Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for 2013 Ford F-150 with Camper and Tools in Bed plus Trailer  

Question:

i have a 2013 f-150. With a 300 lb aluminum camper shell with 350lbs tools in the truck. 5 liter engine 3.55 diff. and tow a 6500 lb trailer 6 weekends a year. Rear suspension is a bit spongy without trailer. With trailer very spongy. Hat can I do to the rear suspension to help.

Suspension enhancement like the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2525 would be a great choice for you. This will give you support for the rear suspension of your vehicle so that it feels less spongey with and without a trailer. Since the air pressure is adjustable you would be able to adjust the amount of support you need by inflating or deflating the bags when needed.

To make that easier you could get a compressor kit like part # F2158.
