Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver Installation - 2017 GMC Acadia

Today on our 2017 GMC Acadia, we'll be installing the Draw-Tite Class III Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 76023. This Class III hitch has our industry standard 2-inch by 2-inch opening here. It has a nice collar welded around the outside edge of it to give a nice finished appearance. We have a nice, large opening easy-to-use safe chain noose right here where we'll be able to easily hook up any safety chain there without a problem. Over to the left, we have our wiring harness bracket that's welded on the bottom of our hitch so you can mount your 4-way flat or your 7-way RV or whatever other trailer connector you have for your vehicle. We have two holes here on the side of our hitch. The one towards the front of the vehicle is our standard 5/8ths-inch diameter hitch pin hole to secure our ball mount bike rack or cargo carrier or any other hitch-mounted accessory we may have. more

This offers the 2-inch by 2-inch opening. Its part number is 75189. Now, here's what our hitch is going to look like installed on our vehicle. We've got out square cross tube here that's going to remain pretty visible. That's going to go into our side brackets, which go up and make our nice, strong, sturdy connections there on our frame. Those are going to come here to the middle, where we've got our receiver tube opening. This is a Class III, so it's a 2-inch by 2-inch receiver tube opening, and it makes it very, very versatile. more

As you can see, it's a nice, clean installation. The only thing that really sticks out is our class 3 2" receiver here, and a little bit of the frame on the body of the hitch. We have our standard 5/8" diameter hitch pin hole, in the back, and in front of that, we have a smaller hole, which is for a J-pin stabilization device, which you can purchase separately on our website. more

Here's what the hitch looks like once it's installed on the vehicle. As you can see, everything's pretty well hidden. You don't really see a whole lot other than the receiver tube and the safety chain loops right here. When you get down low you can see a little bit of the crosstube right there, but there is also the option for the cover that needs to be taken off in order to install it. You can trim this cover, but you'll be trimming it most of it out because all you'll really have left is the edge around here. more

Today on our 2016 GMC Terrain we're going to be taking a look at and installing the CURT Custom Fit Class 2 Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number C12291. Here's what our new sweet, slick, and stylish class 2 receiver hitch is going to look like installed on the back of our vehicle. It's going to have a real slim, low-profile look with only the rectangle tube, chain tie-downs, and the 1 1/4" by 1 1/4" receiver tube being visible from that back side. Now note that you won't be able to put that plastic fascia and appearance panel back over the top, so this will always be out. Now keep in mind that it's going to be a fully welded design with a black powder coat finish, so it's going to have added rust and corrosion resistance as well as stand up to the elements over a long period of time. The heavy-duty chain tie-downs on either side are also going to be accessible to large tow hooks, with a 1/2 inch pin hole going straight through the center to secure all your 1 1/4" by 1 1/4" trailering accessories. You can see that that receiver hitch is going to be dead even with the bottom side of our appearance panel, and facia. Here's what our Draw-Tite ultra frame is going to look like once it's assembled and installed on the back end of our vehicle. It's going to have a real rugged look and design with that cast center piece that you see here. With a durable powder coat and fully welded design, it's going to have years of dependability and superior rust and corrosion resistance, with our massive chain tie-downs on either side, which are going to be really nice, and a really nice large 5/8" pinhole, and a 1/2" pinhole straight ahead of it for your J-pen stabilization device, which is going to help to prevent any kind of sway, rattle and wobble on any of those accessories you may have. Today on our 2014 GMC Savana van, we will be taking a look at and installing the Draw-Tite Custom Fit Class 3 Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 41521. Here's what our Custom Fit Class 3 Trailer Hitch Receiver is going to look like on the back end of our vehicle. It's going to have a real rugged design that's going to be fully welded, so it's going to stand up and be durable over a long period of time. It's going to have a black powder-coat finish that's also going to help prevent any kind of rust and corrosion, and stand up against the road debris and elements. It's going to have a 5/8 inch pinhole going straight through the center for all of our attachments, as well as a 1/2 pinhole directly in front of that for our J-pin stabilization device. The plate-steel design on the bottom is going to add extra strength, as well as be your chain tie-down for a nice, secure mounting point. Another thing that's going to be included is going to be a welded on bracket that's going to provide superior mounting for that four-pole connector or seven-pole connector on the back end of your vehicle. Here's what our Class 4 Receiver Hitch is going to look like once it's installed. The Curt does a really good job about giving you a really good appearance on the back of your vehicle with that Class 4 Receiver Hitch. It's going to be tucked up underneath the back with a square tube design, black power coat finish and be fully welded which is going to add extra durability and be rust and corrosion resistant. It's going to have that 5/8 inch pinhole going straight through that's going to secure any of your attachments with a fully welded, plate steel design for your chain tie-downs to add extra strength for when you're towing and security, have a 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening for all those 2 inch receiver accessories and offer a 1000 pound tongue weight capacity and 10,000 pound towing capacity. With weight distribution, that's going to go up to 1200 pounds for your tongue weight and 12,000 pounds towing capacity. It's going to have a real nice, attractive look on the back of your vehicle. You can see that most of the hitch is hidden underneath the bumper. If we take a closer look, we have our receiver opening here, which does come past this top edge of the bumper maybe a quarter inch. The hitch pin hole here uses a 5/8ths inch hitch pin. Take a look here, we have the safety chain loops. If we follow the round tube up, you can see it goes to the frame brackets here. more

