Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today, we're taking a look at installing the CURT Trailer Wiring Harness on a 2022 Jeep Compass. Adding a four-pole trailer wiring to any vehicle with a hitch is always a great idea because even if you don't ever plan on pulling a trailer, to be able to hook up to one and have the light sequence work just in case of emergency is really nice. And it's really not too hard of an install because it's custom fit. That means that you are simply just going to plug it into your factory tail lights, and that makes it nice and easy on that part. You do have to run a power wire up to the front, but other than that, it's going to keep you safe and legal whenever you're planning on towing. And the reason being is it's tying into those light sequence. more

Now right out the gate, I will recommend potentially picking up a different kit and reason being is this doesn't come with all of the parts that you need. You will need to pick up a fuse holder, a fuse, butt connectors, as well as ring terminals and a power wire to get this one to work. And that's because this kit does not include all of that, but there is a universal kit that does encompass all of that, allowing you to get your install done with that one package. Now I will point out, if your vehicle is the premium or premier package, the universal kit is gonna be the only one that works with this. But if you don't have that package, you're actually in luck. more

It also plugs in directly to the factory style plug, so there's really no cutting on that end. Hi everybody! Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a look at this T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. Now, this harness is designed to fit your 2007 to 2012 Lexus ES 350 and this harness is going to give you a four pole flat trailer connector at the back of your Lexus to power your trailer signal lights. This is going to be compatible with five pole, six pole, and seven pole adapters, and those adapters are sold separately. And as you can see here, included is a tethered dust cap for the four pole flat connector, which is going to ensure that, the tethering here is going to ensure that you're not going to lose that cap, which is nice, but it's also going to cover up those connection points when this plug is not in use, and so it's going to keep it free of dirt, grime, and moisture. Now the black box that is on this harness is a ModuLite power module. Now, the ModuLite is going to ensure that your vehicle's wiring matches out of your trailer. more

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Tekonsha four-pole trailer wiring harness on a 2021 Lexus RX 350. I highly recommend adding four-pole trailer wiring, or a seven-pole, depending on the trailer you're gonna tow when putting a hitch on a vehicle and you may not end up having to use it, but having it there in case you ever do have to pull a trailer, whether renting equipment or getting a U-Haul or anything, it's nice to have that in place and that's gonna keep you safe and legal because it transmits the light sequence from your factory, turn signals, brake lights and running lights to the trailer and that's gonna keep you safe and legal by letting people know what you're intending to do and this one's super easy. There's two different parts of the wiring harness that plug in inside the vehicle and then there's one that's underneath and this is definitely able to be done in your garage or driveway, I would say in about 10 minutes. This is a very easy one to do so a nice addition to adding a hitch to your vehicle. Now to begin our installation, we're gonna grab this portion of our new wiring harness and this is gonna plug in inside the vehicle. We do need to remove a few small panels to gain access to our plug. more

Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2023 Kia Sorento- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Tekonsha 4-Pole Trailer Wiring Harness on a 2023 Kia Sorento. Now adding 4-pole trailer wiring harness is a great option on any vehicle that you've installed a hitch on because if you ever plan on pulling a trailer, you're gonna need this to transmit the lights signals from your vehicle to the trailer and that's gonna include your running lights, your turn signals, as well as your brake lights. And this gets really nice because it plugs into your factory style plugs behind the taillights and then really all you have to do is kind of get everything mounted up, run a power wire to a 12 volt power from the battery and that's really about it. It also has a module and an inline fuse so if you ever have a back feed from either your trailer or a short in your car it's not gonna damage any of the factory electronics. Overall, this is a pretty easy installation because it is pretty well plugged into the taillights. Now you are gonna have to connect a few butt connectors and you might need a heat shrink gun or a heat gun to get your heat shrink connectors all cinched up. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look and installing the Curt four-pole trailer wiring harness for a 2023 Honda CR-V. Adding four-pole trailer wiring to your vehicle means that you're gonna be able to tow a trailer by giving the light sequence from the vehicle, from your four-pole, to the trailer, giving you running lights, turn signals and brake lights, letting the people behind you know what you're intending to do. So this is required if you do plan on pulling a trailer. And this one is actually pretty easy to do. There should be a factory plug that you're gonna plug into and then just pop a fuse into a fuse holder. And this is going to live outside the vehicle only when you are gonna be hooking up to the trailer. more
