Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2014 Ford Van- Video
Today on our 2014 Ford E450 box truck we will be installing the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller in conjunction with our universal installation kit for 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat connectors to better assist us. That is part number ETBC7. The part number for our brake controller is TK90160. One of the key features about the Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller is that it's a proportional brake controller, which has an internal inertia sensor that'll detect how quickly your towing vehicle is slowing down. It'll apply the brakes on the trailer in a proportional manner so they will both stop equally. Let's go over a couple features of our trailer brake controller.
