Today we're going to take a look at the Curt Q25 dual jaw 5th wheel trailer hitch with the R24 slider, the base rails, the universal installation kit and 24,000 pound weight capacity. Now, this 5th wheel hitch will mount in your truck bed so that you can tow your 5th wheel trailer. Uses this non-binding slider that provides 12 inches of clearance that's required for a short bed truck to turn safely at slow speeds. That will prevent the trailer from hitting the cab of your pickup during those sharp, slow speed turns. It does slide smoothly on these rounded non-binding rods and the slider is designed for use on trucks with beds that are shorter than 8 foot. B and W Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Ram 2500- Video

Today on our 2016 Ram 2500, we'll be installing the B and W turnover ball, under bed, gooseneck trailer hitch with custom installation kit. Part number BWGNRK1384. This 2-5/16" gooseneck ball coupled with the B and W kit is capable of towing of 30,000 pounds with a 7,500 pound vertical load limit. Obviously, you'll want to consult with your owner's manual of your truck, and find out what it is capable of towing before you attempt to tow a load that heavy. The ball is constructed of a durable steel construction, which will give you many years of service. When we want to remove our ball, or if our truck of is capable of having the ball stored upside down, all we need to do is pull the handle out towards us, and towards the front of the truck. As you can see, it latches in this position for us to remove the ball. When we're ready to put the ball back in, just push towards the rear of the truck and it spring loads itself into the lock position. Here's what our hitch comes with. more

Curt Q20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with R20 Slider and Rails Review- Video

Today we'll be having a look at the Curt Q20 Fifth Wheel Hitch, and Curt R20 Slider rails, and the bed rails to install it all with, part number C16636. This kit is designed for trucks with shorter than an 8 foot bed. The R20 Slider gives us the ability to have our fifth wheel hitch move further to the back so we can maneuver easier. To do that, just pull back on this handle, and then you can pull your truck forward, and it slides very easily to help you make into a maneuvering position. Once you're ready to actually drive you're trailer down the road, just apply your trailer brakes, put on your brake controller, put your truck in reverse, and back up until it comes back, and locks in position. The R20 Slider's most often used on trucks with 6 foot and 6 and a half foot beds. This roller helps eliminate clearance problems during slow speed turns. We are telling a fifth wheel trailer your hitch must be situated on a cab side of your truck's rear axle. However at slow speeds you can use a roller to slide a fifth wheel hitch and a trailer toward your truck tailgate, and pass the rear axle, creating enough space between the cab of your truck and the trailer to permit less restricted turning. This combination has a 20,000 lb max gross trailer rate rating and 5,000 lb max vertical load limit. The two-jaw locking system provides 360 degree jaw to king pin contact. more

Today we're going to be taking a look at the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, part number BWRVK3500-5W. This 5th wheel companion is going to be great for hooking up any 5th wheel trailers that you may have, but also if you have gooseneck trailers, it works great because this goes into gooseneck rails that you can use the gooseneck ball with. What's really nice about this 5th wheel companion is that you can completely remove it from the bed, so when you take it out, you've got a full bed access and there are no cross rails left behind. It features a dual jaw design. It's going to give you 360 degrees of coverage around your king pin. Unlike slide bar jaws, the rounded 2 piece jaw in this 5th wheel trailer hitch inhibits rattle and movement by securely wrapping around your trailer's king pin, resulting in easier hook up and a safer quieter ride. In order to operate those dual jaws, you simply remove the pin from the handle here and then this handle is a cam action, so as you pull the handle back, it's going to open up the jaws and then you can slide your king pin in. more

