The only exception is, we went ahead and took the legs and bolted them onto them onto the main assembly with the hardware that is included. Here on top, we have our lube plate that comes with the hitch, and that is just to hold it. So let's just go ahead and take the lube plate off. Today on our 2015 Ford F250 Super Duty we will be installing the Under-Bed Rail and Installation Kit for Reese Elite Series 5th Wheel and Gooseneck Trailer Hitches, part number RP30126. To get our vehicle ready for installation we're going to go ahead and lower the spare tire and remove the rear wheels and tires. Take a flat blade screwdriver, or we have a brake spoon, just get it under here beneath the cap, just pop it loose. You can set it aside. Now I'll go ahead and remove the spare tire. Now our 2015 F250 is set up for this puck style system. You see there's dimples in the bed right here that are locations for the holes that we will be drilling. more

The custom under-bed rail kit is sold separately for this application. Now this particular fifth wheel hitch does have a gross towing weight of eighteen thousand pounds, but it is limited to your rail kit and your vehicle, so go ahead and check both of those. You're going to go ahead and go with the lowest weight that is recommended. The Reese Elite Series Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch is fully assembled when it comes out of the box. All you have to do it put the head on and put your pins and clips in, so it saves hours of assembly. Now this fifth-wheel hitch, hitches 00:00:41 a nice one-piece Ford steel locking jaw so when you pull your fifth wheel camper, it's going to be nice and secure here in the jaw. more

Fifth Wheel Hitch Installation - 2015 Ram 3500- Video

Today on our 2015 Ram 3500 Heavy Duty Crew Cab we're going to be installing the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch for Ram Towing Prep Package vehicles, rated for 25,000 pounds, part number BWRVK3600. There's a handle on each side that has the black rubber piece on it. As you lift up, that's what releases it so that when you set it down on, it catches and locks it in place. You'll then need to take the pin, go back through, put your clip in. You need to do that for both sides. Now the head can pivot forward and backwards. Now that we have the head attached, to release the jaws so that you can hook up your camper or trailer, you remove the pin. more

Curt Fifth Wheel C16560 Review- Video

Today, we're going to review part number C16560. This is the Curt R16 round tube slider for the Curt E16 and Q16 5th wheel trailer hitches. Now, for demonstration purposes, I have the slider mounted on to these base rails and mounting brackets just to give you an idea how they install into your truck bed. Now, the rails and the mounting brackets would be sold separately. Now, this slider is most often used on trucks with six foot and six and a half foot beds because this roller will help eliminate any clearance problems during slow speed turns. Basically, when you're towing a 5th wheel trailer, your hitch must be situated on the cab side of your trucks or axle. However, at slow speed, you can use this roller to slide that 5th wheel hitch in the trailer towards your truck's tailgate and pass that rear axle. This will create enough space between the cab of your truck in the trailer to permit less restricted turning. more

Today we're going to review part number C16536. This is the Curt Q20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with the Curt R20 Slider. This is a Dual Jaw design hitch and has a 20,000 lbs weight capacity. Now, for demonstration purposes, I have this mounted on some base rails just to give you an idea of how this would install on your truck bed. Now, this is a 2-Jaw locking system right up there which will provide 360-degrees jaw-to-king-pin contact. That will give you less rattle, more security than some of the slide-bar models. The head on this is a unique spherical axial bearing which allows easy pivoting of the hitch head. more

Today on our 2014 Ram 3500 Mega Cab Dually, we're going to install the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch with a Custom Installation Kit, part number BWGNRK1314. Now here's what our B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch looks like installed in our vehicle. Now let's go ahead and go over the operation of it. Now to install or remove the ball, you reach in, you'll grab the handle, pull it out, and go forward so that it is in the locked open position. Now we're ready to put our ball into the head here. Go ahead and drop it down into place. Then you'll release the handle in the wheel well on the driver's side, securing the ball in place. more

Fifth Wheel Installation - 2013 GMC Sierra- Video

Today on our 2013 GMC Sierra short-bed, we'll be installing the under-bed rail and installation for Reese Elite Series 5th wheel trailer hitches, part number Rp30868. Now, we've already gone ahead and removed the spare tire and the spare tire shield from the vehicle. We've also gone ahead and removed the heat shield bolts as they are a little hard to get out. They are loctited in so you may need to cut them out depending on the age of the vehicle. We're now going to go ahead and remove our heat shield. We don't want to take it all down, so we're going to go ahead and cut it. The bolt here on the bed is not easily accessible. We'll go ahead and cut the shield around the bolt. more

Reese Fifth Wheel Installation Kit - Custom - RP30126 Review- Video

Today we're going to review part number RP30126. This is the Reese Underbed Rail and Installation Kit for the Reese Elite Series 5th Wheel and Gooseneck Trailer Hitches. This is a custom fit part number. It is designed to fit the Ford F-250, the F-350, the F-450 super duty trucks with either the short bed or the long bed starting in the year 2011. This is a custom underbed rail kit and it'll provide full access of your truck bed once the hitch is removed and it features Reese's easy and secure Power Puck mounting system. Basically just the four pucks will be shown in your truck bed and if you pop off the covers that I have installed in there, you'll see the openings where the hitch will drop right in, lock into place and then when you're done, you just pull it out, put the covers back in and you have full access of your truck bed. Now this installation kit is designed for use with the Reese Elite Series and the Signature Series 5th Wheel and Gooseneck Trailer Hitches. The Signature Series which is the older model that this will work with, but an adapter kit is required. more

Today, on this 2004 Dodge Ram pickup 2500 Series QuadCab, we're will be installing the B&W custom under-bed 5th-wheel installation kit, part number BWGNRK1313-5W. This kit is designed to work with the B&W 5th-wheel Companion hitch, part number BWRVK3500-5W. This can also be used as a Gooseneck hitch if needed. We're going to first go ahead and lower down and set aside the spare tire. Next, we're going to go ahead and remove both of the rear wheels just to make our installation a little bit easier and allow you to see things a little bit easier as well. Reese R20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Review- Video

Today we'll be reviewing the Reese R20 fifth-wheel trailer hitch, rated for 20,000 pounds, part number RP30867. The Reese R20 fifth-wheel trailer hitch has a gross towing rate of 20,000 pounds, and a vertical load limit of 5,000 pounds. It also has an adjustable hitch height of 14 to 18 inches. As you can see here, it has a four-way pivoting head, which gives you ease of hooking up even on un-level ground. It also has heavy duty vibration dampeners built in to minimize rattle and noise, even on the roughest terrain. As you will notice, the head is covered with a plastic lube plate, protecting your head, as well as having built-in grease pockets that will help grease settle in, and give the hitch head maximum protection. Today we'll be reviewing part number RP30035. This is the Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches. It is going to be a 10 bolt design. The base rails are going to provide necessary attachment points for your 5th wheel trailer hitch. The universal brackets are designed so that they fit most applications, and then the adapter brackets can be used to ease installation on certain vehicles. The kit's going to include both rails, four brackets, two larger ones with more mounting options, and then the two smaller ones, and it's going to include all the hardware that you need, all the instructions, and the fish wire that you just thread onto the end of the bolt, and you can bring it through the appropriate hole as needed. It makes it a little bit easier to get the bolts in the right place. Some compatible hitches are going to be Curt, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Reese, Valley and Husky. more
