Now it does come with Ill show you the dimensions on it the drop is a 3-inch drop so the measurement for a drop will be from here to here. So if we basically put a tape measure on that will give you a 3-inch drop and has a 1 -inch rise. more

Today, we are going to show you the Telescoping, Swiveling Ball Mount from Convert-A-Ball, part number CAB-LD6. This ball mount is designed to fit 2 inch by 2 inch trailer hitch recievers. It has a towing weight capacity of 10,000 lbs and a tongue weight capacity of 1,000 lbs. It features a 6 inch , from the top of the receiver to the top of the ball platform. It cannot be reversed, it must be used in the position. It is manufactured in the US and is covered by a 2 year limited warranty. The Telescoping Swiveling Ball Mount makes hooking up your trailer very, very easy. You do not have to back the vehicle all the way up and you do not have to get it perfectly straight. Today we are going to review the components needed to pull a trailer. Basically, this video is designed for somebody who just decided they have a need for a trailer, so we will cover all the components in the most basic form, so you know exactly how to update your vehicle. What we are going to do is start from the truck and work our way back to the trailer. First off, we are going to show you the hitch itself. All vehicles require a hitch to pull a trailer. What this device does is makes an attaching point on the frame of the vehicle, or body components, and transmits the forces from the trailer to this one point here. This point here is the receiver part. Consequently this hitch is called a receiver hitch because this hitch can receive a draw bar, or also called a ball mount. It is held in place by this pin which we just ed, and this clip holds it in place. There are more fancier pins, like locking pins, but that is the basic thing you need right there to get the job done. 1:12 more

Rapid Hitch Adjustable Ball Mount Kit with 3-1/2 Inch Drop and Chrome Balls Review- Video
Alright, today we are going to review part number AM3400 from Andersen Manufacturing. This is their rapid hitch. What we have here is an adjustable ball mount that is constructed entirely out of aluminum alloy. And the hitch ball assembly itself is actually constructed of chrome plated steel. It does come with two locking pins, one for the hitch ball assembly and also one for the hitch itself. Alright, let us go ahead and take a closer look at the rapid hitch. We have the rapid hitch installed in the hitch . Let us go ahead and take it out. We have our locking pin here, it comes with a barrel key. And then with a 1/4 turn it comes apart. Go ahead and take it out. Alright, and you can see here the shank is constructed of the aluminum alloy and also has two hitch pin holes. Ball Mount Comparison Review- Video
Today we are going to talk about ball mounts: what they are for, and what they can do for you. As you can see here, we have a variety of different types. And we are going to start off with the most basic type and go all the way up to the most advanced ones with the most adjustability to them. First, we will start off with a typical ball mount. And this configuration here is for a 2-inch receiver and also is a drop version. Basically, it is going to be 4 inches. Also, some models will have a gusset on the bottom, here, to give them a little bit added strength. Some of the typical straight ones will not have this, of course. And, depending on the materials it is made of, some will have the gusset and some will not. One other thing about ball mounts is, we have to talk about rise and drop. Basically, how they measure that is from the top of the shank down to the bottom of the plate here, that is considered the drop. And the rise position is considered this way - from the top of the shank again - well, to the top of the hitch - to the top of this plate here. And that gives you your rise measurement. So, in this case, we actually have from here to here a 4-inch drop, and then from here to here we have approximately about a 2-3/4 inch rise. And those rules apply to any ball mount out there. 1:04 more