Today on our 2013 RAM 3500, we're going to take a look at installing the Demco Underbed Rail and Install Kit for the Demco Hijacker UMS Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Trailer Hitches, part number DM8551006. With your under mount system, it's going to allow you to mount the Demco Hijacker UMS Double Pivot Fifth Wheel Chariot. Now without our hitch installed, we have some rubber plugs that are going to go over the holes, help keep out dirt and debris. Today we're going to take a look at the B&W Replacement Slider Base for the B&W Companion Slider Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch. This has a 20,000 pound weight capacity. Now this part is the replacement base that will fit the B&W Companion Slider Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch. We do sell that separately on our website and that Companion Slider Fifth Wheel Hitch will give you the extra room you need when towing with the shark bed truck. This part is the hitch .. Is the slider hitch base and it's designed to give you 12 inches of slide front to rear so that you can have the extra room to maneuver your fifth wheel trailer. Now this part also can be removed by 2 people and once it's removed it'll give you a clean bed with no rails and since there's no mounting rails it means you can use your truck for more than just towing and the companion slider actually uses the B&W turn over ball under bed mounting system which would be just the opening, the one opening in the middle of the truck bed and you'll see this shank right here, this square shank that's designed to drop right into that turn over ball under bed system and it will lock it into place and then you can use it as a fifth wheel. Today we're going to take a look at the replacement slider base for the BMW Patriot slider 5th wheel trailer hitch, and this has an 18,000 pound weight capacity. Now this replacement slider base will fit the BMW Patriot slider 5th wheel trailer hitch and allows you to attach your 5th wheel hitch to the rails in your truck bed. The adjustable pivot arms, which are these right here that I've attached to the base already, this will let you mount the hitch head to fit your application. It has the polyurethane bushings right up at the top here. The hitch head would drop right on top of that. Now these arms when you attach them to here, there's a range of holes on both sides, so you can move the arms front to back for improved cab clearance, and you can also put them up to down to raise or lower. It gives you about three different hitch height settings because you want your trailer that you're towing to be about as level as possible to the tow vehicle, so you can put this in three different hitch height settings, either 17 inch, 18 inch, or 19 inch, and the hitch height is always measured from the truck bed to the top of the hitch head when it's installed in here. more

Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Ram 3500- Video

Today on our 2016 Ram 3500, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the BNW turnover ball on your bed gooseneck trailer hitch, with custom installation kit. Part number BWGNRK1314. Here's what our BNW under bed turnover ball gooseneck hitch is going to look like once it's installed in our vehicle. You'll have the safety chain tie downs that will spring loaded on either side. Now moving over here to the gooseneck portion, you're going to have a powder coated gooseneck with super tight tolerances so everything is going to be nice and secure as well as a two and five sixteenths anodized ball that will prevent any kind of rust and corrosion. This gooseneck is going to offer a seventy-five hundred pound or seven thousand, five hundred pound vertical load limit and thirty thousand pound towing capacity. We're ready to go ahead and insert our ball. To do so we'll come over to the handle, pull the handle to latch it and lock it into position by rotating it towards the driver side. We'll go ahead and drop our ball into position and then latch the side handle, locking it in. more

Today we're going to take a look at the BMW Universal 10 Bolt Base Rails for the 5th wheel trailer hitches. These base rails will provide the necessary attachment points to install your 5th wheel trailer hitch to your truck bed. These rails are compatible with BMW Patriot, the Curt, the Demco, the Draw-Tite, the Hidden Hitch, Husky, Reese and Valley above bed 5th wheel hitches. They are sturdy steel rails, have a nice gray power coat finish to them to help resist corrosion. The kit does include the two rails. They are made in the USA. The mounting brackets and the hardware we do sell separately on our website, they are required for installation of these rails, and what I would recommend to do is just go to our fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle and it will show you the mounting brackets that you would need to attach these rails to your vehicle. Curt Fifth Wheel - Fixed Fifth Wheel - C16515-16025 Review- Video

Today we're going to take a look at the Curt E16 5th wheel trailer hitch for the Chevy and GMC towing prep packages. Has a slide bar jaw design and a 16,000 pound weight capacity. Now this is a custom fit part, it does comes with these custom legs that are designed to fit the Chevrolet and GMC trucks that have the factory installed towing prep packaging starting in 2016. This hitch head features an auto locking slide bar jaw mechanism to provide superior security, has a rear tension bar right back there that'll work this this slide bar to help clamp around your king pin, to help minimize your rattle and your movement. The head is a dual pivoting head, has a 10 degree lateral movement for nice simple hook up. The head does use permalube pivot pushing to increase the hitch life and reduce maintenance. The other nice thing, if you see these pins and clips right here, these two pins, if you remove the clips and the two pins, that'll allow you to take out the head from the cross member and it makes it easy for one person to remove the complete hitch from the truck bed. The skid plate is an anti-rattle skid plate, provides a nice smooth quiet ride. more
