Today we're going to be taking a look at the Valterra Brass Diverter Check Valve. This unit can be used for many applications, but most commonly used as a replacement for bypass kits when it comes to winterizing your RV water system. This unit's made from a durable brass construction. It's going to feature a lead free design. Also features a fresh water backflow preventer. Just to go over the different connection points real quick, on this end you're going to have the 1/2 inch FPT or female pipe thread connection, and then the other two are 1/2 inch MPTs, which is male pipe thread connections. The lever is the diverter, so that diverts the flow from this connection to this connection. more

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Valterra seasonal RV water heater bypass kit. This kit is designed to provide seasonal bypass of the RV water heater. It's a completely lead-free design. What this does is it simply reduces the amount of non-toxic antifreeze needed to winterize your RV by six gallons or more each year. Installation is pretty straightforward, it's very simple, but it does require good access to the rear of the water heater. It's going to come with two brand-new plastic nipples. Valterra RV Fresh Water - Heating Elements and Pads - W01-1572 Review- Video

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Valterra Self Regulating Heating Element. This is designed to provide freeze protection for holding tanks, water supply lines, drain pipes, metal, and plastic pipes up to 3" in diameter. It's a really nice flexible design, it does come with detailed installation instructions. They give you a couple different examples of how to install the unit to a pipe, whether it's running it straight down the pipe, whether it's spiraling it around the pipe. You can use nylon ties to secure it. It goes through all that information. Basically this unit is a really nice design and it's going to, again, offer freeze protection for the things that I mentioned earlier. The plug right here, it's going to plug into a 3-prong outlet, designed for 120 volt systems. more

Camco RV Antifreeze Hand Pump Review- Video

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Camco RV Antifreeze Hand Pump, part number CAM36003. This hand pump lets you pump antifreeze directly into your RV's waterlines. The flexible hose connects to the city water connection, and the plastic tube reaches to the bottom of the antifreeze container to avoid waste. A faucet adapter, part number CAM40083, can be purchased separately to pump antifreeze through an indoor faucet. Now we'll go ahead and show you how to use it. We'll take our clear hose, we'll attach it to our fresh water inlet, get it nice and snug. Then we're going to attach it to our pump, to the side here. Once we've got that attached, we'll take our next hose, and put it on the bottom. more

Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Valterra self-regulating heating element. This is a self-regulating heating cable that's designed for recreational vehicles, residential and commercial applications. It's going to measure 25 feet long. What this is, is it's designed to provide freeze protection for certain items and applications such as holding tanks, water supply lines, drain pipes, metal and plastic pipes up to three inch diameter, as well as roof and gutter deicing. It can also be used with water meters, outside pipes and taps. The self-regulating design, what that means is that it has this core in it that becomes warmer as temperatures become cooler. It's a really nice design, very easy to use. more

Edge to edge it's going to measure about 13 inches long, the width is going to give us a measurement of about 3 inches wide, the thickness is 3 millimeters. more

Thread it in then youll simply take your hose and thread it on to that. Camco RV Water Line Blow-Out Plug with Quick Connect Review- Video

Today we're going to demo the Camco RV Waterline Blowout Plug with Quick Disconnect in brass, part number CAM36143. The Quick Disconnect Brass plug connects to your RV's city water inlet and allows you to completely blow out the water lines before winterizing to prevent dilution of antifreeze. Let's go to our RV and we'll show you how to use the product. We're here at our city water connection. We'll remove our cap covering our hookup. You'll take your Blowout plug, thread it into place, just til it gets snug. Once you've got it in place you'll want to go through, open all the faucets in your RV, interior and exterior including any kitchen faucets you might have on the inside and outside, showers or any other water fixture you may have on your RV. With all our faucets open, we'll connect our standard coupler, giving it a tug to make sure it's secure, and at this point is when you would apply your air pressure. We're not going to be doing it in this application because the RV has already been winterized, but you want to start with very low pressure from your oil-less air compressor and work up until you've got all of the water out of the lines. After completely blowing out our water lines, we'll remove our hose and we can continue with our standard winterization process at this point using this valve or if you're done, simply remove the plug, replace your cap and you're all done. This will complete today's demonstration on our Camco RV Waterline Blowout Plug, part number CAM36143. . more

Right here is the actual fitting. Its a 90 degree brass fitting. Female end here has a rubber O-ring washer style that prevent leaks. Male end is threaded so this can be used on either the back end of the camper like this and you connect your garden hose here so it will go into here and then your garden hose will go in.
