overhead clearance. When strapping down and loading up your cargo, you just want to be sure and check with your vehicle's owner's manual to see how much your roof can carry. To begin our test fit, I'd like to point out that in addition to fitting our aero-style crossbars, it's going to fit the elliptical style and most factory roof rack systems as well. I've already got 3 of the clamps installed as you can see. Let's go ahead and do the 4th one together. What we'll do is we'll take the top portion of the clamp. We're going to put that just like that, and then we'll take the bottom plate. more

Today on our 2012 Toyota 4runner we'll be doing a test fit on the Kuat Skinny Roof Cargo Basket and Bike Rack, part number SK01. It measures 82 inches long by 23 inches wide and has 160 pound weight capacity. To begin our test here, I would like to point out that this roof basket is going to fit your round, square, arrow, elliptical and most factory roof rack systems as well. You need to be sure you have a cross bar 00:00:23 spread between 20 and 36 inches. We've got about 28 here today. With it installed I would like to point out that we still have full access with our rear hatch. As you can see I've got it installed on one side of the roof rack. more

It's going to be 49 inches long, 40 inches wide, 6 inches deep, and with a sturdy steel construction it's going to offer a 150 pound weight capacity. As you can see, we've already got three of the feet in place, two on the front and one on the rear. It's going to be mounted to the Thule AeroBlades but keep in mind that it does come with different u-hooks or u-bolts, such as these, to figure different roof rack systems. You'll place two of your wingnuts on the u-bolt with two washers on it as well. We'll then go ahead and adjust it by using the two Allen screws that are on each feet. more

SportRack Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Toyota RAV4- Video
Today on our 2015 Toyota Rav4, we're going to be doing a test rate of the Sport Rack Vista, roof top mount and cargo basket. This cargo basket is going to be 44 inches long, 39 and 1/8 inches wide, have a depth of 6 inches, and with it's sturdy steel construction it's going to offer a 110 pound weight capacity. It does have the option of being extended if you wish. It's going to be part number SR9035. As you can see, we've already got three of the feet in place, two on the front and one on the back bar here. This roof rack system will fit most all of your roof rack systems with it's long U-bolt system they use to secure it down. We're going to go ahead and show you how to put on the last foot since they all go on the same way. Take your metal U-shaped bracket, place it over the top of your spacer block, that's in between your basket and your cross bar. more

Today on our 2013 Toyota Prius C we are doing a test fit of the Thule Canyon Roof Mounted Cargo Basket at 49 x 40 x 6 inches, it has a 150 pound weight capacity. The part number for that is TH859. Now we already have our brackets in place here - our metal brackets. We've got three of our clamps on and secured down with covers so we will just show you how to do this back one. So we have moved our foot into place. We have just used a tool like an Allen Key and moved those to adjust around our bars. So we just place this on making sure that our washers are sitting right above here. more

Today on our 2012 Toyota 4Runner we're going to be doing a test fit of the Surco Safari 5.0 cargo carrier. This is going to be your roof mounted basket. It's going to be 50 inches long, 45 inches wide, have a depth of 5 inches, have a sturdy steel construction, and it's going to have a 250 pound weight capacity. It's going to be Part Number SPS4550-1101. The first thing with this rack is you're going to get it and you're going to have your feet separate. You're going to need to lay the basket up on your rack to determine your crossbar spread. Then you'll slide your feet on like so and get them spaced out evenly across your vehicle. more

SportRack Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2012 Toyota 4Runner- Video
Today on our 2012 Toyota 4Runner, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Sport Rack Vista Roof Rack Mounted Cargo Basket. It's going to be part number SR9035. It's 44 inches long by 39 and 1/8 inches wide, 6 inches deep and has a 130 pound or excuse me a 110 pound weight capacity. It has a sturdy steel construction and as you can see we have it up here on top of our aero bars and we already have 3 of the feet mounted. We're going to show you how to mount that last foot because all of them are the same. To do so, the first thing you're going to do is place the plastic spacer in between the bar and the rack at your desired location when you have your other ones or equal to where you want it. Next you'll take the metal U shape bracket like so with the 2 holes on either side. more

Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Cargo Basket Review - 2013 Toyota Tacoma- Video
Today on our 2013 Toyota Tacoma, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima Load Warrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket, part number Y07070. With our Yakima Cue Towers roof rack system already installed on the Tacoma, and the Load Warrier assembled according to the manufacturers instructions, we will need to remove the T-bolt from the slot in the lower portion of our clamp on all four of our clamp points. We'll begin by placing our cargo basket directly onto our crossbars. We can then maneuver the basket so the top portion of our clamp is resting on top of our crossbars. We'll do this on both sides so all four of our clamps are sitting on top of our crossbars. We'll then take a quick look to be sure we have our basket centered. We can then re-insert the T-bolt into the appropriate slot on the lower portion of our clamp, and tighten down both wing nuts to secure it. more

