This tire chain is gonna be one of the lighter duty options that we carry here, and that's because it is the roller style, so it's gonna be best suited for lighter snowfall, not necessarily any heavy snowfall, or roads that are mostly compacted ice. Now, if you are driving around on roads that are mostly compacted ice, I highly recommend checking out a square link chain such as the Konig XB16. We put those on here earlier and they fit really well. Now going back into the Titan Chains chains, everything's gonna be made with a manganese nickel alloy, so it's gonna hold up very well against rust and corrosion. more

Welcome to etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the Konig XG12 Pro Snow Tire Chains here on the 2020 Ford Escape. These snow tire chains are going to be a great option for the Ford Escape here just because we do have a very tight wheel well and we can make our connections entirely from outside of the tire. And the self tensioning system here on the front, really seals the deal for me, just knowing that as your tire wears down over time, your fitment changes, the snow tire chain's going to be able to adapt to that and keep up with it. Now the chains themselves are going to be a diamond-patterned square link and they're gonna have these little square studs in the center in the pattern, as it goes around, which is going to give you a nice balance between your start and stop as well as your turning, so you're not having to sacrifice one for the other. And the chains themselves are going to be made of a manganese-nickel alloy, which is gonna hold up very well to rust and corrosion. more

Welcome to etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Konig XB-16 Snow Tire Chain here on a 2020 Ford Escape. These snow tire chains are gonna be an excellent fit for the Ford Escape, they're gonna get you, in my opinion, the best of both worlds between the diamond pattern and the square link, you're gonna get enough traction without losing too much of your turning and without sacrificing your start and stop by getting away from the ladder pattern tire chains. They're gonna come in a pair of two with a plastic hard case, which is really nice. A lot of snow tire chains come with like a real chintzy bag, it tends to rip and tear through the off season when you're just keeping it in storage, so I like that it comes with this, that way, when it's time to put the tire chains back for the year, you can put them in this, set them underneath the backseat or in the garage somewhere, and not have to worry about them tearing through. The chains themselves are gonna be made up of manganese nickel alloy, so they will stand up to rust and corrosion. more

If you need a lot of extra traction on the road, maybe you're expecting a lot of snow and some ice, then this is gonna be an option for you. There's a bunch of different tire chains for a Kia Sorento, I personally prefer this style, because it's easier to install, but I'll show you how to do that later in this video. So this is gonna be arranged in a diamond pattern, and that is compared to your traditional ladder style chains which just go across, this covers more of your tire and helps out with those starts and those stops as well as those turns. These are heavy-duty alloy chains, so the link themselves are made of a manganese nickel alloy, and that means that it's an alloy that is preferable for multiple seasons, if you wanna be able to reuse your chains, that's a good construction for that. And the links are shaped as square links, which means they have a flat edge on each side to help bite into the ice, but also get through that snow. more

Glacier Twist-Link Snow Tire Chains Installation - 2021 Toyota 4Runner- Video
Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Glacier chain snow tire chains with cam tensioners here on our 2021 Toyota 4Runner. Now this here is going to be a ladder pattern style chain which means that the chains are going perpendicular across the tire like this and it's gonna be really nice for our starts and stops, give us nice grip, it won't be as smooth of a ride, but we're focused on getting good traction, not necessarily perfect ride quality. You also have the twist links here, which compared to something like a square link or especially a V-Bar, is gonna be better for on-road use, less aggressive, and give you a bit of a smoother ride. Again, it's not gonna be perfect, you've got a chain on your tire but it will help with some of that ride quality. These are constructed of a low-carbon steel which means they are gonna be a bit softer which isn't necessarily a bad thing if you we're to roll over something like a rock, they're less brittle, less prone to snapping and breaking, so they should last a long time. You are gonna notice four of these cam tensioners around the tire, comes with the included tool. more

With these chains, the install process is gonna be pretty straightforward. The middle of the chains are going to have an opening. This is where our tire's gonna sit and then the coded cable is going to be on the backside. When it's laid out like this, you wanna make sure that nothing's tangled up add also that this part that says Konig is face down because when we put that up on a tire, that'll be face up in the correct orientation. more

So, there are three main features to these tire chains. You've got your twist links, which are great for deep snow, but you also have your V-Bar studs, which are ideal for really hard ice. Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look at and showing you how to install these Titan Chain Twist Links Snow Tire Chains with cam tensioners on our 2019 GMC Sierra 1500. The first thing you wanna do with the install of your chains here is to actually get them laid out, and make sure they're oriented properly. We've got our cross links here with the end pieces having these hook-shaped links. They have a smooth side and a more hooked side. We want that smooth side face down, so it's gonna be touching the tire, so I'll flip this chain in just a second, and then we've got our cam tensioners that we do want on the outside here, so they're accessible when we put it on the tire. more

Hi everyone, Aiden here at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install these Titan Chain Twist Links Snow Tire Chains with cam tensioners on our 2022 Ram 1500. The first part of our install is making sure everything is laid out nice and evenly, we don't have any twists or breaks in the links. Everything's looking good here, so we can check our orientation. We'll come to each section of chain, and on the cross links, there's an end link right here that has a smooth side, which I've got face down, and a more hooked abrasive side face up away from the tire. Then, right next to those, we've got our cam tensioners, we want those facing the outside of the vehicle. more
