Will Wiring Harness 118420 Fit a 2006 Mazda 3 Grand Touring
Question:
What is different about the Grand Touring that would prevent using this plug-in kit and requires it to use a hardwired kit? Another hitch site lists this kit #118420 for use on the grand touring, and I would prefer to use the plug in kit, if possible.

My contact at TowReady confirmed that the 2006 Mazda 3 Grand Touring models have differently shaped connectors than the standard models, so the # 118420 wiring harness would not be able to be installed on your vehicle.
I recommend using taillight converter # C56175 to wire your vehicle for towing.
I have included a link to the installation instructions for the converter.
