Hi everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Flint Hill Goods Hitch-mounted Cargo Carrier and seeing how it fits from the back of our 2023 Honda CR-V. Now, a hitch-mounted cargo carrier is a great way to get some extra stuff with you or get some things that you don't want in the vehicle out. The example I bring up a lot of the time is things like bags of mulch, concrete, dirt, things you get at the hardware store for little house projects, they tend to rip and make a big mess inside the vehicle. Having them out here where some of that mess might go through the gaps or you can just hose it off when you're home, it's a lot easier than vacuuming out the inside of your vehicle. more

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today I have the Let's Go Aero Gear Deck 17 cubic feet enclosed cargo carrier, and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2022 Jeep Wagoneer. So the Let's Go Aero Gear deck is going to be a box that fits onto your hitch receiver. It allows you to carry a lot of stuff. In fact, it has a 500 pound weight capacity, which is a bit more than most of your other enclosed cargo boxes. Let's Go Aero also has even larger boxes like the gear space or their black boxes. I personally think this is a pretty balanced size for your Wagoneers though, because the larger ones I would see more on motor homes than the Wagoneers. more

Now, to make something like this work, you're gonna need a hitch. You can have a class one, two or three hitch, doesn't matter. This will work with two inch and inch and a quarter hitches. And because it only supports a weight capacity of 110 pounds, even if you've got a class one hitch, it should work just fine. more

Hi everyone. Aiden here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Thule Arcos enclosed storage box and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2022 Ford Maverick. Now this is gonna be a hitch-mounted carrier, and if you're familiar with rooftop boxes, this may look pretty similar. The construction is gonna be a hard shell plastic much similar to a rooftop box, but the benefit of this is that it's gonna be easier to reach by installing it in the hitch, and you're gonna get the same benefits of that roof storage where it's enclosed from the elements and lockable. Now the other benefit is gonna be the added height. more

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we have the Lets Go Aero GearDeck 17 Enclosed Cargo Carrier. This is gonna be a hitch mounted cargo box and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. So right off the bat, if you need more cargo space, you want make sure that your cargo is covered and protected, this is gonna be one of the ways you can do that. Now, some of the features here is that instead of tilting away for more access to your hatch, this one actually slides out. So there's a pin here at the end where you just rotate that pin in order to release the slide out arms. It's an anti-rattle bolt, so it will also take a little bit of time before we come out, but once it does, I just hold the box by its handle, lift out and wait. more

Now, this cargo carrier is going to give you a lot of extra space to be able to get stuff out of your vehicle and put it on the cargo carrier. A lot of people like to use these for generators, anything that basically would smell inside your vehicle. Hey, everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2020 Toyota Highlander, we're gonna be checking out the Lets Go Aero GearDeck Enclosed Cargo Carrier. First impressions of this on the back of the Highlander, I could really see how this would be useful in a lot of different scenarios, especially on those long trips. Maybe you got the car fully loaded and you lose out on a lot of that cargo space and so you're gonna be able to put all those other things back here. Or especially, you know, if it's one of those deals where you have cargo that you don't necessarily wanna put inside of your vehicle, you can put it back here, or you have stuff that's kind of bulky, but you know, actually hooking up a separate trailer doesn't really, it's not really justified, so this is kind of that go-between and being completely covered, it goes a long way. It's gotta keep all your stuff dry. more

Flint Hill Goods Hitch Mounted Aluminum Cargo Carrier Review - 2022 Chrysler Pacifica- Video
Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Right now we're gonna be taking a look at the Flint Hill Goods Hitch Cargo Carrier, it's the compact version, and we're gonna take a look at how it fits on our 2022 Chrysler Pacifica. This is gonna be made out of aluminum, so it's gonna be super lightweight, easy to store when you're not using it, but it's still gonna be able to support up to 500 pounds, so let's take a closer look. So with our Pacifica, we do have a decent amount of storage in the back, but once you start loading that up with people and their items, things really fill up very quickly, so something like this could be useful in the event that you're going for a long-term trip, somewhere where you need a little bit of extra storage, or maybe even the opposite where you're going on a short-term trip to just like the grocery store, hardware store, you're picking up something like mulch or anything that's gonna make a mess inside your car, you'd rather have that out on the back, this is how you get around that. Here in the inside are the aluminum slats, there's just six that run straight across the entire carrier, so you still have room to get some larger items on here with having that space for debris to fall through. Our side walls aren't very tall, but they do give you just a little bit more protection or something to butt your gear up against to give it a little bit more security inside. more

Flint Hill Goods 29 x 49 Carrier with Ramp Review - 2022 Chrysler Pacifica- Video

Right now we're gonna be taking a look at the Flint Hill Goods 49 by 29 inch hitch-mounted aluminum cargo carrier with the 60 inch ramp right here on our 2022 Chrysler Pacifica. So we do have a large cargo container, but if we need a little bit of help loading some things up whether that's a wheelchair, scooter, generator in this case, lawnmower. As long as it falls within that 500 pound weight capacity of the carrier or in our case, our tongue weight on our hitch is actually 400 pounds. If we keep it below that amount we can get any sort of wheeled accessory up here and in securely and where we need them to go. So let's take a closer look. more

