Installing Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera # HM50002 on 2001 Ford Ranger
Question:
I have seen a number of reviews that mention disappearing grid lines. Some times they are there and sometimes just one or two colors. Have you experienced this issue? If so, what causes the problem. Thinking about installing on a 2001 Ford Ranger.

I spoke with my contact at Hopkins and most likely the reviews that you have seen were from the previous model of the Smart Hitch Backup Camera. In the past they had a small programming glitch which has since been corrected.
The Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera and Hitch Aligner System, # HM50002, would be a great addition to your 2001 Ford Ranger and now has great customer reviews with no complaints of there being any malfunctions.
