We offer several 2-inch Class III trailer hitch receivers for your 2015 BMW X3 and all can be seen on the link provided at right. The most popular is the Draw-Tite # 76226 which offers 750-lb tongue weight and 5000-lb towing capacities. This 2-inch hitch will provide excellent compatibility with a range of accessories like bike racks and cargo carriers as well as allow you to tow.
The recommended ball mount for use with this hitch is # 2753 and you can choose the ball size you need to match the coupler size on your trailer. For a 2-inch ball use # 63845 or for a 1-7/8-inch size use # 19260. Or for flexibility you can select a kit with multiple ball mounts and balls all together in a handy storage bag, part # 989900.
For a wiring harness we offer kit # 119250KIT from Tekonsha.
For reference I have linked several articles on hitch installation and on general towing guidance.