How's it going It's Ethan here at etrailer. Right now we're gonna be taking a look at the Compact Steel Hitch Cargo Carrier from Flint Hill Goods and how it fits on our 2022 Chrysler Pacifica. So with the Pacifica, we have a good amount of storage in the back, but if you're going on a long road trip or even a short trip where you just want to get some larger, heavier, maybe some messier items, you don't want them to keep them inside your vehicle, this is a great way to get them outside while still being compact and really durable, so let's take a look. This carrier has a 500 pound weight capacity, it's made of steel with a nice black product coat finish, so it's really well built and it's gonna be durable, especially out in the elements when you're driving and things are kicking up from the bottom and hitting it. Also, it is gonna be still really lightweight, it's only gonna come in at about 25 pounds, even though it is made of steel. So if you compare that to the aluminum version, it's only a couple pounds heavier, but I think it's gonna be a lot more durable. more

Howdy everyone, John here. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the GearDeck 17 Enclosed Cargo Carrier on our 2015 Toyota 4Runner. Now this is gonna be a great choice if you need a little extra room for any of your stuff on a trip and you don't want to put it inside your vehicle itself. Now my friends and I are planning on going to Colorado during summer and we're going to be doing some car camping, so the inside of our vehicle isn't going to be able to be used for any type of cargo because we'll be sleeping there. Now the 4Runner does have raised rails but unfortunately it's a little bit finicky whenever it comes to how much roof clearance you have along with other problems. Now this is a great choice if you wanna be able to put some of your cargo maybe camping equipment and whenever we're gonna be using that we don't have to worry about it being attacked by the elements because it's going to be enclosed. more

Now, aside from all that, it's going to be aluminum, which makes this a very lightweight carrier, easy to get in and out of the hitch, and very much light enough to just hang up on the wall in your garage for easy storage when it's not in use. A lot of people don't think about that if they get a hitch-mounted cargo carrier, storing it is kind of an afterthought, and a lot of times with the heavier steel ones, they can be a pain to move around, they end up taking up floor space, so hanging on the wall is a nice option. And even though it's aluminum, it can support a weight capacity of 500 pounds, so it's built very strong. more

One of the big advantages to this is going to be that it is made of aluminum, which is weather resistant. And compared to a carrier of a similar size, this is going to be a lot more lightweight. So, if you wanted to hang this on your wall in the garage when you're not in use, there'd be no issue being able to hang that. Although our rack is made out of aluminum, there are just a few points on it where these thin little pieces are that I would not really use for securing down tie down points. more

A cargo carrier, especially a hitch mounted one is a great way to get some extra stuff with you maybe on a road trip or maybe just to and from the hardware store. I always recommend these for things like bags of concrete, mulch, dirt, anything that tends to rip and maybe cause a mess inside your vehicle. These are more than capable of handling some heavy weight and with the open design, any dirt and debris will fall through it and anything that doesn't can easily get hosed off because it's aluminum you don't have to worry about rust and corrosion over time, it's gonna be very weather resistant while still maintaining a nice 500 pound weight capacity which should hold up very well for a long time. There's plenty of points for tie downs here. more

Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Flint Hill Goods aluminum 60 by 22 inch hitch cargo carrier and how it fits on our 2022 GMC Sierra 1500. So with the 1500, we do have a good amount of space in our truck bed, but maybe you want a little bit of extra storage on a longer trip, maybe you just want something that's easy to load in bags of mulch or dirt, gravel, whatever it is that might make a mess inside your bed that you'd rather not deal with, this is a good way to extend that storage or get some larger, messier items out on the back, so let's take a closer look. As I mentioned, the carrier is made of aluminum, so it's really lightweight, but it's still able to support up to 500 pounds, so it's still gonna be able to get a good amount of weight where you need it to go. It's got this grid design on the inside, so you can store some smaller items-ish, but you still have enough room for that mess to fall through, we have rails that go around the outside, as well as points on the inside for you to tie things down to. That being said, because these are aluminum and they are kind of thin, when we've been testing these, if we put any sort of real pressure on there, they do flex pretty easily, so we'd honestly recommend maybe not using that if you wanna put your straps there, we'd rather use the outside rails if that's an option for you. more

There's a lot of cargo carrier options out there, and yes you already have a large truck with a large truck bed but sometimes you need a cargo area that's more easily accessible. That's where this carrier with a ramp comes in handy. This is made of aluminum, so it's gonna be lighter than your super-duper heavy duty ramps. And you have a long ramp which gives you a more shallow incline. That way you can carry around, let's say you're snowblowers, your generators, your larger items that need to be ramped up instead of lifted up. more

Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima EXO swing away storage system with the cargo basket and the enclosed cargo box, and seeing how it fits on our 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. So the Yakima EXO System is a very unique setup. It's gonna be a hitch-mounted carrier slides into our two inch by two inch receiver tube. And it does weigh quite a bit which makes your Jeep Grand Cherokee L a perfect fit for it because it's vehicle capacity and hitch capacity is more than enough for the job.
