The trailer brake controller custom wiring adapter that you referenced, Tekonsha part # 3023-P works with all Tekonsha controllers unless they are the hard-wire type like your Brakeman. Based on my research the Brakeman has four hard-wired leads exiting its back rather than a plug to accept the adapter.
You can still use the adapter to make the truck-side connection to the under-dash port, and simply cut off the flat connector (that is intended for the rear port on a current Tekonsha controller) and wire the four leads to those on your Brakeman color-for-color. You can use butt connectors like # DW05714 to make those splices.