With our Thule Rapid Traverse Roof Rack System already installed on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing our cargo basket directly onto our load bars. We'll then go around to each of the four clamps and remove one of the wing nuts and the bolts. We'll want to make sure we do these all on the same side of the clamp. We'll then move our basket to where the upper portion of our clamp is resting on top of our load bars. Take a quick look to be sure we have it centered, then bring the lower portion of the clamp around the underside of our load bars, reinstall our bolt and our wing nut. We'll then tighten down both wing nuts on each clamp. Once we have all eight of our wing nuts tight, we'll then take the black plastic covers, slide them over and push down on them until they clip into place. more

Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Cargo Basket Review - 2014 Toyota Sienna- Video
Today on our 2014 Toyota Sienna, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima Load Warrior, a roof rack cargo basket with part number Y07070. With our Yakima Rail Grab roof rack system already installed on the Sienna, we'll begin our test fit by placing our cargo basket directly onto our cross bars. We'll then go around to each of the four clamps and remove the T bolt from the lower portion of the clamp, then place the upper portion of the clamps directly on top of our cross bars, bring the lower portion around the bottom, reinsert the T bolt. We can then tighten down both wing nuts to secure our clamp. We'll then move to the three remaining clamps and repeat that same tightening process. With all four of our clamps nice and secure, we're ready to load this basket up with some gear and we can hit the road. That will complete today's test fit of the Yakima Load Warrior, part number Y07070 on our 2014 Toyota Sienna. more

Thule MOAB Roof Top Cargo Basket Review - 2014 Toyota Yaris- Video
Today on our 2014 Toyota Yaris we're going to be test fitting the Thule Moab, a rooftop cargo carrier called "the mother of all baskets." Part number TH690XT. With our Thule Rapid Traverse Roof Rack System already installed on the Yaris and our Moab already assembled according to the manufacturer's instructions, we'll begin our test fit by placing the basket directly onto our load bars. We'll place it with the clamps either in front of or behind our load bars. In this case, we've done them in front. This will allow us to slide it into position once we have our clamps separated. We'll remove one of the wing nuts and bolts from each of the four clamps, slide our basket into position, bring the lower portion of our clamp around the underside of our load bar, reinsert the bolt, secure it with a wing nut, and then tighten both wing nuts down. Just like that our basket's installed and we're ready to load it up and hit the road. more

Today on our 2012 Toyota Yaris we will be test fitting the Tule Moab Rooftop Cargo Carrier, also known as The Mother of all Baskets; part number TH690XT. With a Tule Aeroblade Roof Rack system assembled on to our vehicle, we will begin our test fit by placing our carrier directly on to our load bars. We will position it the way that we prefer and then bring the clamps around the load bars. We'll feed the bolt up through the bracket and tighten with a wing nut. We will repeat the same process for the other three clamps. Once all the clamps are tight and our cargo carrier is secured to our roof rack, we can then make our way around installing the plastic covers. more

Today on our 2012 Toyota Sienna we'll be test-fitting the Thule Moab Rooftop Cargo Carrier, part number TH690. Now our vehicle's already equipped with a roof rack system, so we're ready to begin installing the basket. We'll place the basket on top of the crossbars where we'll then center it with the vehicle. Once we have the basket where we want it on the vehicle we'll use the included hardware to go underneath the crossbars and clamp it to the vehicle. With all our hardware tight our basket is clamped to the vehicle. We can then install the hardware covers and with the covers installed our basket is secured to the vehicle and we're ready to load it up. more

Today on our 2012 Toyota Highlander, we're going to be test fitting the Thule MOAB Roof Mounted Cargo Basket, part number TH690. To mount the basket, we'll set it up on top of our load bars. We'll make sure that it's spaced evenly on both the driver and passenger's side. Once we have our basket in the position, we'll fit the clamps from the underside and tighten them down from above with the wing nuts. After we've tightened down all four clamps, we can install our covers over the hardware. And with that our basket is installed and we're ready to load up. more

Today on this 2003 Toyota RAV4, were going to be test fitting the Thule MOAB roof-mounted cargo basket, part number TH690. Our RAV4 is equipped with a factory roof rack, so were ready to go ahead and drop our basket into place. Weve already got it assembled according to the instructions so the next thing to do is lift it up on top of our roof rack. Well set the top halves of the clamp over our crossbars. Well make sure that the basket is positioned evenly from left to right. Well take the lower clamp, fit it around the bottom of our crossbar, and use the wing nuts to tighten the clamps down. more

Today on this 2012 Toyota Sequoia, well be test fitting the Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket, part number Y07070. With our basket already preassembled and our vehicle equipped with the manufacturers roof rack system, we can go ahead and set the basket directly into position on top of the roof rack. After we get the cargo basket on top of the rack and centered, well go ahead and use the clamps to secure the basket on the roof rack. At this time, well just run our fasteners down finger tight to secure the carrier on top of the rack. Now, well go ahead and make sure our basket is centered on the load bars and then well go back and tighten two of the fasteners to secure the basket to the roof rack. And there you have it. more

First, we'll install our fasteners to secure the clumps around the load bars. Once we install them, we'll just run them down finger tight.