Today on this 2007 GMC Sierra New Body we're going to show you the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Class 3 Two-Inch Receiver Hitch, part number 75362. This is what the hitch looks like once it's installed on the truck. You can see that the hitch is half way covered up by the bumper and you'll see the lower half of the hitch underneath. This is the 2-inch opening right here. We have two pin holes. The larger diameter is a 5/8-inch hole, designed to hold your accessories in place. Our second smaller hole is designed to work with part number 63201, the Draw-Tite J-Pin Stabilization Pin. We'll take a look below the receiver we can see a very large opening for safety chains from your trailer. more

It also has very generous loops for your safety chains. Since this is a heavy duty hitch it's going to require big hooks for your safety chains. Today on this 2007 GMC Sierra new body, we're going to show you the DrawTite Class III 2" Receiver Hitch, part number 75521. This is what the hitch looks like when it's installed on the truck. At our first look, you can see that most of the hitch is actually hidden below the bumper and actually tucks up well nice underneath this edge of the bumper too. It also has some heavy duty safety chain loops right here as well welded on to the bottom and a hitch receiver also has 2 holes in it, for a 5/8" hitch pin for accessories and an additional smaller pin that's used for the DrawTite J-pin, part number 63201. Here's an electrical bracket right for electrical accessories such as a 4-pole bracket and a 6- or a 7-pole bracket. Now, I'll go ahead and show you how the hitch attaches to the vehicle. First off, it has 2 fasteners here and here that attach to the bumper. You definitely need the factory bumper in place to install this hitch. If we go over to the frame, we can see a series of fasteners there as well. more

Today on our 2015 GMC Terrain we'll be installing the CURT class two 1-1/4" receiver tube hitch, part number C12291. Here's what our hitch is going to look like once it's installed. This is a really nice hitch visually because the only thing truly exposed is our receiver tube and chain hold downs, while still remaining very accessible because the receiver tube is almost flush with the end of the bumper, so we whether worry about anything sticking out, banging our shins on it. Structurally, it's a square tube design with a fully welded construction. Our hitch is rated for 350 pounds of tongue weight and 3,500 pounds of towing capability. Next we'll go ahead and give you a couple measurements to assist you with selecting accessories for your new hitch. more

Today on our 2015 GMC Terrain we'll be installing Hidden Hitch class two 1-1/4" receiver tube hitch, part number 90145. Here's what our hitch is going to look like once it's installed. As you can see, we cannot reinstall the rear fascia as our hitch sits in that place, but all in all really all we can see is the receiver tube and the chain hold downs, which makes it really nice that we don't have a hitch sticking out. It also is recessed underneath the bumper so we don't have to worry about hitting our leg or shin on it. Visually it's a really nice hitch. Along with the nice black powder coating we've got a square crosstube design with a fully welded hitch. more
