Hoist Recommendation To Lift Brass Bird Cage

Question:

I am looking at your DL25727 AC Winch with Load/Unload and remote control to mount up in my 10foot living room ceiling. I need it to lift the top of a 40 pound brass bird cage about a foot off of the base each night when I clean the cage. My scarlet macaw parrot sunshine has enjoyed this cage for 25 years. I am 68 years old and it is getting harder for me to lift that cage every night alone to and from the floor. I would be very grateful for any advice you can offer me. Thanks very much.

The Dutton-Lainson StrongArm Electric Winch, part # DL25727 would sure lift your cage. It is quite a lot bigger than what you need, but it would certainly work. It does have some great features, and when installed would make the job of lifting the cage much easier. Check out the attached video.
