Curt Class I Trailer Hitch Installation - 2022 Honda Civic- Video

Curt Class I Trailer Hitch Installation - 2022 Honda Civic

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the Curt Class I Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback. Now, this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed, and it's a hidden cross tube. So the only thing that you're gonna see is the actual receiver end here and your safety chain loops. And if you're wondering if it works with your sport model and that rear diffuser, as you can see, it does. Now, being an inch and a quarter receiver tube opening means that it's not gonna have as wide a selection of accessories as you're two-inch by two-inch, but on a smaller vehicle, sometimes you're limited with just the inch and a quarter option. So there's still definitely some bike racks, ball mounts, as well as cargo carriers that you can load up here. more

Hi there, Civic owners. Today, on your 2008 Honda Civic, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install EcoHitch's class three two-inch trailer hitch receiver. And this is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. It does kinda stick out the back a little bit here, a little bit past the bumper, but the crosstube's completely hidden behind our fascia here, so you're only gonna notice the receiver here at the back. And with this receiver being a two inch by two inch, it's gonna work great for all of your towing needs, whether you're wanting to use this for accessories or if you're wanting to put a ball mount in this and do a little bit of towing with it as well. You'll secure your accessories to your receiver using a 5/8-inch hitch pin and clip. more

Right here, we have the Draw-Tite and right here we have the Curt. I will say these hitches do share a lot of similarities and probably the biggest difference that really sets them apart is gonna have to do with the appearance how the hitch looks. And I think that's what I would probably base my decision off of if I was putting one on a civic and if he asked me I would lean a little bit more towards the Curt and that really just has to do with the fact that it has a reinforced collar. more

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2015 Honda Civic, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver. So right off the bat, I think the hitch looks pretty good on the back of the Civic actually. Even though it is completely visible, it kind of has a batwing design and tapers off and just disappears back here. And it sits up nice and tight against the bottom of our Civic. With these cars riding pretty low to the ground, that's important. It's going to keep everything up nice and high, and you shouldn't have any issues there. more

Shane: Hi, I'm Shane with etrailer.com. Today, you're going to be taking a look at, I'm going to walk you through the installation on the Draw-Tite Class I Trailer Hitch Receiver on your 2019 Honda Civic.Adding in a Class I Hitch to your vehicle is going to allow you to not only carry bike racks, but also put cargo carriers on there. It's going to make it a lot easier to put your bikes on a car, or on a bike rack, or a load yourself on a cargo carrier, here on a hitch, rather than trying to load it up on top on a roof rack. One thing you'll notice about this hitch that's really nice is, the cross tube is completely hidden behind our bumper fascia. The only thing we can really see is our receiver tube, so it stays looking very nice on the back of the vehicle. Now let's go ahead and give you a few measurements and weight ratings for this hitch. From the center of our hitch pin hole, to the outermost part of our bumper, is going to be about four inches. That number is important for any of your hitch mounted accessories that may fold up against your vehicle, like your bike racks and cargo carriers, and to make sure that they're not going to make contact. From the ground to the top innermost part of the receiver tube is going to be about 12 inches. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2008 Honda Civic - Curt

Speaker 1: Today on our 2008 Honda Civic we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt class one custom fit trailer hitch receiver, part number C11391. Here's what our hitch is gonna look like, it is gonna sit just right below the bumper and that cross tube is gonna be visible but mainly what we're gonna see is we're gonna see that receiver tube sticking out which is gonna pretty close to flush with out back bumper so we're not gonna have to worry about bumping our knee or our shin when we're walking by.Now it is a class one hitch which means it's gonna give us that inch and a quarter by inch and quarter receiver tube opening and as you can see it's got that nice reinforced collar not only giving it the added strength but also it's just gonna give it an overall clean, finished look to it. Now the way we're gonna attach any of our accessories is gonna be right here to the hitch pin hole here and it's gonna accept a standard half inch pin and clip which are included which is always a nice added bonus. Now as far as the safety chain connection point's go it's gonna be a plate style welded to the bottom and we're gonna have plenty of room to get most sized hooks on or off and the slight off set from the hitch pin hole is gonna be nice because we're not gonna have to worry about any kind of interference if we're using a locking device. Now as far as the weight capacity goes our hitch is gonna feature a 200 pound tongue weight, which is gonna be the maximum force that is gonna be pushing down. It's also gonna have a 2,000 pound gross trailer weight rating which is gonna be the maximum amount that it can pull. Now with all that in mind I do want to mention you always want to double check your vehicle's owner's manual to make sure that you're not gonna exceed the manufacturers weight rating. One thing I do want to mention is that Curt does recommend that you use a stabilization strap anytime that you're towing anything, any non trailer loads, or anything that doesn't have any tires on it such as a cargo carrier or a bike rack. more
