Speaker 1: Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Reese Titan 16K fifth wheel trailer hitch with round tube sliders. This offers a serrated dual jaws, part number is RP30869.Now let's take a look at a few of the features that are built right into the head of our fifth wheel system here, just before we get it installed, once it's installed it's really tough to see. We'll start with, if you look right down here as this cast center section moves it's got rubber bumpers here designed to take up any of that noise or any of that jarring we might feel. That's gonna help to isolate there as well as on the outside here. This is where it's gonna meet our fifth wheel legs or this is where it's gonna meet our slider. Curt Fifth Wheel - Sliding Fifth Wheel - C16621 Review- Video
Today, we are going to review part number C16621. This is the CURT Q16 Fifth-Wheel Trailer Hitch with the R16 slider, the base rails and the installation kit all included and this has a sixteen thousand pound weight capacity. Now, this heavy duty fifth-wheel trailer hitch has the dual jaw, has a nice pivoting head and on the very back here it uses a color-coded lock indicator to give you superb safety and security. Now, the two jaw locking system right here provides a three-hundred and sixty degree jaw-to-king pin contact and because of that, it'll give you less rattle, more security than a lot of the Slide-Moore models. This has a self-aligning wide head opening right here you can see for a nice simple hook-up. The way they do that is they use a fully articulating torsion head which gives you controlled coupling and a nice stable, quiet ride. Now, there is two lube points, which for easy access, grease Zerk fittings and they are located on the front of each jaw. more

Now, this 5th wheel hitch will mount in your truck bed so that you can tow your 5th wheel trailer. Uses this non-binding slider that provides 12 inches of clearance that's required for a short bed truck to turn safely at slow speeds. That will prevent the trailer from hitting the cab of your pickup during those sharp, slow speed turns. It does slide smoothly on these rounded non-binding rods and the slider is designed for use on trucks with beds that are shorter than 8 foot. Curt Q20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with R20 Slider and Rails Review- Video
Today we'll be having a look at the Curt Q20 Fifth Wheel Hitch, and Curt R20 Slider rails, and the bed rails to install it all with, part number C16636. This kit is designed for trucks with shorter than an 8 foot bed. The R20 Slider gives us the ability to have our fifth wheel hitch move further to the back so we can maneuver easier. To do that, just pull back on this handle, and then you can pull your truck forward, and it slides very easily to help you make into a maneuvering position. Once you're ready to actually drive you're trailer down the road, just apply your trailer brakes, put on your brake controller, put your truck in reverse, and back up until it comes back, and locks in position. The R20 Slider's most often used on trucks with 6 foot and 6 and a half foot beds. This roller helps eliminate clearance problems during slow speed turns. We are telling a fifth wheel trailer your hitch must be situated on a cab side of your truck's rear axle. However at slow speeds you can use a roller to slide a fifth wheel hitch and a trailer toward your truck tailgate, and pass the rear axle, creating enough space between the cab of your truck and the trailer to permit less restricted turning. This combination has a 20,000 lb max gross trailer rate rating and 5,000 lb max vertical load limit. The two-jaw locking system provides 360 degree jaw to king pin contact. more

Today we're going to be taking a look at the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, part number BWRVK3500-5W. This 5th wheel companion is going to be great for hooking up any 5th wheel trailers that you may have, but also if you have gooseneck trailers, it works great because this goes into gooseneck rails that you can use the gooseneck ball with. What's really nice about this 5th wheel companion is that you can completely remove it from the bed, so when you take it out, you've got a full bed access and there are no cross rails left behind. It features a dual jaw design. It's going to give you 360 degrees of coverage around your king pin. Unlike slide bar jaws, the rounded 2 piece jaw in this 5th wheel trailer hitch inhibits rattle and movement by securely wrapping around your trailer's king pin, resulting in easier hook up and a safer quieter ride. In order to operate those dual jaws, you simply remove the pin from the handle here and then this handle is a cam action, so as you pull the handle back, it's going to open up the jaws and then you can slide your king pin in. more

Today we're going to take a look at the Curt E16 5th wheel trailer hitch for the Chevy and GMC towing prep packages. Has a slide bar jaw design and a 16,000 pound weight capacity. Now this is a custom fit part, it does comes with these custom legs that are designed to fit the Chevrolet and GMC trucks that have the factory installed towing prep packaging starting in 2016. This hitch head features an auto locking slide bar jaw mechanism to provide superior security, has a rear tension bar right back there that'll work this this slide bar to help clamp around your king pin, to help minimize your rattle and your movement. The head is a dual pivoting head, has a 10 degree lateral movement for nice simple hook up. The head does use permalube pivot pushing to increase the hitch life and reduce maintenance. The other nice thing, if you see these pins and clips right here, these two pins, if you remove the clips and the two pins, that'll allow you to take out the head from the cross member and it makes it easy for one person to remove the complete hitch from the truck bed. Today we're going to take a look at the Curt Q24 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with the slider for the Ford towing prep package and it has a 24,000 lb weight capacity. Now this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2011 and newer Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks that have the 6 3/4 ft bed and the factory installed towing prep package on it. Now this 5th wheel hitch will mount in your truck bed so that you can tow your 5th wheel trailer. Now the part I'm describing here would be the hitch head and the slider that it's on. This gives you an idea of what it would look like installed on your truck bed. Today we are going to take a look at and demo the Curt q20 fifth wheel hitch, part number C16130. Now here is what our fifth wheel assembly looks like, right out of the box. The only exception is, we went ahead and took the legs and bolted them onto them onto the main assembly with the hardware that is included. Here on top, we have our lube plate that comes with the hitch, and that is just to hold it. So let's just go ahead and take the lube plate off. As we open it up, we'll notice a two jaw design, meaning both sides of this will close around our king pin. more

Now this is a heavy duty fifth wheel trailer, has a dual jaw, has a 365 degree pivoting pad, and it uses a color-coded lock indicator here on the handle to give you superb safety and security. This also comes with a nonbinding slider which allows the proper clearance during slow turns with your short bed truck. Now this 2 jaw locking system right here, this provides a 360 degree jaw to kingpin contact and because of that it'll give you less rattle, more security than a lot of the slide bar models. This does use a self-aligning head which will pivot for simple hook up. The way it pivots it uses a unique spherical axial bearing and this will allow easy pivoting of the hitch head. more
